Feedback- PLEASE!!!

Summary- To begin: Willow and Tara are Seniors at Sunnydale U, but no slayers, vamps, hellmouth etc. Willow is a DJ for the University’s social events. Tara notices her from afar for a time before they meet.

Notes- This is my first shot at this. THANK YOU to my beta, she-who-shall-not-be-named.

Chapter One: Hey Ms. DJ…

“You owe me big time!” the tiny blonde grunted as she heaved the last speaker onto the DJ platform at the head of the room. She surveyed the plethora of equipment she and her best friend had assembled. “God Will, most DJ’s just need a couple turntables and a box of vinyl. What is all this crap?”

“This crap,” Willow retorted “Is only the greatest auto-DJ system ever programmed.”

“Auto-DJ?” Buffy rested her hand on her hip and shifted her slight weight onto one leg.

“Yes, auto-DJ. You know I tend to crack under pressure. If babbling interrupts my speech in stressful situations, imagine what might happen up here.” Willow didn’t even look at her helper. She continued checking connections.

Buffy smiled. “Yes, I could see how that might get ugly.” She looked the stacks over again. She had been to many mixers that Willow had DJ’d before, but never paid much attention to what her friend was doing up on her pedestal. She was usually a little pre-occupied with some dancing hottie and flitting about the dance floor, not to mention the few (by Buffy’s strange version of math) beers she enjoyed before hitting the floor. She had an “aha” moment and suddenly blurted, “So, the pimpin’ DJ Red is all show huh?”

“What is that supposed to mean? I mean the pimpin’ part. And, wait, oh, the show part too.” Willow stopped and paid more attention to the human in the room than the machines she had been obsessing over for almost an hour.

Buffy laughed, then tried to get serious. “I mean, pimpin’! The guys are all over you up here. Do any of them even know you are hardly working up here while you’re workin it?”

Willow groaned. It was true. Every guy who wasn’t intimidated by the girl in charge of the room stumbled up to the booth and hit on her mercilessly. Almost every week, usually with a lot of coaxing from Buffy, she did let one walk her back to her room. Occasionally, she even let them kiss her, but usually she was just in it for the help schlepping her equipment. She took offense to the hardly working comment though.

“This is hard work! Darn tootin! It’s just that I did most of the hard work before the show, that’s all. I spin everything myself you know. A-a-nd I spin almost thirty percent of it live now too. I just have all the layers saved into the hard drive instead of relying on persnikity old vinyl. That stuff can get pretty unruly, especially with the heat from the lights, and the dark from everywhere else and…”

Buffy held a hand up to halt the babble-fest taking place in front of her. “OK, ok, I know. I was just kidding. Geez Wills, if you DID actually try to spin up here the normal way, you’d never get your mouth working long enough to score an after-party acquaintance. It’s probably a good thing you’re of the good when it comes to computers.” Her face fell as Willow scowled. “You are an am-aaa-zing DJ Willow.” She took her friends hand, forcing the red-head’s eyes to face front once-again. “You have pretty much cornered the market on all the events on campus. Everyone else only gets work because you can only be in one place at a time.”

Willow smiled “I’m working on that, don’t worry.”

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Tara huffed as she reached to turn up the volume on her head phones. “Doesn’t she EVER study?” She growled internally as her roommate spun into their tiny dorm room. It was Saturday night, but Tara tried to study until at least dinner time. Piercing through the plastic ear coverings came a shrill “Oh my GAWWD, I am so wasted”. Recognizing her roommate’s evening mating call, Tara looked at her alarm clock. “8:30 already?” She thought “I guess I just can’t get enough of Art History tonight.” Tara resigned to the official end of the academic day and cleaned up her study materials.

“What will it take to get you to come dancing tonight?” Kara grabbed both of Tara’s hands as soon as she had risen from her desk. “You can’t study all the time!”

Despite her penchant for alcohol and tendency to lean towards bimbo-ness, Tara really did like her roommate. They got along mostly because they hardly kept company outside of their room. This was fine seeing as they shared few common interests. Dancing was among them.

