Chapter Seventeen



"Mmm...that was...outstanding....exquisite...wow...." Willow purred.



"I aim to please...m'lady." Tara grinned.



"...and you do...very much!" Willow-grin."...but don't think that you're going to get me to forget so easily..."



Oh my - she is persistent, isn't she! Have to give her that...she's so cute!



Tara snuggled closer, Willow putting her arm around her.



"It was just a really nice dream...and I hope it comes true someday..." she said with a smile.



"If I have anything to say about it, it will....I want to make all of your dreams come true, baby."



Willow looked into those eyes of blue, leaning her head to one side, as if trying to take it all in...



I really do want to make your dreams come true...everything...forever... for you, Tara. Always.



"You already do, Willow." she said.



"Mine, too." Willow smiled. She wanted to say more, but the words just seem to come out...she did the only thing that she could do to show her exactly what she meant, she kissed her...



Nothing more was said about the dream...neither of them wanted to risk jinxing it....



"You know what I'm dreaming about right now?"



"Hmmmm...a large mocha, extra whipped cream?" Tara said, giggling.



"How do you do that?!!" Willow's eyes got about the size of pie plates.



"Do what?" Tara asked, innocently.



"That!"



"What, that?"



"That reading my mind...knowing what is going on in my head - even when I don't thing!"



"Don't you know?"



Willow shook her head no.



"Baby, when we made love, you let me see a part of you that you've never let anyone else see before. You're always so busy, trying to be the best friend to Buffy and Xander; the strong, brainy, talented sorceress for the Scoobies; the perfect, loving and dutiful daughter to your parents...but with me, you get to be Willow. I get a part of you that they'll never know...the most wonderful part of all...your soul."



Willow had never felt so loved, yet so vulnerable...



I'm giving you my heart, Tara...please be careful with it...please?



I will, baby...always.

This is pretty much their story isn't it? Willow always holds back when it comes to The Scoobies. Willow shows Tara all of her vulnerabilities. A perfect example of this is "The Body."

Willow breaks down and completely falls apart in front of Tara but then, puts on her brave face for The Scoobies. She has always been The "rock" of The Scooby Gang, but she now has her own personal rock in Tara.

Tara: My heart doesn't stutter.


Tara: Willow, I got so lost.

Willow: I found you. I will always find you.

Chapter Eighteen



After their beautiful weekend together, Willow and Tara came to the unfortunate realization that they had to return to normalcy and resume classes Monday morning...



"Ohhhh...classes tomorrow..." Willow groaned.



"Yup...it is Monday..." Tara added.



"The audacity of them...don't they know that I have a strict schedule of smoochies and Tara-snuggles that I must keep?"



"I don't think that they'll take that into consideration...but I will!" Tara smiled.



"I don't want to leave here, Tara...can't we just stay here forever?" Willow said, half joking - half not. She wrapped her arm around Tara's soft stomach and threw her leg over top of her's posessively.



"As much as I wish we could...I think we might get hungry eventually..." Tara said, running her hand up and down Willow's back, caressing her lovingly.



Willow smiled...



"It's just that..." Tara noticed her hesitation...



"Just what, baby?"



"It's just that everything is just so great...I'm almost afraid to get up...like maybe it will all have been a dream or something..."



Tara knew what she was feeling...exactly what she was feeling.



"It's a dream come true, baby...and I'm not going anywhere...I'm going to be right here with you."



Willow smiled...Tara always seemed to know the right thing to say.



"Yeah, it is, isn't it?" she said, grazing Tara's lips with her own.



"Definitely."



"We probably should check in with the gang...see if we missed anything..."



"We have been rather pre-occupied..." Tara said with a grin.



"I probably should run back to my room and check on Buffy and stuff...you know...make sure everything's okay with the big bad's and all..."



"Ooooh - gonna kiss and tell?" Tara said, tickling Willow in the side.



"No!....No fair!" Willow said, laughing...finally, the tickle-assault subsided...



"What I was TRYING to say is no...I'm not going to kiss and tell...Buffy's my best friend and all...and I really love her a lot - she's like my sister actually - and it's not that I don't want to run and shout how much I love you from the nearest mountain-top and all...but what we do...what we have...it's so special...I just kinda wanna keep it as mine...you know...ours..."



Ours....us...together...we're really together...and she's babbling again...she is so cute when she does that!



Tara gently caressed Willow's face with the back of her hand, coming to rest under her chin as she leaned in and slowly, passionately kissed her...eventually pulling away, only to return to playfully nibble on her bottom lip...



