Not necessarily the best Halloween ever, but this was the closest thread I could find to wish everyone else a Happy Halloween!
We live way out in the countryside with only a handful of houses on our entire street, so no kids ever come around. I used to tell Mrs. Gorn all about Halloween back when we lived in Japan, how fun it was, how we had to buy a bunch of candy for all the kids ... and then we end up living where there aren't any kids for miles and miles. Last year we started calling people we knew who didn't live too far away and beg them to bring their kids Trick Or Treating to our house. A lot of people who live further out than we do drive into town anyway, so they stop by on the way. Mrs. Gorn has SO much fun decorating the house, playing scary music, and giving out all kinds of candy & balloons to whoever shows up. Silly, but very fun.
A long-standing tradition my brother & I always had was to watch Disney's "Ichabod & Mr. Toad" every year. Anybody out there seen it? That has to be my all-time favourite Disney cartoon. Anyway, earlier this year Mrs. Gorn & I started working our way through all 7 seasons of Buffy, and the "Halloween" episode was one of our favourites. We vowed to pop that one back in again when Halloween actually came, and - just like that - a new Halloween Tradition was born in the gorn household!!
I hope everyone else out there is having a great Halloween. The holidays of this season - Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's has to be the best stretch of the entire year. And it starts tonight with Halloween.
I hope the roast was good, ktv!
I spent most of my money on liquor and women,
The rest I wasted.