“I don’t know Kara; midterms are almost here and…”

Kara interrupted her with an inebriated swish of her arm, “Midterms are TWO WEEKS AWAY Tara! You haven’t been out with me all semester. This campus is in severe Tara withdrawal.” Seeing that the usual means were not going to convince her, Kara flopped down onto one knee and crooned, “Oh please Tara, accompany me to the ball tonight. I am nothing on the dance floor without you. All of the handsome knights agree.”

Tara glared at the kneeling girl

“Sorry, and all the fair maidens too.” Kara smiled her most charming smile.

Tara was far from closeted, and thankfully her roommate was far from freaked out by it. Having two moms made her not just ok, but a true ally. She always remembered the immense relief she felt after Kara Wilson sheepishly introduced her to her mom and her mom’s partner on move-in day. She then almost crawled right into her actual closet when Ms. Wilson noted not very quietly to her daughter, “I don’t think you’ll have to worry about boy competition with her honey. Everything is going to be alright.”

When the moms finally left, Kara apologized. “Sorry about that, she isn’t known for her tact.” Kara was obviously just as embarrassed as her very shy new roommate. “I hope she didn’t offend you. She is very presumptuous.”

“N-no ii-t’s okkay.” Tara stuttered. “I’m not off-ffended, just a l-l-little shell-shocked, that’s all. Besides, she’s right.” The two new friends shared a knowing moment.

Since that fateful day two years ago, Kara and Tara had learned to live with each other quite well. The most annoying thing around now was every new passer-by who thought that they were the first ones to notice their rhyming names. Theirs was a relationship in patience. Tara overlooked Kara’s promiscuity and more-than-occasional drunken episode, and Kara overlooked Tara’s over-seriousness about academics. Truth be told, Tara didn’t really overlook Kara’s seeming alcoholism, Kara just didn’t know about the protection spell that kept her just on this side of death’s door on an almost weekly basis.

Kara was still perched on one knee, although her balance was threatening a strike. “Come on Tara, you already have A’s in every class. Your 4.0 won’t be in jeopardy from one night of dancing. And I’ve already drunk enough for the both of us!”

Tara laughed out loud, which was unusual for the shy girl. “Alright, alright,” She began as she helped Kara to her feet. “But I hope you left me one beer. Just a little something to help me get over mid-term blahs.” Kara was definitely the drinker of the room, but Tara saw no harm in one drink here and there. So long as it never interfered with her studies.

“One bottle of liquid courage coming up.” Kara squealed with delight.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Headphones pressed to her left ear, Willow closed her eyes and bounced with the loud bass echoing through the almost empty room. Buffy writhed for an invisible crowd in front of the DJ booth. While Buffy rarely helped with setup, this part of the night was tradition. Willow warmed up while her best friend did the same. As soon as the crowd started to grow, Buffy excused herself to get all gussied up and to get her drink on. This was, Buffy reasoned, so Willow wasn’t there to grimace a little more with every drink Buffy consumed.

Willow loved becoming DJ Red on the weekends. It was a side of her she didn’t know how to express in any other way. She thought of it kind of like her super-hero identity. Mild-mannered computer geek by day, wild woman by night. But truth be told, she didn’t see herself as much of a wild woman. She guessed her music style just led everyone in her audiences to assume as much.

The guys who picked her up learned the truth soon enough. Willow just couldn’t seem to let herself go with guys; literally and figuratively. She rarely accepted real dates, and never got too physical with any of the guys no matter how much equipment they carried. Not wanting to think too hard about it, she always told herself, and Buffy, that she was simply too concerned with her academic career to let anything get in the way. Somewhere deep in the recesses of her highly developed brain, she figured she just hadn’t found a guy she was attracted to yet.

A few early-birds started to line the dance floor, signaling Buffy’s time to fly. She waved to DJ Red, and made her exit. Willow got to work.

