Who are you like, Willow or Tara

Hey All,
Ok, I'm still a newbie here...so if I boo boo, please be gentle and let me know.

I'm sitting at work keeping myself entertained by reading the Kitten Board, and started to think and wonder...who I was more like (ok, lots of free-time tonight).

I can identify with the shyness of both, but I'm going to have to put myself in the Willow (the early years) category...shy, insecure, computer geek.

So now I pose the question to you - who are you more like - Willow or Tara???

I am a combination of both. Like Willow, I was a shy nerd in high school, and I have grown to be more confident with a little insecurity underneath. Like Tara, I am still shy but have quiet power. I am very strong when I have to be.

I find that I relate to Tara. I used to be quiet and stutter like she did early on, but now I have a lot of self-confidence like she does.

I am more like Willow. Around people I don't know I'm probably more like Tara, because I'm really shy, but when I'm around my friends I'm loud and enthusiastic and I like to be the center of attention. Not to say Willow is necessarily like that, just that Tara *really* isn't. I guess it's not so much that there are a lot of ways in which I am like Willow, just that I am nothing like Tara at all. I'm not calm, maternal, or many of the things Tara is. I adore her, of course, but I'm nothing like her, nor would I want to date someone like her, but she is someone I would love to be friends with.

I think I can definitely relate to both but I am more like Tara. I'm still a bit shy and insecure about things, especially when it comes to relationships. But once I'm in one I can open up and give all of myself to it.

Hmmmm... Fun Question

Although I identify with both, as most do, I think I have motivations more similar to Tara than to Willow. Also, my mannerisms and my body language (and my body, while we're at it, although it doesn't really matter that much) are similar to Tara's.

Also, I think Willow found self-esteem boosters (relationship with Buffy + Scoobs, possibly magic, although that's a huge self-worth issue all in itself) earlier in her life as opposed to Tara (and I), who found them in early adulthood. My relationship with my family is closer to Tara's than to Willow's (My parents did pay attention to what I was doing, they told me that it was bad. Yes, bad.) I, however, have not found my Willow. My eyes are peeled.

yes, I too am a combination of both Willow and Tara and just myself. I was (and still am to a certain extent) quiet and somewhat shy around people I don't know well, unless they're not my age, then I can talk up a storm about nothing. I was a bit of the geek/nerd in high school, but even though I may still be somewhat nerdy at heart, I guess I don't "seem" nerdy on the outside, whatever that means. Like Tara, I'm quite maternal and calm - my friends tell me I'm the calm steady personality influencing them. (One of my nutty philosopher friends once told me I was steady as a 2 X 4). heh.

Hmmmm. I always identify with Willow, but I'm guessing I have to claim a bit of Tara too. The shyness and being hesitant...
But the geeky Willow who can get rambly and goofy with words. That rings so true!

I would have to say Willow, I was a geek and an outcast in my childhood thanks to my school advancing me three grades in elementary school. Plus, I love computers, heck I even provide computer support for my friends and that was my job. Also, I'm the only person I know who reads history for fun and I have a bit of a temper when someone screws with someone I love, 'specially my wife. Plus, I'm not real big with the butch.

I'd say I'm more on the Willow side, too. I might have Tara qualities somewhere, but the Willow ones stick out. I'm kind of a nerd, and I can ramble for sure. Willow is also strong, caring (most of the time), and funny. I like to think I'm some of those things now and again.

Oh, and if anyone I love gets hurt... revenge it is!

I was like Willow in high school: shy, quiet, reserved. I had my group of friends and I had no idea that anyone else existed; I didn't even know the names of the "cool" kids. Now though I'm more like Tara, in an embarassing situation or when I start to feel really shy, I just stop talking and freeze up, but I never ramble. I also came into my own in college and I think I'm kinda maternal even if its rather hidden in my shyness.

I am more like Willow, I think, at least in some respects. Not bright like her, but a bit of a geek, and, well, I think we share an unusualness at heart ... I do babble as she does babble, that sort of thing. We share a similar liking for potato chips, too. And dress sense - definitely. Although I don't wear dresses. But babble. Did I say babble? Definitely that. Most assuredly so. Without doubt. Yes, siree.

I'm like Tara. I don't stutter, but for the rest...

I'm shy, I'm pretty mature (or so am I told) and responsible and I would do anything for my friends/lover. (Like Tara; she did what she had to do in leaving Willow) I have great appreciation for nature and life and I'm hoping to be a wiccan in the future, once I've read all about it. Besides that, my body is kinda shaped like Amer's/Tara's...

I think I'm a mix of both of them. I was some kinda nerd at school too like willow and i can be very shy sometimes and when i get nervous i just can't get rid of my stutter...well sounds like Tara...but it became better in the last couple of years...

Well, I'm practically all Willow at first blush - computer whiz, kinda shy and occasionally spaz-y.

However, I have some Tara traits as well, like respect for natural laws and a somewhat more mature approach to the big issues.

It's a nice blend.

I've been acused of being both by friends and my girlfriend. I'll do something and i get told ..."oh, that was so Tara" and then the very next thing i'm told "Your having a Willow moment" I am also just myself but i guess my love of the caracters just rubs off on me as i'm sure it does anyone else. This is a fun question. I am definitely Willow; big computer geek. My sisters made fun of me when I younger for playing computer games, but now I am a software engineer so I guess I got the last laugh. I also sometimes act hastily; allowing my emotions to take over. My partner is definitely more like Tara. She is very nurturing and thinks things through calmly. We are a good balance.

A lot of friends have told me I'm like Willow (geek, a little clumsy, very kind and supportive - hem... I can't really say if this is true - always babbling, and kinda having her strange sense of humor). I'd like to be like her.
But I don't believe I am.

At school people say that I look and act like Willow, (I'm also a total geek) and have done since the show started, which I thinks kinda cool. Lately though I've related a lot more to Tara, cos Will's really changed in the last year. I'm a really quiet person, and used to stutter, but if I'm around people that I'm comfortable with I'm fine, although I slip into the old mumbling and going bright red habit when under pressure or if felling awkward (most of the time then)

i think around my close friends i'm more like Willow. I'm definatly the joker of my group (which is kinda Xander-like) and i have the whole wacky use of vocabulary thing going on. Plus i'm into the whole computer thing even if i'm not very clever computers are my thing and one of my friends actually said i acted like Willow

but with people i don't know i'm so (early) Tara like, i'm really shy and i just blush alot and mumble before i have to go away
