If you've been lurking for a while, you'll know that everyone here is pretty friendly, and i know a few in "real life" (whatever that is) - and they've been all pretty cool...no certified psychos just yet...and i'm keeping my fingers crossed to not meet any. but if you want to meet..."real" people, school is usually a great place...try the GLBT club on campus, there's usually one in every school...



anyway, just wanted to say hello...and show my support for a fellow taiwanese!!

glad i can meet some taiwanese here too. i live in taipei, for now, but like i said i'm moving to LA this august.

i know kittens are kind and wonderful, but i was just wondering how i can meet people in "real life"

...yeah, i guess GLBT groups will be my best shot! thanks! but anything other than that? like go to coffee house, clubs or something?



i guess i'm just the nervous type, i got so anxious before i go to any new place

well, clubs always worked for me...but it's never really a relationship/friendship i wanted to pursue...you meet people in shallow places, and that's the kind of relationship you're going to have. depending on what you like, go the the place that you're most interested in...for me, i love the bookstore, so it's not difficult for me to go to a barnes and noble and strike up a conversation with someone browsing the same section i am. hope that helps...so what area are you from in taipei?

hmm... i believe that i'm the first Michigan kitten to show up. Too bad. i live in a small town called Clare basically in the middle of the mitten. how small is my town you ask? i graduated high school with 88 people. now i attend alma college [in the town of alma MI] and only have 1500 total students. if there are any kittens nearby, as in residing in Michigan that would be sweet. lata

bookstore is actually a good idea, i like bookstores too, just that i dunno if it's becuz i'm shy or not talkative or whatever, i can't talk to strangers, it was a struggle for me to even talk to people on Internet...oh well...



i live in Nei-Hu, Taipei. if u know where that is. nice place, i like it, lived here all my life except for the time i'm was in high school. i went to high school in Taichung.

oh, speaking of small town, well, Taichung wasn't small, but my high school was super super small, about 200 people K-12.

I just got out of there, I graduated with only 12 other seniors, boy am i glad that i'm not high school anymore.

hey, i know where that is...my family is in tian-mu...but tiachung isn't really that small...i've been there...it's a little country, but not small...relatively speaking anyway...



you'll just have to learn to open your mouth and not be shy around strangers when you get here, it's difficult, but results can well be worth it. you'll never know who's worth getting to know without talking to them...
