There's so much wind. I couldn't sleep all night long. It was making too much noise... Honestly Velux® windows are nice for stargazing and all but when there is hard rain and/or wind it is a hell. Sweet rain is nice, hard rain? not in the middle of the night.
I hope that all this wind will not make troubles on the TGV today.

Just at the tail end of one ice storm and headed into another. There is icy snow on the ground and nothing but grey in the sky. I haven't actually been outside today, but it is even cold inside.

it's 38 and cloudy as always here, but there are patches of glorious sunlight poking through... i'm starting to wonder if i'm cut out for living in the northwest.

It's getting colder, probably from that cold front that ripped through the midwest earlier. Nice to see Boschi posting - I was worried she might be one of those one million people without electricity.

Just the right amout on cold. Nice and frosty, lasting through til the afternoon, and you can see your breath. Ahhh..

Not nice, cold and not dark but not bright either. The sky is weird. And it is not dark as I said but it is not far from it either. We will need the lights on if it keep going like this... and it's midday!

The forecast for today describes a "wintry mix." Wintry mix? Like snack mix? Or trail mix? I am not fooled. What they mean is cold and sleety.

ETA: Evidentially wintry mix also includes hail.

it's been snowing heavily since a little after noontime...they still keep saying "3-6 inches" on the news even though we already have about 8 and it's showing no signs of letting up
