I thought I would cut down on caffeine. Not that I'm going crazy or anything but mostly because I'm not losing weight like I thought I should and besides eating chocolate, I don't know what else is up. So I made some decaf tea for at home and figured I would drink my own decaf but caffeinated when out. Five days later, I've had caffeine two days and not two days and finally gave in today when I felt like crap and exhausted. I don't have a headache but I don't know if how exhausted I feel is due to the no caffeine or not. I'm still going to work on cutting down but I don't want to feel like falling asleep. Really, it's my only addiction.

Thanks Justskipit! I am back to announce that I am at 90 pounds lost! I am just now 11 away from my BMI which I didn't think I'd ever reach. I want to be able to say I lost 100 pounds, that would be amazing! I just wanted to be comfortable and I've been for a while, but I've kept on losing so now being absolute normal weight is totally within reach! I might even post some pics when I get a good recent one taken.

You were right about the exercise. I've been committed to it for like a month. I've gotten coworkers of all sizes to come walking to a park that's 1 minute away. We walk after school for about 30 minutes. On the weekend I got my best gay boyfriend to come out and walk with me! In the last 2 months, even before I started walking, I've lost 10 pounds. I am not sure what's happening cause I'd had a long stall but I am happy! I am more committed to making the time to walk and getting others involved because god knows we all need it!

Oh and caffeine is great I think in small doses, I know many women who suffer from different ailments that get better when they cut down on the caf.

Any kittens interested in eating raw? This is a great little educational snippet for the kiddos about the benefits of a raw food diet.

Hey Emms,
We're going mostly raw at home. My wife's doing nearly all the food prep. We borrowed an old dehydrator and bought a used Vitamix. My wife just ordered an Excalibur dehydrator which is supposed to be like the holy grail (way to mix my mythology) of dehydrators and we're waiting or it to come. Tonight's dinner is raw satay with a big salad.

Hey, that's awesome, JustSkipIt!... I'm a newbie to the whole raw foods thing but am interested in giving it a try. I think I'd like to get a book with some easy-type recipes to start... any suggestions?

Emms - I'll ask my wife. She's bought 3-4 and checked a lot out of the library but I don't know which is which. I'll find out thought.

Emms,
Ok. She recommends Everyday Raw by Matt somebody. After that, the complete book of raw food with a warning that the index in it is totally wrong.

If you're on FB (I think you're not), I'm posting pictures and recipes in a photo album as we try things and I have the recipe.

Thanks JustSkipIt! Great earlier idea, btw, about the library... i wonder why going to the library hadn't even crossed my mind...? :blush

And I am on FB...I just haven't posted anything on my wall (?) board(?) thingy...(what!?? I sooo did not create an account only so I could spy on my ex wife's ex girlfriend!!) :joss :ashamed :whistle

Anyhoo... I'd love to check out your postings on FB. This tentative (raw foods) newbie thinks pictures of recipes and/or recipes sans pictures would be very helpful.

Hey Emms,
Until you can friend me on FB, here's the link to the album I'm putting up with some recipes and pictures. The three things we made tonight (oops, Rachel made tonight and I ate them) were delicious.
