Ooooo poetry :P

Postby SciFiAcid » Wed Jun 27, 2001 5:58 pm

Restless

Into this room
I sit by your side
your flesh is my plaything
everything's mine.

Tender and wanting
that's how I feel
a kiss on your shoulder
and all is revealed.

Your look speaks of shyness
but not so your touch
an emptiness filed
by your simple touch.

Soft flaxen hair
draped down my spine
you knew my madness
and never cared why.

So in this room
dampened by time
together we two
tried to understand why.

For days upon hours
you became I
I knew forever
you held me so kind.

A name was not spoken
why should we try
I was your everything
you my divine.

And so we did slumber
the dawn saw no crime
love was our jailer
we were alive.

Dri, did you write this? I like it, especially the line "love was our jailer". The thought of being imprisoned inside something that is so liberating...it's a contradiction that works for me in so many ways. Love it.

Only, is it 'jailor'? Nope, that looks wrong too...dammit, need help...

Thanks Ruth. And Yes, I did write it. Last year sometime. Is it Jailor? Um, I'll have to look into that... bugger!

This was just wonderful, Dri. Very sensual. I like.

My Websters says that "jailer" and "jailor" mean the same thing, so hey... Whatever.

I have this thing for hair you know.

Seriously, a lovely poem.

See, that's why it looked wrong and right at the same time I suppose. Wonder if one's an English thing and the other is a US thing...

Well gosh, that was fantastic. I had to take a deep breath in the second verse, and didn't let it out until I'd read it all... amazing Adrienne
