From IMDB.

Plain text (without the inner hyperlinks) for those who might not be able to access it:

_________________________
Married X-Men actress Rebecca Romijn-Stamos has enjoyed several lesbian relationships - to cure her sexual curiosity. The stunning 29-year-old star, wed to hunky actor John Stamos, made the admission when describing her steamy lesbian scenes in new movie Femme Fatale. She says, "In my twenties, I wondered whether I was interested women - so I did my homework!" And the Californian's research served her well for her new movie - which features "pretty graphic" sex scenes - as she got to pick her female partner herself. She explains, "It was supposed to be me and a model. "Rie, the new Gucci girl, is a really good friend of mine so I asked the director if he'd audition her, and she got the part."

I find Camryn Manheim to be really really sexy. She seems like an amazing woman from the few interviews I've seen with her.

Rebecca Romijn-Stamos ain't bad either ...

I read about that and my god! She is so gorgeous! It'd be awesome if it were true! and I wonder who the lucky women she experimented with were! I also found a bunch of pics of Portia Derossi and Francesca Gregorini. They are rumored to be engaged or even married. If anyone wants I can post the links here.

Good to know I'm not the only one getting reeeeeealy annoyed with such statements. Do a little experimenting and get safely back to the status of marital/straight bliss. I'm soooo not impressed!

And does anyone else think that this is all because only eight people in the world saw Rollerball, and she's having career jitters?

I thought most kittens would be happy that someone who will portray a lesbian on film isn't totally unfamiliar with the subject from her life experience.

As for her former partners, they shouldn't feel bad. After all, it says that she enjoyed the relationships. Morever, they got to make love to Rebecca Romijn-Stamos. That should be plus. She wasn't sure of her preference/orientation, so she tried. The fact that she later found her life partner to be a man does not diminish what she's had with them or with the previous men in her life.

Can't anticipate what a lesbian would be happy with. That's the thing about us lesbians, we have that whole lesbian mentality that makes us tick. Of course I was only speaking for myself.

I am not interested in what experimentation straight women claim to have had. Experimentation gives her no expertise about what it means to make love to a woman. See it's that part of of loving a woman that gives that something special. And straight women actors don't need experience to convince me they love a woman, take a look at Aly and Amber for that. She is saying that to get some credit that I for one am not willing to give her.

I'm not really annoyed by her comments
Considering the number of straight women out there in the world who still think dating women is somehow evil/repulsive/wrong/silly etc, having another celebrity being willing to say they've done it before themself (even if they ultimately went back and married the star from 'Full House'..ugh!) is better than not, in my humblest humble opinion.
I mean, Angelina Jolie did exactly the same thing as Rebecca, by marrying Billy Bob Thornton. But I've never heard anyone say they're offended by her. Maybe we're all too busy watching her in those shorts in Tomb Raider! But AJ has now become the poster girl for a lot of bisexual and lesbian women. And yet, you might say she's the world's most famous married lesbian!
So at the end of the day, I'd rather save my annoyance for someone like Anne Heche, or anyone else who travels back to the other side, but later flirts with the idea that there was actually something wrong with their days of dating women.
Just my opinion tho

Angelina Jolie never claimed to be a lesbian but a bisexual and there is a difference, so let's not call her the most famous married lesbian when she isn't.

Secondly, this is different, many many years ago now Jolie said she was bisexual, she is married to a man now.

What Rebecca said was totally different.

Thanks...

Hey, I experimented with heterosexuality! In fact, my gf and I have both had boyfriends in the past. Well, one each. We were young.

Anyway, I really think this just reinforces the fluidity of human sexuality. I know this has been debated to death. And everyone is different. For me, there was never any doubt that I was gay. (When I came out to my mother, she said, "Well, I wondered when you were going to tell me. I've known since you were 2." Yeah, Mom, you and me both.)

I don't know what was going on with the boyfriend thing, because I really cared about him, but it never negated my attraction to women or made me doubt/question that I prefer women. I can appreciate men aesthetically, emotionally, intellectually, sexually, whatever, but it's women who give me butterflies. Women have my heart.

I'm really not offended by this. I can't see that people exploring the full range of their sexuality is bad, even if they couch it in terms of "experimentation". In fact, almost everyone I know has had experiences with both sexes. I think it's great that we live in a society where people can be honest about that and not be ostracized.

Heya Righteous Babe, you're right she's bi (When I said "most famous married lesbian" I of course meant it from the point of view of the perception of many lesbian women who always namedrop Angelina as their dream date, and who even go so far as to forget she's married or consider the marriage only 'temporary'.

Anyway.
But about the quote, well note that the "I experimented with lesbianism" was not actually said by Rebecca. That was just the poorly worded headline by IMDB. Rebecca's only quote
in that article was "In my twenties, I wondered whether I was interested women - so I did my homework". And if that is really what she did, i.e. needed to find out if she preferred being with women instead of men, then it's exactly the same thing I did. But I stayed.

Hey now, I liked Rollerball!

As for Rebecca's little homework assignment, *pfft* whatever.
I mean, it sounds more like she’s pitching "authenticity" for her movie's PR department.

k Sarah...sorry..It's just that Angelina has been critized(spelling?) many times even though she is just bisexual and never claimed she was a lesbian. Also not from this site but from other people I have heard people angry cause she married a guy and other things.quote:

I was actually aware that it was old news and I think that I even posted on those old forums. And I also know that a bunch of pics have been out there for a while of Portia and Francesca, but I found new one's that I've never seen before and thought maybe some of you would want to see them. Here's some links to the newer one's for Vamp Willow. They seem to like to walk their dogs together. I hope the links work.
