Just seen Episode 5 - this series is so good! :-D

Laura Pyper (Ella) is an excellent actress, she plays crazy very well. Thelma is always funny, I'm so glad she's getting interaction with other people and Leon is great.

edited to add

I was Googling the programme and I've found a blog site where the two main actresses seem to post regularly.

Yeah, I was worried when the main character from last season suddenly got killed off, but the new direction for the show is really working. Plus, in many ways, this season feels even more like it should be titled, Thelma the Lesbian Ghost. :p

They kept talking about this show being 'the British version of the Unmentionable Show'. In this second series it is so much better!!! :applause

I'm loving it, especially now Leon can see Thelma. He's really changed this year. Loved the Reservoir Dogs bit (except ewww!)

I liked the bit where Leon was worrying that Thelma had spied on him in the shower. Thelma's reply - "Ew, gross! I may be dead, but I'm not straight!"

I'm surprised no one has come along yet to mention Thelma's ghostly girlfriend. And a very naughty girlfriend she is, too. :lol

Overall, though, I'm afraid I just don't buy the Emma/Malachi "romance" one bit. But then again, things seem to change so quickly on this show that it might be over in another episode or two. I can only hope.

I won't get the chance to watch the second season until the DVD is out. :sob

At the moment it seems to be a March release.

I hope so too. Something must have happened at the end of the last episode - the lightning effect was quite dramatic. Maybe they'll be over it all now.

It's good that other characters are been developed more, especially Leon, but the downside is that Thelma gets less screen time :-(

At least she's not frustrated anymore

New post because it's a week later and a different episode

I enjoyed this week more than the last couple, more stuff going on, especially with Thelma.

Spoiler:
Seems a little out of character that she keeps betraying them, especially when this time it could have meant Leon died. I understand she doesn't want to lose Maya, but then she doesn't know what life (death?) would be like when they moved on. They might go to where Cassie is, rather than just disappear forever. Still, it adds to the dramatic tension! :-D

Next week looks good too.

I have been so awful. I have not watched a single episode yet, though I have been religiously downloading.

Now that Charmed and Supernatural are going on december break I'll have some time.

That's very restrained of you :)

It'll be interesting to hear what you think, watching it all the way through without the weekly break inbetween.

And I still have no idea where it's going!!

Well, the season finale ran this weekend, and I've got to admit that the first reaction I had was - "What the heck was that all about?"

Spoiler:
I kept thinking as Malachi took over the school that Buffy would have simply blown the place up with all the succubi and incubi inside it. Little did I realize that Malachi would burn the place down himself. Or did he? Or did God really burn the place down in reaction to killing Roxanne? And while we're on that subject, what was up with killing Roxanne, anyway?

The final scene struck me as really weird. In some ways, it was flippant on the same level as Buffy and her friends lamenting the loss of the shopping mall after Sunnydale got sucked into the Hellmouth. The school's burned down, their friends are all dead, the "End of Days" may or may not be upon them, so let's laugh about Thelma's silly angel costume while Leon and Emma do a bit of snogging. The End. Huh?? :confused

Plus, in addition to Thelma and Maya the dead lesbians, we also get Tom the dead gay guy. :happy

So is there any word on whether the show will be picked up for Season 3? Or are our intrepid heroes just going to be stuck where they are now?

It's disappointing that have to stoop to killing off gay characters, but I'm past being surprised about it. It doen't stop Hex being a good show though. I've not seen any of season 2 yet. Are there any other gay characters in the show or are they now all dead?

Just my luck. I had cable installed just in time to miss all of season 2. :sob I'll have to wait for it to be repeated or buy the DVDs.

Jago : This may be a spoiler:

There are no gay people left alive, but there is a bad fairy ,one of the more interesting characters in this season. I would not recommend watching season 2 till there is some idea whether there will be a season 3. The ending will have you scratching your head and/or pulling your hair out.

Thanks werewolf. That's what I expected. The release date of the season 1 DVDs was pushed back to coincide with the start of season 2 so if there's going to be a third season it might be a while before I get the chance to watch the second.

So I just started watching this series. I' ve seen the first three episodes and I'm totally hooked.

I love Thelma. She rocks! Big time!

So, does anybody know if there will be a third season?

Aww, bugger!

Ditto. There were two seasons in total, right? It is a bit of an odd programme, but I liked whats-her-name in As If, so I followed her here, and was pleasantly surprised by the wit and imagination of the writers.

As I said, it was all a bit odd, though...

Of course my 'aww bugger' was a little less articulate than your answer Miss Shoe, but I agree that this show was very, very odd. I think the huge plot jumps may have lead to it's demise. If you missed an episode catching up was quite a challenge.

HEX is coming to BBC America!

Saw an ad during Charmed.
So in June American Kittens (with cable) can see Hex.
