When I was a kid...

For some reason I was thinking about how different life becomes when you reach adulthood and how some of it seems so arbitrary...how things you loved as a child you can't stomach now and vice versa...for example...

As a child I loved hot weather and hated vegetables...now it's just the opposite...hmmmmmm...

when i was a kid i loved hanging out with people and had a lot of friends now i dont like hanging out with people and i have no friends! and for some odd reason i like it better now then when i was a kid

Oh this is fun.
As a kid I liked the taste of mussels (i.e: a marine bivalve mollusk, usually having a dark elongated shell), now the idea of eating one makes me want to hurl.
As a kid I was terrified of thunder, now I love it, just not when I am walking about in an open field, heh.

When I was a kid bugs never bothered me. In fact, I'd always be picking them up and carrying them around. Mom never knew what she would find in my pockets. Nowadays, I generally run out of the room shrieking in terror. The bigger the bug, the louder the shriek. And god forbid a Green Fig beetle gets within 10 feet of me!

They're huge and they have a really loud buzz so you hear them before you see them. And I think they're kind of blind, because they crash into anything that's in their flight path, including you. And god forbid you get one stuck in your hair. :::shudders:::

my bet's they're really, utterly dumb like australian houseflies. i swear they're completely stupid. that or they're too fat to fly properly so they actually bump into people. i have never, before my coming here, seen houseflies that DONT shun people but just bumble along.

and why would you have an insect stuck in your hair? imagine it burrowing into your skull... gah! thus praise the inventions of newspapers and those insect electrocuting bats.

um, on topic: when i was a kid...i don't think about sex. now sex's on my mind a lot? ;x

Also: I can drive now which is one of my favourite things, whereas before I could only drive my little peddle-car, and that didn't get me very far....

When I was a kid, I was the first one in my neighborhood to have a Green Machine, which I got for my birthday. In the instant popularity that (temporarily) followed, I experienced the rush of deciding who got to be cool and who didn't, by dictating who got to take a turn and who didn't, in what order, etc. I admit, the power got to me, and it was very upsetting when another kid down the street got one for Christmas.

I've given on my despotic ways, though I still wish they made Green Machines for grownups.
