WAR OF 'THE 'PASSION' DVDS
Quote:
May 17, 2004 -- IF you're looking for an animated alternative to Mel Gibson's gruesome gorefest "The Passion of the Christ" when the DVD comes out on Aug. 31, the folks behind "South Park" have just the thing.

Comedy Central is releasing a special three-episode "South Park" DVD with a religious theme to coincide with Gibson's flick hitting stores. The DVD includes this season's already classic "The Passion of the Jew" as well as old favorites "Red Hot Catholic Love" and "Christian Hard Rock."
Now this the Passion DVD that I want to see.

That's a must have for sure. I'll go into town later to look for the DVDs of the season so far. I downloaded 1 and 2, and have watched half of season 1 now. The Halloween episode is my favourite so far. That was very nasty in so many ways. :laugh

I watched my South Park the Movie DVD yesterday. I am going to start a petition to make Cartman´s song about Kyle´s mom our new national anthem. :laugh

Gah, I have not been able to download all the season, so far I have 1 and 2 and 8 and a few episodes from 3 & 4, buuuut...fortunately they have started airing South Park on Dutch TV. :banana

Every day at 6 o´clock. A perfect time to air this show, think of all the little kids who can be taught the values and vocabulary of Eric Cartman. :D

New episode...

Quote:
808 Douche and Turd

When PETA demonstrates against the use of a cow as South Park Elementary’s mascot, the student body is forced to choose a new one. As the election approaches, Kyle tries to convince everyone that his candidate, a giant douche, is better than Cartman’s nominee, a turd sandwich.

Did anyone see it tonight?

Sha'nuff!

Pretty obvious (esp. when Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich came out to debate, to tell who was who* :lol ), but very funny nonetheless (the PETA stuff was of the ilk that's less funny, to me: similar to their Rob Reiner anti-smoking bashing "Let's mock the moralizers," I get it---you can quit beating me over the head now)

GG *SP Turd Sandwich's campaign logo even had a little flag coming off of it, just like President Turd Sandwich! :grin Out

But please, people, let's not be too cynical: Vote for Giant Douche (the country's---and the planet's---future depends on it)! ;)

This was the grosest episode so far I think. Thta kill me baby was funny. :laugh I must say I have not watched the debates because I cannot stand watching you know who, but I deduced that he was the giant douche, because the turd sandwich was ´the vote for change´ etc. am I correct? If so, I figured him as more of a turd.

President Turd Sandwish, Senator Giant Douche (there ARE resemblances involved! ;) )

GG JK at 6'4" is sort of "giant" (and what politician can't fairly be described as a douche?). Whereas Dubya is nuthin' but shit (wrapped in white bread! :p ) Out

[GG moralizes below: don't read if you're not into hearing a sermon]

I'm not particularly a fan of PETA (not a vegetarian, wear leather: I'm a dyke after all! :grin ), but sometimes people moralize because . . . well, they have morals (about Right and Wrong). The Rob Reiner anti-smoking ep was particularly egregious in this regard (as if, because Rob Reiner is fat, he's a No-good hypocrite for being against smoking*), and the Christopher Reeve fetus-eating mockery wasn't much better (Wonder if they'll rerun that one, after his death? I'm sure they will).

I know SP gets "equal opportunity offender/no sacred cows" props, but since that equals (on the part of these well-off white boys) a selfish libertarianism, I reserve the right to say funny:lol -funny:lol -funny:lol -NotFunny:happy -funny:lol -funny.:lol [Team America sounds like this "Left and Right are equally bad" libertarian bullsh*t, too]

*Full-disclosure: GG---being someone who breathes---is passionately against smoking (e.g. non-smoker is just about my only rocksolid dating criteria! ;) )

Ah well that makes more sense anyway, seeing as he was Cartman´s brainchild. I got confused by the vote for change argument I think I hear somewhere applied to the turd. If only the results of that other election would go the same way.

This episode cracked me up. There is something so wrong with hearing Cartman´s itty bitty baby voice.

Another great epsiode.

When the 6th graders got the pic of Stan's mom's boobs and they all needed a few minutes each behind the bush with it :lol

Not to mention that the pic of those boobs was a pic of Cartman's ass :lmao

And what happened to that teacher was sooo wrong, which of course makes it sooo funny :laugh