The room filled quickly with kids eager to get the night started. She took pride in creating a good mix for her audience, but saved the good, live stuff for her peers who arrived a little later into the night. “They never learn to pace themselves until at least sophomore year.” Willow mused as one drunken frosh after another either slumped into a chair for “just a little rest”, or padded their way to the bathrooms covering their mouths. Mild-mannered Willow hated drinking, always had. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Not only did Tara agree to accompany her roommate to the mixer, she also begrudgingly let Kara pick her outfit. The quieter roomie saw no harm in it really. Sunnydale U wasn’t exactly crawling with girls of the Sapphic persuasion. Not that Tara ever had the guts to try and pick one up anyhow.

Luckily, Kara didn’t go too crazy this time. The two roomies could share clothes when necessary, but Kara was smaller than Tara, making her clothes a little tighter than the taller girl was used to. Kara dressed her in a short black skirt, a gauzy white blouse and not-too-dangerously-high strappy shoes. Tara objected to the translucent quality of the top, but Kara shrugged it off by recommending a black bra to go with. Kara supervised Tara’s hair styling, but was too impaired to do it herself. Flowing blonde locks became a complicated heap of golden curls piled on top of Tara’s head, with just a curl here and there framing her smoky eyes. One last perusal from the fashion mentor, and the two headed for the door.

On their way out, Kara stumbled over the edge of their area rug, landing mostly upright, with one elbow crashing on her desk. The half-full bottle Tara had nursed during dress-up time spun over the edge, crashing and shattering between the two girls. Unfortunately, their legs became the final resting-place for the bottle’s contents. “Oh great, now I smell like a still.” Tara groaned. She turned to grab a towel and most likely a change of wardrobe.

Kara was quick to react, grabbing Tara by the arm forcefully. “Nonononono. No time, Who cares? Everyone else will probably be in the same boat. No one will notice. I promise.”

Tara rolled her eyes, but followed anyway.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Around midnight, Buffy returned with two hunky football players in tow. Willow raised an eyebrow as she instructed the men to wait for her below. “Not your usual type,” Willow grumbled. She looked away long enough to turn an assortment of knobs and adjust volume with no less than three sliding switches.

“I felt like a little workout tonight.” Buffy tried to keep her composure, but found balance becoming her foe. Her slight swaying caused Willow’s eyebrow to reach new heights of her forehead. Buffy understood. “Don’t worry, I’m already cut-off. And I don’t plan on leaving with them, well at least not both of them.” After no change in the glare she was receiving, she finished with s grin. “Kidding Will! I promise.”

Willow sighed in relief and returned to her boards. She was disturbed again by erratic slapping on her right shoulder. “Hey, Earth to DJ Red.” Buffy again, “What’s the matter, are the lights blinding you? That guy down there by the speaker thingy has been trying to catch your eye for like five whole minutes.

“Huh?” Willow tried to pretend she hadn’t noticed. She had in fact noticed, but was now trying to fool both of them. “I guess so.”

“He’s very smooch-worthy. You should invite him up. Unless you think a back stage glance will ruin the magic” Buffy giggled as she did her best wizard impression. “Pay no mind to the red head behind the curtain.”

Willow returned to glare-mode. “You know I hate that movie.”

“Whatever, he looks nice. At least say hi on your next break. By the way, now that I know about the auto-pilot, your breaks don’t seem as well-planned as I used to think.” She snarled as she lowered herself back down to jock-level and danced away.

Shaking her head, Willow glanced at her watch. “Two hours left. One last break before I go live.” She thought as she noticed her bladder for the first time all night. “When will I learn? No more than one mocha on show night.” She programmed ten minutes of stuff into the system, locked the boards, and headed towards the bathroom, careful not to attract her admirer’s attention.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

By the time they had reached the party, Tara had had about enough of the heels. She excused herself just inside the door while Kara giddily joined a group of her fellow drunks in the corner. Tara pushed her right arm out to open the swinging door to the ladies room, but was blocked by a swiftly-moving flash of red hair busting through.

