Buffy Comic: Lost and Found

This is a Dark Horse one-shot, taking place about 2 weeks after the end of Season 5. And compared with the last story arc of Little Monsters, it's like night and f**king day, let me tell you. I won't mention any spoilers, but everyone is really well-drawn and in character, the plot is interesting, the emotional impact is great... it's simply a REALLY GOOD comic. Really nice role for Anya (with this, Tempted Champions, and Hell's Bells, it's really a nice Anya month). And Dawn saves the day. Woo hoo!

As for W/T, not a whole lot, but there's one or two cute moments. Plus there's an ad for Amber's W/T comic in the back (on sale 6/12/02).

If Little Monsters put you off the comic, get this to change your mind. Highly recommended.

This is definitely a better issue. I agree. I read somewhere that the guys who are currently doing the comic will be leaving soon? It's a shame cause I think they are finally drawing everyone well.

Xita thanks for the page shots. I'll have to pick this one up. I was pretty disappointed with the "Little Monsters". I'm hoping that the 2nd W/T comic will have more of Willow and Tara as a couple since it takes place after 5th season when Willow and Tara are living together with Dawn. Obviously, they can't get all horizontal with Dawn there but they can be more coupley.

Well, look who hired a good writer after all...
Fabian Nicieza (sp?) is one of the bigger names in the business (X-Men), they should hire more renowned writers so we won´t have to suffer through another "Little Monsters" (though I appear to be one of the few who loved the covers, at least).

Also worth mentioning, one of the newest BtVS books "Tempted Champions" by Yvonne Navarro is very Anya-centric with her debating over whether to go through life as a human or to take up the vengeance gig again.

Hrm. And I did like the fact that in this comic issue... we did get to see Willow tummy AND Tara tummy. Very nice.
