Hmm Amber Benson, well I wish I had said my thanks when I could look her in the eye. *sigh* I wish a great many things these days.



I wish her well in all she does, she has given something rare to many people, hope and kindness, and it is priceless. I shall repeat my last sentence from the thread for Aly, as it applies to Amber as well. Heh. Okay, so I am lazy.



Thank you for giving life to Tara, thank you for giving life to Willow and Tara, thank you for being who you are and for reminding me there is beauty in this world.

It's all a blur to me Ruth. All I remember was my own ass in that pic, the one on top of my shoulders. I do remember Puff putting up a valiant struggle not to -uhm- some things are best not shared. Well Amber's good grace in my presence just proves she is truly one of a kind.

Amber - I love you. Your devotion to the fans is something that everyone else on the show should've taken a cue from a very long time ago, and your portrayal of Tara has been so wonderful and so amazing to see. You have been the one bright point in this whole freaking season and I am so incredibly hurt and shocked at the way in which the writers decided to "thank you" for your hard work on the show. You and Aly together have touched more people that anyone else on Buffy, and have without a doubt been my favorite thing on screen for the past two years. I know you'll move on and do something extremely incredible that will blow our socks off, and I'll be there, watching as always. Thank you, for your time, your work, your dedication, your kindness to the fans, but mostly, thank you for being you.

Amber is an amazing actress, and a lot of times her character was put to limited use. It was great to watch Tara grow from the extremely shy, stuttering girl she started out as.....her growing strength and self-confidence was exciting to see. I hope she'll come back somehow, but I won't get into that here (grrr). Tara was an incredible character brought to life by a wonderful actress.



Even though I'm not gay, I was/am a huge fan of the true love that Willow and Tara shared.....they make a perfect match and anyone with eyes could see they belong together. I will always be an Amber Benson fan and I'll support her in whatever she does.

Amber... this woman has touched me on so many levels it's hard to explain. Well first, obviously, I'm a lesbian and I have eyes so of course I fell madly in love the minute I saw her (it's that whole "Did my heart love till now?/Forswear it, sight./For I ne'er saw true beauty till/this night." thing that happened when I first saw Hush*g*) I thank you for that, Amber. Thank you for being so insanely beautiful.



As an artist - I think actress alone does not even begin to cover her talents- she gave me hope and faith, and made me want to believe in my own dreams. Maybe I'll never succeed, maybe I'll never achieve my dreams of writing, but you know what : I'm gonna try, because Amber reminded me that you just have to try and go for it. So, I thank you for that, Amber.



As a lesbian, there are simply no words to express how much good this incredible woman has done, in my life and so many others. Tara is a landmark character, as others here have said. In many years, she will still be talked about as a revolution in the portraying of lesbians - and as one half of a revolutionary couple. And it was you, Amber, that gave us Tara. Amber is a wonderful, gorgeous and amazing woman. She was kind enough to hug me even though she didn't know me from Eve. She is an amazing actress, dancer and singer, and I hope she gets a top role on a much better show than the train wreck which 'Buffy' now resembles, preferably one with producers who actually have the guts to put her in the credits.

I have never met Amber, but I hope to one day, because I want to thank her in person for giving me so much joy. It's not only her portrayal of Tara but her attitude to life, she imbues everything she touches with such enthusiasm, such vitality, she is a wonderful person who is happy to be herself and happy for everyone else to be what they are too. She has always shown such good grace and class, even over the last couple of months which must have been such a horribly dissapointing time for her.



Her portayal of Tara was wonderful, from the stuttering incredibly shy girl, to the forceful and strong woman who came back and claimed her girl.



Amber is a truly wonderful actress, her sublety and timing are amazing, she can say a thousand words with one look, light a 1000 hearts with one smile.

In short, you've imparted to all of your fans a little piece of yourself in creating a character that feels joy, laughs, cries, and goes through the bad times....it made us feel like you understood in more ways than one. In a world where having class, style, down-to-earthlike qualities sometimes seems like a hinderance to celebrities, you've redefined those words. I can't say that Amber was the reason I started watching, as I have been a fan since the beginning. I still don't know if I can say that her absence will lead to me not watching again. What I can say is that Amber's portrayal of Tara has added a beauty...an innocence...a certain "magic", if you will, to a show whose very nature is shrouded in darkness. And, if this is indeed the end of this marvelous character, I will sorely miss her and the actress who has played her with such grace and dignity. She has captured my attention and my heart.

Amber is the reason I started wataching Buffy, I recognized her from "The Crush," and I thought she was an amazeing young actress in that movie so while flippin' channels and comming across that wonderful face, I said to myself, "That's the chick from the Crush, Cool." So Since then, I have been a Buffy fan. Amber is just so cool, She kicks. I've never actually gotten and oppertunity to meet her, But I am going to Toronto Trek so hopefully all will go well. Amber gave me strength, Strength to keep fighting and to hold on to life. Long story behind why I had to fight for life, And I won't bore you. But I will tell you that if it weren't for Amber, I wouldn't be here. I don't think I will watch Buffy if they ever say that Amber is definatly not comming back, I don't think I could handle it. Amber is the reason I started watching Buffy as well. She made her presence known in Hush. For someone who's pretty much outgoing, she's bloody amazing as a shy character. Plus I mean.....the way she treats her fans..she doesn't have to go out of her way and she does.

Anyways...she's going to be missed......Big Time!!!
