:rofl I loved that chapter! Well I love all the chapters so far, but each one deserves the praise. Some of the lines are so funny, like the eloping one, and the sweatshop one, and the willow correcting Buffy's thing about the rhyme. I really could go on but then I'd just be repeating a bunch of awesome lines that you wrote and therefore know.

I really liked all the realationships in this chapter. Xander is such a good friend, and the W/T cuteness was great. I'm really glad Buffy and Willow are still friends too. Poor Xander getting left behind, and without ju ju bee's no less.

Can't wait for more!

Jack :TV? I love tv. "Buffy" is my life. So into Willow being a les.

Chapter 5: Willows' Gone Wild

Ira Rosenberg sat on his favorite lounge chair, reading The Sunnydale Times thoughtfully. The man had

been home a month now; he was pushing his record. Surprisingly the man had no plans to leave town any

time soon, his work pushed aside to make time for other; much more important things. Like his daughter who,

he noticed, was now running downstairs at a speed that'd make the Roadrunner blush.

"Will, how 'bout some breakfast with your old man?"

Willow turned to her dad, her hand already on the doorknob, "No thanks, I'm late, I was supposed to meet Tara 3 and a half minutes ago."

"Clean your room at least?" The man asked getting up and making his way to the kitchen.

"It's why I'm late." Ira heard from the other room.

"Well at least take..." He heard the door open and close followed by the sounds of Willow getting her bike from outside,

"A banana with you." He finished lamely, well...it was a work in progress.

*******************

Willow parked her bike in front of Tara's trailer home and fixed her helmet hair before knocking on the door.

She sighed as the door opened, "Hey Donny...Tara home?"

Donny smirked, "Heya Will...how about a hug hello?"

Willow peeked inside the house; not seeing Tara's dad she also saw no reason why she had to pretend to like

the boy, "Donny I wouldn't hug you if you cured world hunger."

Donny snorted and shoved Willow aside as he walked out the door, "whatever...loser's in her room."

*******************

Willow knocked on Tara's door before hearing a muffled 'come in' and stepping into the small room.

She saw Tara laying in her bed in her pink 'sleepy sheep' pajamas her still wet fresh-outta-the-shower hair clinging to her cheeks. If she'd ever seen anything more adorable in her short life she couldn't recall.

"You know what's weird?" Tara asked from her bed.

"Japanese commercials are weird" Willow said crawling into the bed next to Tara.

"Yeah...b-but also, they're still making Power Ranger episodes; which is w-weird all by itself but the episodes are the same quality as the one's they made years ago."

Willow turned her head to glance at Tara's small television set...sure enough the Power Rangers

were on, "wow... it's like they refuse to acknowledge all advances in cinematography."

Tara nodded solemnly, "but think about how easy the effects guy must have it."

Willow frowned, "why are we subjecting ourselves to this again?"

"B-best I could do at 11 am on a sunday" Tara shrugged.

"See...and then on monday you're all whining about how boring *school* is..."

Tara pouted, "I don't whine...let's change it, the discovery channel has koala bears."

"I heard they were vicious..." Willow said reaching for the remote.

Tara gave Willow a playful shove "goofball..."

Willow pouted, "namecaller..." she said while rubbing the shoulder Tara had shoved.

"Awww, poor Baby" Tara said, reaching over to rub Willows' shoulder.

Willow sat back and enjoyed the attention Tara was giving her, "who'd a thought I'd be such a pity whore" Willow mumbled.

"W-what was that?" Tara asked still rubbing the other girls' "sore" shoulder.

"Oh...nothing it um...it hurts here too" she pointed to her tummy.

Tara flashed her patented half smile, "but I didn't touch you there."

Willow smirked mischievously, "maybe that's why it hurts."

Tara chuckled softly, "Willow's gone w-wild" she said, reaching down to rub Willows' belly.

Willow giggled, "mnn you know it..."

