Title: A Stranger's Ramblings
Ch.2: More chit-chat
Disclamers: If I actually owned all of the rights Buffy the Vampire I would be rich, and I wouldn't have killed Tara, cause that's just wrong.
You can’t believe it. 'Why is she talking to me?' You can’t help but think as she runs a hand through her coppery red locks.
“So, are you going to keep talking?” You ask, actually curious as to where this is going.
“You’re going to let me? That’s surprising,” a disbelieving look resting on her face.
You shrug. “She sounds like she’s pretty,” you comment.
She sighs wistfully. “No.”
Okay, so, you’re taken back by that response.
“She is the most beautiful thing ever created.”
“Oh.” You nod, accepting her response, “So, you are going to continue, right?”
“Ok.” She takes accepting sigh, retreating into herself, as if to pull out the memories by the hand. After few moments, she turns towards you and opens her eyes. ‘Wow… green. No. Like pale emeralds. But they look so sad.’ You shake your head to dispel the thoughts you know are coming. Willow opened her mouth and continued.

‘We somehow managed to get both piles of books in their respective owners’ arms after a few minutes. And we began to walk. I just followed her, I’m not even sure why at that moment I was following her. I mean Heck, my class was in the opposite direction and starting in five minutes, but it seemed that my feet and heart knew just where they were going.
“So, W-willow? Do you, um, have any classes now?” She winced slightly, I’m guessed it was because she heard herself stutter, but I really didn’t care. To be quite frank, I thought it was kinda cute.’
_______________
You give her a questioning look. “Seriously?”
Willow shrugged and continued.
_______________
‘Well, I knew that I had class in four minutes, and I knew what I wanted to do, stay with her but I did have a class. Now, thinking back I ashamed to admit that I had to think about it. This mostly stemming from you know, the whole, Queen of the Nerds thing. On the one hand, classes, ya know important! But on the other…
“No, no class right now, it got cancelled for the day, I was just going to the, uh, library, Yeah! The library, where the books live, with the alphabetical order and the desks and tables, and card catalog. Plus books, woot.” 'God it was like I had some kind of disease!' “You should stop me if I do that.“ I chuckled lightly. She gave this throaty deep, but whimsical laugh. I thought if it was possible I would melt.
“Now, w-why would I do that? I l-like it,” she added looking hastily at the ground, her long silky strands falling over her face like curtains covering the windows to her soul-
“Your eyes,” I accidentally finished the thought aloud, a breathless murmur, but out loud, never the less.
“Huh? What about my eyes?” she looked at me, a slight blush coloring her cheeks, her eyes seemed slightly brighter. And from that fact that my face was burning, I could tell I was at least blushing too.
“They’re pretty, like the sky in the late afternoon, and I was just wondering why you were hiding them from me. Not that you were hiding, um, no definitely not. I mean I-I-” Tara stopped me with a light touch on my forearm. She smiled at me. A slightly crooked grin, that soon moved to a full blown smile. I sure my returning grin was akin to that of someone who had too much wine and saw something shiny. Because at least that’s how I felt. Like I was buzzed, that smile I just drank in and she made me kinda buzzy. It was odd, no one ever made me feel like that, and I knew that I would do whatever I had to, to make sure that I would be able to drink her in until I was drunk and staggering.
“Thank you. That’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever said to me,” her smile weakened slightly.
“Now that’s just crazy never? I guess I’ll just have to make up for all the time you haven’t been complimented.” My eyes widened at what I had just uttered. ‘Dear God! I’m the pushy Queen of Slut Town!’ I remember thinking. 'I have just blown it, she’s gunna bolt now, just braced yourself from the tailwind she’ll leave behind.’ I shut my eyes and waited. And waited. I peeked open one eye and saw another glacier melting smile on her full lips as she stood in front of me.
“I’d l-like that.”
If it wasn’t a cool breezy California afternoon, I would have swooned. “I like that you like that. Sooo, back to your previous question of if I have class, no, but why do you ask?”
“Well, I w-was thinking maybe w-we could go and get some coffee? If you want to.”
“I’d love to.”
So, after dropping off our class things at our respective rooms and meeting back where we met, we went to the Espresso Pump.’

“It sounds like things were going well, Willow. What happened?” You ask, surprised with a beginning like that, that something could bottom out.
“I’m getting there. Speaking of getting there, when is your train coming in?” She asked looking down at the luggage at your feet.
“A couple of hours. Why?”
“Well, it just looks like I just might be able to continue to the ’end’.” She sighed softly.
“That’s fine with me. I didn’t bring a book to read.” You explain, knowing full well that you had your copy of your favorite book.
“That works out well then.”
“Yup.”