“Oh, sorry,” Willow muttered as she checked for a free stall. No luck. She spun around to prop herself against the wall to claim the next free toilet. At the apex of the turn, she found herself staring into dreamy, deep pools of blue.

Willow forgot her bladder all over again. The only part of her body she was aware of at the moment was her chest, which seemed to have the entirety of her last breath caught somewhere inside.

Willow as a DJ? This is a new one. I will definitely continue reading this because I am anxious to know what happens.

Good job.

Tara: My heart doesn't stutter.

Tara: Willow, I got so lost.

Willow: I found you. I will always find you.

Heh... Willow's approach with automation is pretty much how I see most DJs :lol .

Tara having a roommate for years is kinda new. At least she'll be less loonely this way, though she'' probably wish for loneliness at times :) . Tara really does need someone to drag her into society sometimes, she's just to shy for her own good.

I hope Willow doesn't completely forget about her bladder, that would get emberassing : -->>: .

Chapter 2: False Impressions

The world stood still. Blue eyes locked on green. Neither woman could move. Neither woman could breathe.

Tara was deafened by the sound of her heart pounding in her chest. Sure, she was startled by the red-head’s blow-by at the door, but this was something else. Embarrassment or a start usually made her flush, bow her head, and ultimately run away. Right now, she couldn’t bow her head. Her eyes were held in the grip of the luminous green orbs before her. She didn’t want to run away. She did feel the blood rise to her cheeks, but it was carried by an emotion other than fear.

Willow stood frozen. Her feet were stuck mid-turn. Movement abandoned her mid-lean, holding herself awkwardly away from the porcelain. Her mouth refused to do anything useful beyond her first word, “Sorry”, and betrayed her by hanging open.

The blonde stumbled slightly, grabbing the sink next to her breaking the connection between herself and the red-head. At that exact moment, the stall Willow had been waiting for dumped its drunken contents right into her. She stumbled forward onto the same sink supporting Tara. Their hands landed on top of each other.

Time stopped again after the great flurry of movement. Hands locked together. Eyes locked on hands. Breath locked inside heaving chests. Silence.

Straightening, Willow regained feeling in her body and rolled her eyes at the stumbling woman who reeked of beer. Her bladder became the center of her world again and she ducked into the open stall.

Tara reached down and removed the shoes. Slowly she returned to her full and upright position. She wasn’t sure what had just happened. Her heart made a languid decrescendo into a forgettable rhythm and she was eventually capable of normal movement. She hooked the heel strap of both shoes over her left index finger and exited the ladies room.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

“Will, you are fucking awesome! You’ve got the crowd really worked up tonight.” Buffy danced her way back up to the booth where her best friend was heading into the last few minutes of her live set. Willow had been lost in a trance. for the past two hours. She hadn’t been thinking about anything, just cranking out one sound mix after another, not breaking for a moment.

“Wha? Huh?” It took a few moments for her to even realize she had company. She had been staring out into the crowd for some time now, her hands on the same auto-pilot frequency that the rest of her equipment was programmed.

Buffy looked at her friend, noticing the intensity if her gaze. She followed Willow’s stare out to the dance floor and a small clump of grinding bodies. There were three of them dancing; very drunk brunette, a blonde with her eyes closed, and a tall, lanky guy with black hair doing his best white-boy dance. He was flailing about so erratically that the hood of his green sweatshirt was slapping the blonde in the face. Buffy smiled and had to suppress a giggle. “Well, well, well, it looks as if someone has finally caught the discerning eye of DJ Red. Good for you, better yet, good for him!” Buffy wasn’t going to let this chance get away. Beginning a mad dash, she yelled over her shoulder. “I’ll take care of everything Will, don’t worry!”

She couldn’t hear Willow’s frantic reply as she disappeared into the crowd

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Tara was immediately smitten with the girl. It was the undeniable truth. However, the shy girl knew that she would never have the guts to introduce herself to the new object of her desire, let alone find out if she was gay or not, and certainly never enough to ask her out if the answer was affirmative. She damned herself for her lack of social forwardness as she joined Kara and her friends just outside the bathroom.