"Wow..." Willow said, dazed.



"Just wanted to give you a reason to come back here tonight..." Tara purred...



"Wow...." still in a daze...



Tara started laughing..."Go on, baby...you'd better go check on Buffy...and I've got some errands I need to run, too....but I'll be back here when you get back tonight..."



"Promise?"



"Definitely...."



"Well....okay...I suppose..." Willow said, dragging her feet...



"Oh come on...get going...Buffy's waiting... I'll see you later baby..."



"Oh, alright..." Willow said, pouting as she walked out the door... "But I just want you to know...if I go completely mad from lack of smoochies and snuggles...it's all your fault..." she said with a wink.



"I'll make it up to you later...you can count on it..." Tara said, smiling.



"Mmm-hmmm...." she said, starting to walk down the hallway.



"Willow?"



Willow turned around...



"Clothes?" Tara said, giggling...



Willow looked down, suddenly coming to the realization that she was standing in the hallway without a stitch of clothing on her...

she quickly jumped into the door...



"Thought it felt a little breezy..."

Chapter Nineteen



Willow barely remembered walking back to her dorm room...she tried the door, it was unlocked. Buffy was home...



"Hey there lover-girl! You two finally decide to come up for air?" Buffy grinned.



Willow plopped down on the end of Buffy's bed, falling onto her back, arms outstretched above her head...letting out a long sigh...



"I can honestly say, without a doubt, that this was the BEST few days of my ENTIRE life..."



Buffy couldn't help but notice the relaxed smile and definite look of content on her best friend's face.



Wow...how come I don't look like that after Riley and I...



"So tell me all about it...I can't wait to hear all of the details!" Buffy said, excitedly...



Did I just say that? Oh boy...I don't know if I'm ready for that...too much information...



"...wait - maybe not ALL of the details...you know...not the 'naked' stuff and everything...but what happened?"



"Buff...all I can say is that she's the most amazing person I've ever met...well, except for you, of course...but I can't count you - because I don't feel that way about you...ya know? But she's so beautiful...and so kind...and so soft..." Willow was in her own little piece of Heaven...



"Okay...I think that's enough information..." Buffy said, getting a little uncomfortable...



"It's just...for the first time in my life...I'm really happy! I mean, not that I was all unhappy before and stuff...but, I just can't explain it...I'm happier than I've ever been, Buffy."



"Were you happy with Oz?"



Willow had to think about it for a while...



"It wasn't that I wasn't happy with Oz. I was...in a way..."



Okay...how do I want to say this...



"It's kinda like...things with Oz were fun and all...and I think that I thought that I loved him at the time...but it was more like I was in love with being in love. I mean...everybody had somebody, except me...and when I found out Oz liked me...and I liked him....but not 'liked-him liked him'...I was flattered...and finally - I had somebody....and before, I thought that none of the guys liked me, you know, for anything more than a friend or a convenient tutor-type person...but maybe it wasn't that they didn't like me...maybe it was that they weren't really what I wanted...and I wasn't ready to accept that yet....am I makin' any sense here?"



"Kind of..." Buffy said, not quite totally understanding "...but, I don't mean to be blunt here...but didn't you 'enjoy' things with Oz?"



"Things?" Willow's mind wasn't quite on the same wavelength as Buffy...



"Yeah...you know...'things'..." Buffy said, emphasizing the word...



Suddenly, Willow got it...



"Oh....'things'....yeah, 'things' were good with Oz and all...but there was no real emotional feelings about it...more like something we were doing because it was physically fun...know what I mean?"



Buffy knew exactly what she meant...she felt the same way every time she and Riley slept together...as if she was doing it for the enjoyment of it all...but she knew there was something missing...and that something was Angel.



"Yeah, Will. I think so...so with Tara?"



"With Tara...things are just...well....the only way I can describe it is 'magical'." Willow became lost in thoughts of Tara swimming through her mind.



"I love her, Buffy." Willow said, matter of factly "...and I'm going to spend the rest of my life with her."



The Slayer looked into her friend's eyes, and could see that it was true. Willow had found her soul mate. Buffy felt happy, but sad - all at the same time... Happy for Willow - that she had finally found her heart's desire...but sad, as she realized that she had lost hers.....

I sympathise for the TATTOO-ouchies, CZ!



I really liked chapter 19! It's very emotional, and Willow's behaviour is so endearing and sweet!

The way she's talking about her love, her dreamy state, the faraway look, *Sighs* JUST WONDERFUL!



I also feel sad for Buffy, as she lost that special someone who made her feel this way!
