Mine is just a nickname from my SCUBA-diving buddy. We used to go to Cozumel, so she tweaked my name to add a little Mexican flavor. It's supposed to be El Doña, but I didn't know how to put a "tilda" on the n to make an ñ, so I went with the "sorta" pronunciation.



I didn't tell her that, being female, it should have been La Doña. And anyway, I like El Doña much better than La Doña -- I guess because there's a little butch hiding inside of me...

Well, when i was in 10th grade I couldn't make up a Yahoo ID name, so I went with Mandy, which is what i went by with Family. Back then if anyone called me Mandy besides family, it made my skin crawl. So there's the "mandy" part. And then the second part was to make it kind of a question. I was a horny teen then. Blah. "mandy_anyone"? So yea, since, it's kinda stuck with me.



It's still my Yahoo ID as well as my ID on everything else.

Well actually I started out as Yana on another site because my name in Janna and in russian/slovic languages the pronunciation is Yana, although I only have one friend who on occasion uses that pronunciation.



But when I got here that name had been taken so I was like hmm...what are some good elements I've seen in names before. I remembered DarkWiccan and I had seen many others with wiccan in the name and I thought hey I should use wiccan some how. But like DarkWiccan (and sorry I keep using your name so much but you are one of my heroes) I'm not actually wiccan, I consider myself pagan, or pseudo-pagan because I'm too lazy to be religious.



As for the botanist that part is easy. I am a botanist. I like plants. Plants are really cool they can do crazy stuff that humans can't. And they are really easy to study because they are easy to catch. In fact it was because paganism that I got into plants. Herbal remedies and that sort of thing. I like tea, many different plants either wild or cultivated make excellent herbal teas. Plus there is the bonus for knowing edible plants for say when you get lost in the woods. And the other bonus of knowing what plants can kill people....uh I mean.... (As my bot prof says "Move over Kavorkian botanist coming through!")



Sorry that was probably disturbing to all of you and now no one will ever talk to me again. Actually I have a theory on how I'm going to die and it is going to involve me accidently ingesting or some other way of me poisoning myself with a plant. Again I'm probably disturbing you all so I'm going to stop with the rambing now.....
