A Kitten W/T episode guide

I live outside the US, the UK, Europe (and the world, maybe? Sometimes seems like it... ) and came to Buffy only by mid season 5 (and if the rumours are correct, they lost me already). The show is pretty much out of context here and *helped* by a dreadful dubbing - it is difficult to see its messages at all. Other sites with episode guides that comment on the meanings hidden in each ep are very useful to understand and rethink them...



It would be a major task, but after reading for months your insightful -and absolutely lovely- comments on the details of W/T, I think that it would be a landmark for the Kitten board to write down, ep by ep, its views on the evolution of the relationship. Not just *what happens in it* but its inner meaning -and a few smutty thoughts, I guess -. It could also help to have a permanent record of W/T, its importance, and explaining the cliche *on the field*. Otherwise, I'm afraid many of the wonderful discussions that I read here will be lost when should be highlighted.



Volunteer *veteran* kittens can write down a few eps each and the rest of us can add our views to it. The way it should be organized is let to the moderator's discretion -as everything else!-



If there's someone able to write a handbook on W/T its you, kittens! (Please, pleeeease, say YES!!!)

I kinda like that idea. I've done some of this before.. in some fashion, so I'd love to take a stab at the first episodes in season 4. I think it would be good to take different point of views on each episode. No one should do more than a few eps, say 4. But I think any episode can have more than 1. Then we can collect it and I can make a neat web page for the episode guide.



First thing would be to get all the episodes assigned. All episodes should be filled but they all can have more than one.

One other little suggestion - I'm not sure how you would want to do it, but it would be great if we could include the cut scenes from the shooting scripts.



Like the 'if you were lost' lines from 'Blood Ties,' or the 'I could heal' lines from 'Where the Wild Things Are,' or the 'Evil's good' line from 'Seeing Red.'



They had a history of cutting out some of the best W/T lines from the actual shows, so it would be great if they could be included as a part of the summary or as a sidebar/footnote. Especially since a lot of fans don't even know they exist.



Just a thought.

I've been thinking of doing something like this myself but when I think about, it becomes book-length. I was thinking of something that would to explore the evolution of Willow's sexual identity, and focus specifically on the W/T 'ship. It would include the type of analysis you guys are talking about, plus the stuff that was left on the cutting room floor, and...



Gapper Fics. As in filling in the gaps. That's what I call all those fics that pick up where the show's W/T scenes end and often lead to smutty goodness, and sometimes even some character development. The W/T fic world boasts a lot of incredible writers. We all know that. One of my favorite things is seeing where their imaginations take them in those spaces between the W/T scenes ME writes. For instance, there are many different version of Willow and Tara's first time. So many that looking at them could be a chapter unto itself. You know, when did it happen? How did it happen? Who did what to whom and who squealed with delight when they did it...? I think it's important that we all get a chance to express our take on the 'ship. Plus, it's just fun.



I think it'd also be fun to see a section involving what might've happened to future W/T had it not ended so fucking horribly this year. Like DarkWiccan's lovely "No Matter Where You Go... There You Are" fic.



So I say go for it! This is going to be a wonderful thing. Even better if we fill in the blanks ourselves.

Hi,



I've been kind of doing this and building a website around it.

I've done a complete guide to all the W/T eps in Season 4 - that took some late nights for a couple of weeks !



I've done up to Family in season 5, but only got them in draft format so far. I've tried to let each ep rest a day or two so I can come back to it fresh and remove and silly typos, mistakes etc.



I'd love to hear people (gentle - its my first website :-) comments ?



I am hoping to get to the end of Season 5 within another few weeks.



I think I am mentally holding back from Season 6 - cause I know its going to be hard...