Kara noticed a change in her roomie’s mood. Since any change was a big change, she immediately inquired. “What happened in there? Get toilet paper on your shoe?”

Tara was embarrassed at Kara’s remark. That was one of her biggest fears actually. She struggled to respond. “Oh, n-nno, n-no. I j-just c-couldn’t stand these s-stupid heels any m-more.” She held the pair out to their original owner and slid her chin down to meet her chest.

Kara raised an eyebrow. Even in her inebriated state, she recognized Tara’s stutter. Something else was going on. Kara also recognized that Tara was not one to share, especially after already denying it once. She shrugged, making a mental note to try to squeeze more info from her roommate later. Kara took the shoes from Tara and flung them over her shoulder. After nearly knocking out a pair of lambada-ing freshman, they came to a peaceful rest under the refreshment table. “Ah, I never liked those much myself anyway,” Kara smirked. “Let’s dance.” She pulled Tara out to the center of the dance floor.

Once Tara got over the initial awkwardness of being in front of such a large crowd, She lost herself in the music. Tara loved to dance. She just usually did it in the privacy of her own dorm room. She closed her eyes and let the booming beat wash over her. Soon she was at the mercy of the music.

Kara cashed in on her friend’s love of the dance whenever she could. This was the one thing Tara had a hard time refusing when it came to social events. She loved her roommate dearly, but worried about. She knew finding romance was very difficult for every lesbian in a college setting, but Tara seemed especially labored. So labored, in fact, that it out of the realm of possibility for the remainder of their college career. Kara was determined to hook her roommate up with SOMEONE before this, their final semester ended. Right now she was just happy to see Tara out of their room and having a good time.

As Tara continued moving, the rhythm beating in her mind became accompanied by flashing images of red hair and green eyes. Knowing her thoughts were safely out of view of everyone else, she savored those images and continued dancing.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

“Wait Buffy, no, NO!” Willow had realized her friend’s words a fraction of a second too late. It wasn’t until that very moment that she realized she had been staring into space and daydreaming. Well, not staring into space, truth be told, but staring none the less. She was mesmerized by the blonde from the bathroom. The familiar heart pounding returned as she put it all together. “Oh God, did she know I was staring at that girl? Oh God, is that who she’s going to get? How did Buffy figure it out so quickly? I didn’t even know I was staring, let alone at her, and hey, why wasn’t she a little weirded out by my staring at a girl?” Willow stopped short. “Why aren’t I weirded out that I was staring at a girl?” +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Buffy karate-chopped her way through the heaving masses. Reaching her destination and seeing the flailing arm-obstacle in her way, she opted for the out-loud approach rather than a private whispering-in-the-ear. “You lucky, lucky, thing you.” Buffy shouted.

OH! I almost forgot! I know there were only three responses, but yeah three!

stillrunning: I hope you still find it interesting!

The Rose 24: I now know that there is another fic here featuring Tara as a DJ, but I really hadn't read that yet when I started this (or even until after chapter one was finished). It might seem like a stretch at first for Willow, but If you think of music as a mathematical concept, I think it suits her. Hope you enjoy reading more!

Grimlock72:Hey, I was a DJ! LOL, really, most of the clubs I go to now are very automated. Just popping in one CD after another. No one has an appreciation for the classics anymore! As for Tara having a roommate, I really wanted to create a character that could help bring Tara out of her shell a little more since obviously Willow isn't going to be that person...at least not yet. Happy reading!

This is an interesting story you've got here. Willow as a D.J.? I can see it, mostly because you've written her so well. Buffy's gonna go up to the guy and not Tara, right? I can just picture it now, or maybe Im just being obvious-girl. I really like this story, please continue with it and thank you for being brave enough to post it.

Great start! Live AUs without the hellmouth and slayer stuff. t's great you have combined Willow's tech streak with her being a DJ. I'd say bothe Willow and Tara are alike in their inability to get close to other people. I'm also guessing that Buffy will pick the wrong one (not Tara) for Willow. can't wait to see what will happen next.

