Aiwë is elvish for bird. I'm not into Tolkien, but one of my friends is, and a few years ago we started a role playing game (which stranded really quickly) and I needed a name. Now Aiwe is the name of my website, weblog and my username on a lot of websites. It's nice and short, not as often taken when I register somewhere as my real name.