"Do I have to put a leash on you missy?" Tara asked sternly.

Willows' smile turned even more mischievous if that was possible, "I wish you would..."

As soon as the words were out of the girls mouth Willow found herself under a tickle attack much like the one

she'd inflicted on Tara the night before.

"No! Stop!" She squealed, feeling Tara straddling her (at which point she stopped protesting and decided to um...take it like a woman...yeah that was it...) then she felt her arms pinned above her head by a gorgeous blonde girl (which she also decided not to protest.)

"Well?" Tara asked quirking an eyebrow.

"Huh?" Willow managed still lost in the feeling of Tara- ness on her Willow-ness.

"Magic word" Tara said.

"Oh...um...uncle."

"Uncle...who?"

"Uncle Henry in accounting?" Both girls broke into giggles, "Well this seems similar..." Willow said.

"Yeah...um...Buffy!...how um...h-how is she?" Tara asked, feeling guilty for forgetting her friend; for not asking sooner.

"She's actually really good...a bit embarrassed but.."

Tara shook her head, "She-she shouldn't be, I-I should talk to her..."

"That'd just make her feel worse...trust me, what she really wants is to just forget the whole thing ever happened."

"I can do that." Tara replied readily. As she glanced up she noticed the bracelett she'd given Willow on the girls wrist; she also noticed she was still pinning Willow to the bed...'oops.'

She let the girl go, though she still held on to the hand the bracelett was on, "You w-wore it."

Willow squeezed Tara's hand, "Of course," she said "Always."

Very nice update. I love the comfortable friendship between Willow and Tara, they're so cute together.
Quote:
"but I didn't touch you there"

That was such a gret exchange.

I really liked the brief scene between Willow and her Dad the most though. It kindof made me wonder if her parents were around more, how much Willow would actually spend time with them. On the show it was such a one-sided issue, but how many teenagers actually choose to distance themselves? I know I did. Anyway, I just liked that dynamic, and haven't seen it done before.

Hey again you guys! I'm glad you're still reading it and hopefully you're enjoying reading it as much as I am writing it. And yes...there's a reason I'm putting the little Willow/Mr. Rosenberg snippets on there...it's to set things up for what's coming up next (which i'm not gonna tell you what it is 'cause don't you just hate it when you're reading a story and people tell you what's gonna happen next; ruins the story) BUT...for those of you who thought this was just a happy fluffy fic...think again...Muahhahahaha...coughcough

Chapter 6: Sunnydale High's new 'It' couple

"How's breakfast?" Mr. Rosenberg asked his daughter who was sat across from him in their large dining table.

"Good" Willow said through a mouthful of 'Count Chockula'; glancing at her 'Powerpuff Puff' girls watch for, the...9th

time if Ira wasn't mistaken.

"...Really?" He asked, completely out of conversaition topics.

"Nope... I'm eating it to punish myself" She said before glancing back at her watch one more time, standing and heading to the door "Bye Dad."

"Bye Sweetheart."

*******************

Willow walked up to Tara's trailer home; knocked on the door and got a very unwelcome sense of Deja-vu.

"HiDonnyTarahome?" She rushed through the by now *very* familiar phrase.

"Damn Rosenberg...what's it the millionth time in a row you come 'round here asking the same damn thing?"

"Wow Donny...I'm surprised you can count that high" Willow smirked at the boy.

"Shut up!" The boy growled at her.

"Oooooh...Donny the redfaced redneck" Willow sing-songed mockingly.

She never got to the second verse though as Donny pushed her to the ground, "I said shut up!"

"Leave her alone Donny" Tara stepped out of the house staring daggers at the boy; if looks could kill Donny'd be lying

lifeless next to Willow on the ground.

"And what're you gonna if I don't?" He asked as Willow quickly got up to stand in front of Tara.

"I-I'll call dad" Tara said

Donny snorted, "Dad's hungover Tara" he said as he started towards the door, "Breakfast's done right?"