Unfortunately, the end of the semester is taking its toll. My 4-25 page papers must take priority over fun writing for now. I am done with my classes on the 28th. Hopefully I will have a little time to finish up chapter three before then, but if not, expect the next installment right around that time.

Thanks for you interest so far!

Really nice start, I like DJ Red :D It's cute that no matter what role Willow takes, she's still quirky Willow - pre-programming her mixes for better efficiency :lmao I'm really curious to see how things will play out between her and Tara. Blind chance would have to have made Tara seem like she's drunk, wouldn't it, what with the beer-spilling and stumbling? :D I wonder if Buffy's intervention is going to help or hinder things? I'll be waiting patiently for the next chapter :bow

I'd also very much like to host this on Through the Looking-glass, if that's okay with you, please? :pray

Damn procrastination!!!! Hope you enjoy.

Adrileans: Thanks for the compliment! I definitely have an easier time writing Willow that Tara. You got me on the Buffy’s pick from the crowd thing. You didn’t expect it to be easy for our women did you?

Sam7777: You think Buffy's gonna screw it up huh? Well, I’ll try not to be so obvious in following chapters (lol). I like AU’s best too. I think Willow would make a great DJ. Even if she doesn’t choose to follow all the time, she knows what’s hip. She watches others a lot. As for getting close…don’t hold your breath. Gotta keep you all guessing!

Chris: Yippee!! Thanks for the cool banner for this story on your site! I really never even imagined this would take off beyond chapter one, being my first try and all, but I am glad there is some interest. I hope I can keep it! Quirky is so much fun to write!

Washi: Alright, alright, I shall ignore responsibility a little while longer to bring you more. Buffy is going to need ever-so-much-more than just a clue!

Irene: Thanks for reading! Hope this chapter continues your groove! As for Buffy, see above.

Chapter 3: One Thing Leads To Another

“You lucky, lucky, thing you.” Buffy shouted.

Tara froze. Kara crinkled her nose. Dancing boy stopped and stared.

Buffy continued, “See that gorgeous woman up there workin’ it?” Buffy pointed to the DJ booth. “That’s DJ Red, and she’s taken a liking to you.”

Frozen became panicked and Tara ducked her head. OH MY GOD, Tara’s mind screamed. That’s her! SHE’S DJ Red? She started to hyperventilate. DJ Red noticed me? She LIKES me? EEP!

Tara used all of her willpower to raise her ever-reddening face, but she didn’t know what to say. She returned her eyes to conversation-level just in time to see Buffy drag the guy in the green sweatshirt away by the arm.

**************************************************************************************

Willow felt all of the blood drain out of her torso leaving her cold with fear. “Uh, uh, uh,” was all her mind could accomplish. Willow saw Buffy point in her direction. Instinct took over. Willow dropped to her knees and tried her best to climb up into the tiny space between the Auto DJ and the floor. She squeezed her eyes shut, hoping she could squeeze out the whole room as well.

Willow knew she had to get up off the floor soon. The current mix in the system was due to expire momentarily. She just couldn’t get her legs to allow her to resurface.

“Uh, Willow?”

Willow slowly opened one eye to the sight of Buffy’s sensible yet stylish boots. And next to those feet were a pair of… “Sneakers?” She blurted. Who in the world?…

She poked her head out from under the electronic fortress to see who Buffy had retrieved from the crowd. Willow had never seen this guy in her life. Her legs decided at that moment to allow movement, but they still wanted to dictate what kind of movement. It was difficult for her to simply rise and not bolt away.

“Who is that?” Again with the blurting.

“Very smooth Wills.” Buffy tried to mutter to her suddenly stupefied best friend without being overheard by their guest. Putting on her best hostess face, Buffy addressed them both. “Willow, this is um, wait, what’s your name?”

“Jack.” The boy was alternating a wide smile and a look of cool detachment. He was obviously loving the attention.

Buffy nodded. “Willow, this is Jack. Jack, meet Willow.”

