Ok, I'm a lesbian, as well as a huge W/T fan. I made a video featuring our two favorite girls and posted it on youtube. It's a music video, made to the song Now and Forever by Richard Marx. Now, the ONE line in the song that does not work for W/T is the chorus "Now and Forever I will be your MAN."
In my opinion, if the rest of the song fits, you can just imagine a WO in front of the man in the song, and it works perfectly. I will not post the link to the video because it is not KB friendly (it features clips from after the horrendous mistake), but I recieved a reply calling me a sh*t starter. I replied to that that the person should make videos before commenting that sort of thing on someone else's, but she replied back "listen, Sh*t starter, I don't need to put together vids to call you on your worse intentions behind this crap of yours because I'm a lesbian and you only are out to offend lesbians by using this music as if there weren't enough homophobia in this world. Your video is trash, Your intentions are trash and so are you, SH*T STARTER."
I replied back telling her that I am a lesbian, and I made the video for fun and because I enjoy the song, but she still seems to think I am homophobic, as she replied back "Oh, no, honey, however, allow me to apologize for the heat of the last comment. Now, I'll tell you that you don't make any case saying that you are a lesbian so you have some special license to offend others. I've met plenty of gay and lesbian homophobes. Actually that why you can't get married in this country.
I think your work of art is passive aggressive, uncalled for and provocative. You know very well what you're doing and that's why I still think you are a sh*t starter."
My question is this: Does ONE WORD make me homophobic, and make the entire video offensive? I really can't understand why that one word makes a difference and was hoping someone could explain why they feel it does, if indeed someone here agrees with my friend over on youtube.

One word in a song shouldnt really change anything to it. Actually when i watch a vid i dont pay that much attention to the lyrics, more like, the flow of the music with what youre showing.
I have no doubt that you did the best with the song you had, and besides, the video is your own personal creation. You had the inspiration and it was your vision for the work. That gives you the right to do whatever you think fits. Don't pay it any attention.

) but your thread made me want to post.
