John Doe

This has only been on a few weeks in this country but I'm getting into this programme.

The story is about a man who wakes up on an island with no memory about his past but knowing almost everything else that's knowable.

Also he can only see in black & white (though he sees certain people in colour) and he has a strange mark on his chest which has traces of metal beneath it.

He uses his knowledge to help the police while trying to find out about his past.

So does anyone else watch John Doe?

Um, hate to break this to you, but in this country (where produced, the U.S. of A.), this show was canceled (I think it ran a full 22 eps though). I saw about the first half of the season, but then it seemed to lose focus, and I stopped watching it. YMMV, though.

GG Unless you know something I don't about a revival of the show elsewhere? These things happen sometimes. Out

I'm not particularly surprised since that's what happens to most programs that I like :sob (Earth 2, American Gothic, Nowhere man, Space above and beyond - the list is endless)

i watched it and liked it while it was on. writing had a tendency to ramble into the predictable cop-speak, but hey, what can ya do?

i file this one under Had Potential, Didnt Get The Chance to Live Up To It OR Fail Miserably.

oh well.

thing that bugs me kinda though, is that the creators insisted that , unlike the xfiles, they knew what the unraveled version of their conspiracy was when they started, and itwas apparently just a matter of what to giveaway when. and they were all hopeful. and then got canceled, but of course, no resolution.......:(

Willow: See? That's the thing: no one knows..

I liked John Doe, too.

I really started to notice and look forward to seeing Rekha Sharma, who played Stella, a kinda computer-nerd who I thought was really gorgeous. Wow! :thud

Then they cancelled the show.

Sounds pretty similar to the french comic XIII (Thirteen) or the Bourne Identity.

BB:Hello Xander...and Anya, how is your money?!

A:Fine!Thank you for asking!

Well no amnesia stories aren't very origional however in this case the twist was his knowing almost everything else.

I liked John Doe a lot as well. I like the whole "man without a memory" concept in general. I wasn't too keen on the whole thing with how he knew everything except who he was, but they dealt with that pretty well.

It had potential. I'm really annoyed that they cancelled it.

Willow: Hey Buff. One more thing. Buffy: Yeah? Willow: I’m gay. Buffy: Okay, Will. Xander owes me ten bucks.
