I would definitely want to really live with her till we said goodbye. I think it depends on how a person goes about accepting or rejecting the reality of her/his death. Denial does not seem to be an issue in your question as a predestination of death has already been calculated. What would be important with this situation is that as we are in the mental incapacity of imagining our own death, it would lead to an emotional adjustment with the value that life holds in the company of the loved one.
