I thought we could use a thread for this show. I have really enjoyed it. I will admit to being a Geena Davis fan but hey I know as a person she's extremely intelligent so I can totally buy her in this character. It's a bit too much like wish fullfilment but perhaps that is why I like it. I mean, she's not perfect, not a democrat, but a conscious independent is way better than what we're currently dealing with. I do like that things aren't easy for her, I like her press secretary and her chief of staff. I love to hate the Sutherland dude.. ugh.. yucky gross. Anyway, I think I am sticking to this one.

I love the show but it hits too close for me. I was raving and fuming at the TV at Sutherland's scheming Republican Speaker of the House (Natasha Henstridge does bitch well) and Mac's middle daughter irritates the hell outta me. But I love Geena Davis. She pulls this off with aplomb, grace and heart. Her character is written to be an honourable woman and I think America needs to see that this could be possible. A woman can do this job. I just wish more women in America would stand up for one. We're fucking spineless in that arena. Ok, stopping now before I hit tirade mode.
