Part 7:
It was a beautiful morning. The birds were singing and the sun was shining. Willow walked into the kitchen where Buffy was reading the paper.
"Good morning Buffy." Willow said with a smile.
"Whoa, where'd the smile come from? I haven't seen it for some time now." Buffy said happy to see it.
"What? Can't a girl smile for no reason? I'm just happy, that's all."
"Last night you were pretty down. I'm just glad to see you feel better."
"Yep, feeling much better, thank you. Coffee?" Willow asked pouring herself a cup.
"No thanks, all full." She said showing Willow her cup.
Buffy put her coat on, grabbed her bag, and headed for the door.
"Where you going Buff? We usually go in together."
"I have some errands to run, I'll see you at school."
"Oh, okay,bye." Willow called.
Willow watched as the students piled into the classroom. They had taken their seats and she noticed one student was missing.
Where's Tara? She's usually one of the first students here.
"Good morning class. Please take your books out and begin reading chapter five. I have to go to the office." She said before rushing out the door. She walked in the door where the secretary was on the phone. She waited very impatiently for her to finish. The secretary eyed her as she hung up the phone.
"Ms. Rosenberg, how are you?"
"I'm fine thank you. I have a question about a student. It's Tara Maclay, did anyone call saying why she's absent?"
"Yes, I just talked to Mr. Maclay a few minutes ago. I was fixing to come down to give you the note."
"Note? There's a note? What note? Is she okay?"
"Calm down Ms. Rosenberg, I realize this is your first time being a teacher but..."
"Please, skip the lecture. What does the note say?" She asked feeling like any minute she could jump over the desk and strangle her.
The secretary gave her an evil look.
"It says that Miss Maclay won't be back, she's moving away."
"She's what? Where? When?" Willow asked feeling her heart drop into her stomach.
"Ms. Rosenberg please? Now, being a teacher consists of...."
"I gotta go." Willow said running out of the office.
She drove as fast as she could. She had to find out what was going on and why. She didn't care about the consequences of her actions, just finding Tara. That's all that mattered. She stopped the car and ran to the door, she knocked. When no one answered she tried the door knob, it opened. She walked in slowly.
"Hello?" She asked but got no answer. She walked in farther only to see it was empty. Out of the corner of her eye she saw what looked like an envelope. She went to see what it was. She looked down and saw her name on it. Tara? She opened it and started reading.
Willow,
I'm so sorry I have to write this letter. Believe me when I say it's the last thing I want to be doing, but I couldn't just leave without saying anything. My dad knows about us, he's taking me away. I told him I don't want to go but he won't listen, he doesn't care. Don't worry, he's not gonna say anything. He's says he doesn't want to go through the trouble. I miss you already, my heart aches every minute we're apart. I never knew happiness until I met you. My heart beats for you Willow, it always will. I'll never forget you and I'll always love you. No matter where I go or what I do, I'll always be yours, and only yours. When I'm around you, my heart sings the most beautiful song I've ever heard. I don't want to say goodbye but what choice do I have? I'm 18 but I don't have anything, no money. Oh Willow, I'm so lost without you. You are so precious to me. I know you'll find love, someone that'll treat you the way you deserve to be treated. My heart breaks thinking of you with someone else but I want you to move on, to be happy. It's what you deserve, that, and so much more. I have to go, we're leaving from the airport at 10:30. Dad's taking us back to Arkansas. I love you Willow, never forget that.
Love always,
Tara
Willow wiped the tears from her eyes. I could never be happy without you Tara. 10:30?
She looked down at her watch. 9:45....I can make it! She bolted out the door and rushed to the airport. If you have to go Tara, it's not going to be without a proper goodbye. Father be damned!
She made it to the airport, ran to the monitor to see which flight was to Arkansas. 365F. She came to the metal detectors where she threw her belongings into the basket and kept going not even bothering to retrieve them. She heard the announcement....
"Final boarding call for flight 365F to Arkansas."
Wait! Tara baby, I'm coming...hold on! She took her heels off and started running as fast as she could.

I know, I'm evil.