Willow raised her and gave an obviously disinterested little wave. “Hello.” Then turning to the perpetrator of this awkward situation. she said “Hey um, Buffy, can you give me a hand with that speaker over there? The one out of earshot.” She spun on her heels and bolted over behind the farthest sound tower, not waiting for an answer.

A moment later, Buffy rounded the corner. “Again with the smoothness Will. What is wrong with you?”

“Who is that guy?” Willow frantically pointed in Jack’s direction.

Buffy glared. “We’ve been over this. His name is Jack.” She slapped a hand on her hip and shifted her weight.

Rolling her eyes, Willow clarified. “I know his name, I mean what is he doing in my booth?”

Buffy looked horrified “Isn’t he the one you were staring at? Oh no, did I pick the wrong one? I’m so sorry Will, I can go trade him in if you want.”

“Uh, yeah.” Willow nodded emphatically. “I mean, NO! No. Um, I uh, YES! Yes, he’s the one. He’s the one alright. Of course he is. Who else would I have been staring at? Just look at him…” Willow turned a bit, throwing a hand up in a robotic gesture of recognition. Catching Jack’s eyes, she immediately turned back to Buffy, forehead-a-crinkled. “He’s a hunk alright. A big hunk of hunk in fact.”

“What is wrong with you tonight? Just go back there and finish up your set. You’ve got about two minutes to go. I’m sure Jack will be glad to help you get this stuff put away and walk you home.” Buffy waggled her eyebrows.

“Help is good. Walking is good. But, then what?”

Buffy’s mouth fell open. “If I have to tell you, then you shouldn’t be doing it.”

A silent second passed, then Willow’s brow crinkled. “Oh, gosh Buffy, are you suggesting I sleep with him? ‘Cause if you are, then I think you need to reconsider best friend status, missy. I’ve hardly even gotten comfortable with the smoochie factor, and well, eeww.”

“Eew? Willow, just go and talk to the boy before he runs away.” With that, Buffy disappeared back into the crowd.

********************************************************************************

Tara and Kara still stood stock-still on the dance floor.

Well, that answers that question. Tara felt her stomach drop.

“Uh, what the hell just happened?” Kara wore a disgruntled frown as she spoke to her roommate.

“I think you w-were j-just replaced.” She spoke to Kara while still watching the DJ booth. Tara’s face slowly returned to its normal color.

“Who the hell does she think she is? All up there on her little stage, sending her minions out to do her bidding.” Kara tried to pout. “I really liked him too. In fact I think I was falling in love with, um, what was his name again?”

Kara threw her head back and guffawed. Tara smiled widely and covered her face with her hand. Kara turned to her companion, sighing, “You ready to blow this joint?”

The shyer roomie nodded. Kara grabbed her hand, “We are just too cool for this school!” She smiled at Tara and led her out the door.

************************************************************************************

Willow returned to Jack’s side and her set-up. Her eyes were immediately drawn back to the spot the mystery woman had previously occupied. Empty. Willow felt her stomach fall. She was still staring when she felt a tap on her shoulder. Oh yeah, forgot he was here, She thought as she turned around.

“Uh, so you’re a DJ huh?” Jack bobbed his head as he spoke.

“Um, yeah.” Willow sighed. “Good looks AND brains. God Buffy, way to pick’em,” Willow mumbled. It was impossible to keep her thoughts silent. “This is going to be a loooong night.”

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Reaching their room, Kara blasted through the door and flopped onto her bed. Tara padded into the room and stood in front of her mirror starting the complicated process of remembering all the places her hair was concealing the full-card of bobbie pins. The two sat in silence for a few moments until Kara propped herself up onto her elbows. She watched Tara’s hunt. “Well, that was fun, even if I did lose the love of my life. And you! You were a dancing fiend out there. You were really into it tonight.”

Tara grinned , not taking her eyes off the mirror for fear of losing her place. “Yeah. The music was really good, wasn’t it.” Even though it had been fairly well-established in her mind that she wasn’t exactly DJ Red’s type, Tara couldn’t quell her curiosity about the red-head. She absolutely craved more information. She hoped Kara could provide at least some of it. “SO that DJ, have we been to her shows before?”

