Remembering Steve Irwin

Postby WebWarlock » Mon Sep 04, 2006 10:11 am

Breaking news this morning, Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter, is dead.

While it's no big surprise; he was killed by a stingray, it is still sad.

Say what you like about the guy, he died doing what he loved. What makes me the saddest though is that he is leaving behind a wife and two small children.

I am afraid that now people will take this chance to take pot shots at the guy.

Well, I thought he was crazy to go around snakes, but he was a decent, funny guy, and I feel a deep sympathy for his wife and kids.

The only comfort is that he was doing something he clearly loved.

RIP Croc Hunter.

He died doing something he loved. It's a shame he left his family behind but I'm certain that Steve Irwin will not be forgotten, his bravery (or whatever you wish to call it) and his passion for all creatures will ensure he is remembered fondly.

I loved Steve Irwin. He was always so funny and energetic. CRIKEY!

It is unbelievable how he has handled the most dangerous snakes and crocodiles in the world but gets killed by a stingray.

I thought he was great. He was so pasionate and enthusiastic about the animals that it drew you in. It has been a long time since a "celebrity" death has effected me in any way. I feel really sad that he is dead.

My thoughts go out to his family. What a horrible loss.

I loved him, too. I remember watching his shows with my dad when I was younger....some of the only times we ever got along. I actually remember alot of stuff that I learned from his show. The world needs more people like him...people that actually care about saving the world. He died doing what he loved to do.
