On the subject of Cons

It's been a long time since I did a convention -- met the woman I married at the Forever Knight "Dead of Winter" con in 1995. Now both of us want to find a good Buffy-type con, but they seem awfully hard to find, especially on the East Coast. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.

The Toronto one sounds promising, but I'd like other suggestions from anyone who knows of any.

Also, does anyone know of good places to look for convention news with heavy Buffy/Angel visitation?

Don't know who my wife would want to see (probably David Boreanaz, since she's into tall, dark handsome types; she doesn't see what all this fuss is about Spike! Plus, local connection, his dad's a weatherman here in Philly).

*I* would definitely like to see what Amber Benson is like in real life. Of course, that could be dangerous, 'cause if she's amazingly cool in real life, it'll be just yet another reason to be an obsessed fan, and I'm writing fanfic and watching reruns on FX and posting on boards like this as it is...

And I would welcome the chance to worship the mighty Joss...though I think that if he's a god, he's a Hellgod meaner than Glory for what he puts his creations through!

BTW, here's a question to all you straight guys on the board: Is it just me, or is it easier for you to believe that Willow and Tara really love each other because *you* would fall for either one of them in a second?? :-)

You might want to check out DragonCon in Atlanta, GA...it's one of the largest and generally has a Buffy track. Amber was supposed to show last year but didn't...so maybe she'll come this year *hoping*
Dcon has been a blast when I've gone...something for everyone...and great activities/tracks across the board.

Details are at...(hope this link works, I haven't put one in here before)