Tara turned towards Willow once Donny was gone "you okay?" She asked as she checked the girl for any bruises.

"Yeah" Willow nodded "...what's that about your dad?"

Tara sighed, sometimes she hated how perceptive Willow was.

"R-rough night I guess" she shrugged, "come on l-let's get to school."

******************

The two girls were walking, slowly, down Sweetwater Street to Xander's house when Willow tried to smoothly grab Taras' hand without the girl noticing her...of course, Tara noticed.

"You're holding my hand" Tara smirked at Willow.

"Yeah, well...ya know; for protection...you never know what kinda dangerous things might be creeping around the suburbs."

Tara bumped Willow lightly "nut."

Willow gasped, "watch out!" She said, grabbing a hold of Tara's waist and spinning the girl around and away from danger."See?" Willow told Tara, still holding the girl to her.

Tara turned her head to glance at what her hero had 'saved' her from, "Willow...that's Mrs. Beakman's old poodle."

"Jeez there's always a critic...what? No thanks for my valiant efforts?"

Tara giggled, "Sorry, what was I thinking?" She folded her arms around Willows neck and kissed her cheek softly

"My hero" she whispered against the other girls ear.

Willow turned to be face to face with Tara, their lips mere centimeters apart "always" she whispered before leaning down

to softly press her lips to Tara's, not moving or seeking entrance, just pressing. The kiss, their first; unless you count that one time when they were 9 and popped while playing house, wasn't very long or what most would consider very intimate but it was the official start to a love that would last forever.

Tara's lips couldn't help but quirk into a beautiful half-smile as Willow slowly pulled away.

"Are you um...are you sure you're not one of those dangerous things I need protecting from Willow Rosenberg?" She whispered against the girl lips.

Willow shook her head lightly, "Safe Willow" she said before leaning in once again this time latching on to Tara's pouty bottom lip and sucking lightly. She moaned as she felt Tara's tounge tentatively lick her upper lip, she opened her mouth to allow Tara entrance. Their tounges' caressed and explored each others' mouth, both girls eager to learn and seeming to forget their shy nature.

"Hey! Broad daylight much?"

Both girls pulled apart slowly, already recognizing Xander's voice and not at all eager to face the boy.

"Hi Xander..." They both said not turning away from each other; wanting the moment to last for as long as possible.

"If I were talking to you, which I'm not 'cause you ditched me, I'd say hi...and I'd also inform you of the whole

'I'm not talking to you thing'."

"Okay" Willow said wearing an ear-to-ear smile to match Taras'; taking the girls' hand in her own as the three friends

started towards school.

"And also, if I were talking to you and not angry at you I'd say congratulations."

Willow finally turned to Xander, "I am so unbelievably sorry."

Tara turned to the boy too, "We both are."

Xander sighed, "You owe me a saturday."

Willow smirked, "well this saturday I was kinda hopin' to spend some time with my new girlfriend" she turned to Tara hopefully.

"Your new girlfriend?" Tara asked with wide, careful eyes.

"I dunno...my new girlfriend?" Willow asked nervously.

Tara smiled impossibly wider, "Your new girlfriend" she said confidently.

Willow turned to Xander smiling like the luckiest girl in the world, which she knew she was, "my new girlfriend" she said to him, proudly.

Xander smiled, happy for his friends, "Okay I understood none of that...but I think Sunnydale High's got a new 'it' couple."

Hey you guys! As always, thanks for all the awesome feedback! It's much appreciated and encouraged. I hope you guys like this chapter, it's a little angsty I know but it's the real turning-point of the story, anyway, tell me what you think!

Chapter 7: Times like these...

Times like these where perfect, Tara thought. Her and Willow were sprawled on top of old sheets and pillows in Willows' basement; snuggling and kissing and just being two young girls in love. At the moment they were working on the latter, their lips opening and closing against each others mouths. Tara smirked as she felt Willows' increasingly adventorous hand slide from her waist to her chest, stopping to rest on her left breast.

