Although I'm quite happy to tell people I'm gay if they ask me, I'm still not out to my friends and family in my home town. My home town is a small place and quite traditional in it's morals, so the idea of someone being gay is not so much put down out in the open, but frowned upon quietly and sort of ignored. People will just talk to you and pretend that you're not that way.
I know my family probably won't respond this way to me being gay, but I'm just not sure. Anyone have any advice?
By the way, I'm an 18 year old female from Australia.
