Well, if any of the organizations that I work with ever decide to record anything, I'll let you know. :party

Are you into 18th century funeral music? That's a lot of what I do. Kinda morbid, but the music is cool.

I'm a tour guide for St. Mary's College of Maryland. I take people around campus whenever I'm asked to, but normally I only really work once a month, when we have open house days. (Then I set up, usher for the parent and student discussion panels, give directions from the events to brunch, and give a tour.) Good times. :)

I've been a Nanny for quite a few years, but I like to take a break in between childcare jobs and do random things until I get bored. Right now I'm "Zone Leader" at my friendly neighborhood Big Lots *rolls eyes* I know it sounds self-important (which it is), but I get to boss people around which is fun. :smug

Also, next year I'm planning to open my own daycare facility. Got to find the right building to buy first, though :)

i work as a legal jill of all trades in a personal injury law firm in california while i wait for the results of the massachusetts bar exam so i can move back there and get to practicing. my background is in civil rights and employment law, so i hope to get back in that field. personal injury is rather loathesome, but i like the two attorneys i work with and it's a great temporary gig.

I'm currently working as an office temp. Or attempting to anyways. I've been working on average 2 days a week because the agencies haven't had any work for me. The uncertainty of when I'll have work is screwing me over in several ways, but mostly financially. But, I'm just trying to gain work experience while I face up to the pleasures of the 'real world' *barf!*.

It's totally what I studied music for! But, until I figure out which direction I'm trying to head in with my life... well, it pays better than a shop job! Huzzah for being a confused 20 year old just out of college!

I'm still at school at the moment, but I've got a job working in a vet's as a receptionist. I get to answer the phones, book appointments, take money and make up prescriptions. Only problem I've got with it is that I don't get paid. Exploitive! Lol. I'm hoping to either get paid soon or do telesales work for my mum's company.
Trying to find my own direction on this busy one way street where all the influential people never bother helping me.

I work at JCPenney's. In the fine jewelry department.

My nametag says I'm a fine jewelry specialist, but really... I don't know much yet. I just stand behind the counter, stare at shineys, keep things clean, and assist people in buying sparklies for their loved ones and themselves.

I'm a communications technician for Comcast. To quote a recent customer, I'm a "Lady Cable Guy." I get to do cool stuff like climb poles and ladders, and I have no shame in geeking out when talking about cable boxes, HDTV, and DVRs. It's a mostly male dominated field, but I've gotten a lot of respect from the guys I work with. I've already met some really interesting people, been in houses that range from palatial to garbage ridden, and seen views of San Francisco only visible from the top of a telephone pole or the roof of a third story building. I used to think cable TV was just hooking up a box to a television set . . . boy was I wrong. It takes a lot to wire a house and add additional outlets so people can watch tv in every nook and cranny of their house. Got bad cable? I have to rip it out and put in a new line. Channels not coming in? It can be as simple as a tv not being on channel 3 (yes, that's happened) or as hard as connecting a new cable from the top of a telephone pole to the house. But I love it so far. Plus I get a cool hard hat. And all the Comcast services I want. Free. TV with all the channels ( I mean the HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime kind of free). Cable internet. Free. Comcast Digital Voice. Free. Hehe. Life is good.

Oh Foomatic, you are The Foo. Very spiffy pic.

As anyone who reads my ramblings probably already knows, I just started a small vegetable farm. So I spend my days tilling, or planting, or hoophouse constructing. Or, like today, I spend hours in front of excel spreadsheets calculating out succession planting schemes, seeds needed per row foot, the cheapest supply sources, etc. Which tends to make my brain hurt.

Which brings me to a point! Any Kittens in the Kansas City area? Know anybody interested in organic farming? A really wonderful apprenticeship program is still recruiting for this season, and my farm is on the list to have at least one apprentice. So Hark! Spread the word! Let me know, I'll pass along the info.

And, on a glum note, very soon my Saturdays will start at 3 a.m. again, as I need to pack up and go to the farmers market eeeaaaarly. Thank god for coffee.

I am graduating with my b.a. in history and hope to go into underwater archeology but for now I dive in tanks with manatees (I still can’t figure out how sailors thought they were mermaids!) at a rehabilitation center in Florida.

Second Fig: My roommate (a budding archaeologist herself) is taking a course on underwater archaeology. I think she likes it. ;)

Wish I knew where I was working this summer...my sister gave me information on an internship at a local theatre company, but I'm not sure it's quite what I'm looking for. And the store I was planning to work at doesn't take employees on for just the summer. I need options, and I don't have them!