"What are you doing?" She arched an eyebrow at her girlfriend.

"Huh?" Willow asked, confused .

Tara looked pointedly at her chest, Willows' hand still on her breast.

Willow slowly pulled her hand away, looking at it as if it'd grown an extra talking finger, "it's possesed!"

Tara giggled at her girlfriends' silliness, resting her head on Willows' neck, "should I call an exorcist, Darling?"

"Nah, it's perfectly natural for a Willow-hand to be drawn to Tara-Type-Touching."

"uh-huh...and vice-versa" Tara said snuggling further into the crook of Willows' neck.

"You betcha....no Willow can survive without those incredibly essential T's..."

Tara pulled away to face Willow, "those?...you only mentioned one...what's the rest?" she asked, smirking slightly.

Willow smirked wickedly, "Tara-touching ,Tara-time, Tara-talks....Tara-tits"

Tara pushed Willow onto the pillows playfully before she could finish, "you're horrible!"

Willow rolled around giggling, "That's why ya love me."

Tara straddled Willows' lap, and ran her hand through her girlfriends' freshly cut now shorter hair lovingly,

"I love you because of all the reasons that make you, you."

"And I love you too... the whole Tara package" Willow whispered, resting her hands on Tara's waist.

"And Will?" Tara asked sliding her hands from Willows' hair to rest on top of Willows' hands.

"Yeah?"

Tara guided Willows' hands, slowly, away from her waist in through her shirt and up her stomach, to rest on her bra-clad breasts, "I like when you touch me..."

Yes, times like these where perfect; the last month two weeks and four days had been perfect.

"Tara...your dad wants you home!" Mr. Rosenberg called from upstairs, not wanting to go down to the basement and see anything he wasn't supposed to and very much didn't want to; he trusted his daughter.

Both girls sighed pathetically...time moved much too quickly when things were perfect.

********************

Willow parked her bike near Tara's trailer. Ok so maybe it was a little late to be visiting her girlfriend but she highly doubted Tara'd mind a midnight-Willow-visit; it wasn't the first time she'd snuck in through the girls window, she just had to be quiet...and careful...and *quiet*.

"Ow!" Willow landed face first on Taras' floor, she turned to her girlfriend who was sitting on her bed; her legs crossed

and her head bowed so her hair was covering her face from Willows' view, "you need to get a bigger window Baby, lower to the ground maybe?"

"What's wrong?" She stood and walked to the bed to sit next to Tara; feeling suddenly nauseous, not because of her fall,

but because something was threatening her and Tara's happiness, she knew. She took Tara into her arms and felt the girls' arms wrap tightly around her neck, her head fell on her chest and she felt tears on the skin there and knew that soon she'd feel tears stinging her eyes as well. She stroked Tara's hair and just held her, waiting until Tara felt ready to tell her what was wrong so she could fix it.

"We-we're..." Tara took a shuddering breath, "W-w-w-we're mo-moving."

"To a different street...but still in Sunnydale?" Willow asked hopefully.

Tara shook her head, a fresh batch of tears stinging her eyes...how much had she cried today?

"To a different city, still in california, very *near* to Sunnydale?"

Again Tara shook her head, "O-oregon."

"Oregon, what's there, why Oregon?"

"U-uncle Mike."

"Who works as a bartender...what about him?"

"M-m-my d-d-dad lost his j-job...uncle M-mike's letting him work at his b-bar, w-we're gonna st-stay at his tr-trailer park" Tara got out.

"Tara," WiIlow began, wanting the right words to flow out of her mouth for once instead of a sea of wrong ones.

She gently cupped Tara's face, shifting so they could look at one another; she stopped upon seeing Tara's face,

not wanting to believe what she saw, wanting it to be a trick of the moonlight; but knowing deep in her heart and

in the pit of her stomach that it wasn't. "What happened?" She got out, her voice sounding uncharacteristically low

and rough to her own ears, "and please don't tell me you fell."

Even more tears fell from her eyes down to her bruised cheeks, "I-I t-told h-h-him I didn't want to m-m-move; th-that I w-wanted to st-stay here...l-live w-with my aunt...and he-he'd b-been drinking...it doesn't h-happen *all* the time."

"Once is enough!...It's happened before?" Willow asked, barely being able to contain her anger.

Tara had only ever seen Willow this angry once before; they were nine and Donny had shoved her to the ground as her and Willow were walking to the park; she scraped her knee badly and had ended up needing stitches but it had been worth it; she didn't know if Donny had been caught by surprise or if a nine year old Willow was truly that much stronger than a twelve year old Donny but the boy had got his behind handed to him that day. Up until then Tara had never seen anyone but her mother stand up to Donny; and she had certainly never seen anyone hit Donny especially not to defend her honor. Willows' demeanor now reminded her so much of how she'd been that day; so angry and protective.

Willows eyes widened in realization, "All those times...I asked you what had happened; and you always fell, or you

tripped, or you stumbled into....you lied to me; you didn't trust me..." Willow felt as if all the oxygen in her body had left

her; she was feeling so many things and all of them more horrible than the next. Where had she been a week ago? Or

even just a day ago? "I trusted you more than anyone..." she turned to Tara, not a trace of anger or malice in her voice,

she just wanted to understand..."was all that just a lie?"

Tara's heart tore open at the look on Willows' face, her own face mottled with bruises; her cheeks tinted pink along with

her eyes from hours of crying, "No! He-he's a good f-father...w-when he's sober, he j-just has a prob-problem...p-please don't tell."

Willow sighed, and looked down before taking her girlfriend back into her arms and looking her right in the eyes, "I won't tell, but there's no way in heck I'm letting you stay with them...do you have the address?"

Tara nodded, looking into Willows' eyes; amazed at the strength she found there...at the utter love and devotion...was all that for her?

Willow reached into her pants and pulled out her Hello-Kitty wallet; she took out a random business card and a pen from

Tara's dresser, "write it down" she said as she pulled Tara against her yet again, stroking her hair gently and planting loving kisses all around her cheeks; wary of the bruises. "When are they moving?"

"T-t-tommorow" Tara said softly handing the card back to Willow, "ear-early."

"Early early, or drunk early?"

Tara smiled sadly, "d-depends, but I'm betting on the latter" she said snuggling into Willows' neck.

Willow held onto Tara tighter, she looked up and noticed something; "you're not packed."

"M-mobile home" Tara whispered.

"Right..." Willow nodded, "it...uh....can move" she looked down at the address in her hand and turned to Tara, "when you're there; make sure you're always in your room by nine, and always leave the window open, and pack your things...only the important ones so no one gets suspicious, I'll be calling you on my cell phone to let you know how close I am...and if he tries anything again before I get there just leave and I'll try as hard as I can to meet you somewhere as soon as possible."

Tara frowned, "I d-don't un-understand..."

"I'm gonna go and get you...I'm gonna save you; we're gonna run away and be together forever" Willow said, looking lovingly into Tara's eyes.

Tara looked at the bright, strong green eyes in front of her and believed the girl completely.

Hi again guys! Of course thanks for all the replies, they make writing a lot more fun; to know that some people actually do enjoy it; you have no idea how much I appreciate it! Hope you like this one too!

Chapter 8: The run-away brigade

It was almost time. That seemed so strange; like when a much too slow, much too long day finally comes to an end and you have trouble believing that it's actually over. But it was. Well almost anyway; the preparing part of the day was over; now came the hard part; the follow through. And she would....follow through that is; because for Tara she'd do anything...and that was it; nothing and no one could

ever challenge that fact. She thought about the morning, which she promised herself she wouldn't, because she should concentrate on getting her love back not crying herself to a little mopey Willow puddle. But still, she thought about the morning. Thought of her and Taras' stolen kisses before she had to leave, of their whispered promises that they would be together always no matter what happened...and yes of that final moment before the door was closed; the picture still fresh in her mind, Taras' eyes; warm and filled with love, trying so hard to be brave and not cry though the corners threatened to overflow with tears. Tara was trying to be brave...for her. And she would be brave for Tara.

"Are you on drugs?"

Willow looked up, when had her dad...?

"Huh?"

"You've been locked inside your room since six am in the morning staring at the ceiling, you literally haven't spoken a word to me, and what's with the all the peace signs around this room...a man worries; especially if he's a Rosenberg; now what's up?"

"The peace signs have been here since I was nine" Willow said glancing briefly at her 'Cat in the Hat' clock.

"You were on drugs when you were nine?"

Willow rolled her eyes, "no...I've been *peaceful* since I was nine" she sighed "I just don't feel right today."

Ira turned around and reached for the door, "alright I'm here if you need me."

Willow turned to him, her surprise written clearly on her face.

Ira looked at her, "What? I was young...I know."

"Hey dad?" Willow called to him before he left.

"Yeah?"

"If you really care about something, you should do all that you can to protect it...right?"

"Of course you should sweetie" Ira said, before turning to leave.

Willow smiled "good to have your permission dad" she pulled out her backpack from underneath her bed, it wasn't too heavy; filled with only the essentials but still the small backpack was built to only carry schoolbooks and looked oddly large lying in Willows lap.

*****************************

"Remind me why I'm doing this again?" Xander asked as he lifted himself up off the ground, where he'd fallen from trying to climb out of his window.

"Because you love me?" Willow helped her friend up off the ground.

"Because I'm your butt-monkey...just say it...I'm your butt-monkey" The boy said as he began to follow Willow, not knowing for sure where he was being led; just knowing it was somewhere in Oregon and he needed a toothbrush.

Willow turned to him, "I like to think of it as side-kick."

"Will you can put make-up on a pimple...but it's still gonna be there" he said sagely.

Willow checked her face, "I have a pimple?"

Xander sighed, "so what're we gonna hitchhike our way to your lady loves trailer trash hideout?"

Willow raised an eyebrow, "hitchhike...yeah sure; why don't we just send our pictures to the milk carton people *now*, save us all some time?"

"Well we're not gonna *walk* are we?"

"Nope...we're gonna take Jessies' car."

"Jessie...has a *car*?"

"Yeah, his great-uncles' old volvo; that *he* got from *his* uncle, who got it from-"

"Well *that* sounds safe" Xander interrupted.

They both walked in a comfortable silence for a while.

"You know you and Tara? You're kinda like Romeo and Juliet, we just started reading it in English, and you guys are just like them" Xander said, smiling thoughtfully.

Willow turned to him, "They die at the end..."

"Way to ruin a story Will..."

"Way to jinx my life...jeez; you're like the messenger of death."

Xander looked ahead; "look there's Jessie."

"Are you packed?" She asked him.

"Yeah, all ready" The tall, lanky boy said smiling widely.

"Good then; we're all ready to go then I guess" Willow said, not feeling ready at all.

"Wait! Wait for me! I'm coming too!"

Willow didn't have to turn around to know who the voice belonged to, she sighed "fine...but you're riding in the trunk!"

yes!! i can do the celebratory dance of an awesome update!! woohoo...i know ive said it again and im probably going to say it many many more times because im quite forgetful...but i love your writing...your dialogue between the characters is just great...its quite believable and you write everyone just so well...but who are you sticking in the trunk...anya?! or buffy?! im thinking anya because i really cant see willow sticking buffy in the trunk...but you never know...i for one would DEFINATELY stick buffy in the trunk....and then never let her out...but that just wouldnt be nice.

anyways...great update! cant wait for the big rescue!!