“You mean the man-stealer?” Kara growled, then smiled again. “I’ve been to a bunch this semester, but I don’t know if you’ve been with me. I’d never really noticed the person behind the music before though. She doesn’t really strike me as the DJ type.”

Removing the last pin and closing her dressing cabinet, Tara sat on her bed, relaxing fully for what felt like the first time all night. “No she doesn’t. She does have amazing green eyes though.” As soon as she said it, she regretted it.

“Really? I mean, how do you know? I could hardly see her whole head let alone her eyes.”

“Um, I bumped into her in the bathroom.” Tara’s mind instantly transported her back to that moment; the way their eyes locked, the heat from the red-head’s hand on top of hers, the way her heart pounded loudly in her chest. That feeling returned. Tara gasped for air as the thought receded and the present hazily returned. She shook herself into full-awareness of reality. “T-that w-was before she stole your soul-mate that is.”

“Yeah, she’s a bitch! Thanks so much for reminding me. And just when I thought I was finally able to move on with my life.” Kara grabbed the pillow behind her and flung it at her roommate. A spirited pillow fight ensued.

PJ’s on, teeth brushed, the two girls were tuckered out and tucked in. Just before turning out her bedside light, Tara questioned her friend, “Did you drink your Gatorade?”

Kara mocked(,) “Yes mother. No hangover for me tomorrow. Goodnight!” Kara rolled towards the wall and was asleep and snoring before Tara could respond.

She sighed as she turned out the light. Tara knew sleep would not visit her so easily tonight. Her mind was still reeling.

*********************************************************************************

When the lights came on, the dance floor became the student union again, and DJ Red became Willow. She made short work of the tear-down, no thanks to Jack. Having quickly noted that his usefulness didn’t even extend as far as his conversational skills, Willow had kindly asked him to just supervise and stay out of the way. Willow pushed the cart carrying the speakers and platform into the storage closet off the multi-use common room and locked it up tight. All she kept with her was her mixing board. It even had its own carrying case.

She was tired, very tired. All she wanted to do was take a nice hot shower and flop into bed. “All that stands between me and flannely-goodness is 575 steps and…” Her thoughts of dreamland were dashed.

“Uh, you want me to get that?” Jack rushed up next to her grabbing the case out of her hands.

Slapping his hand away, Willow frowned. “You can walk me home, but I’ve got this thanks.” They walked in silence. Willow’s mouth remained silent, but her mind babbled away. Was I really staring at a girl? Not A girl, THAT girl. She is the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. Blonde hair all swept up except for those two curls dancing around shiny pools of blue. Her hands were soft and warm, hot even, in fact all of her was pretty hot, wait! What the heck am I thinking? “She’s a girl!” She blurted.

The two stopped walking. Jack stared at her as if she had two heads. “Who’s a girl?”

Willow shook her head and continued walking. Wow, and just when I thought this situation couldn’t get anymore awkward!

Willow fumbled with her keys outside her dorm door. She finally got the door open and set the case inside, careful not to open the door all the way. She didn’t want Jack to think she was inviting him in. She turned to her escort. “Well, thanks for walking me home.” She said with finality.

Jack looked confused. “Aren’t you going to ask me in?”

Before Willow could answer, Buffy ran down the hall and into their room, doubled over, hand over her mouth. The noises that immediately came from the bathroom defined the situation for them both.

“I don’t think it’s a very good time. Looks like I get to play pony-tail holder for a while.” Willow breathed a sigh of relief.

“Yyyeeaahh, looks like you have your hands full here.” Jack stood still a moment too long for Willow’s liking. Just as he began to lean toward her, Willow shoved her hand out for a shake.

“It was very nice meeting you Jack. I gotta go.” She didn’t even wait for the handshake before disappearing into the room and slamming the door in his face. She made a b-line for the open bathroom. Remembering not to breath through her nose, she kneeled down next to her roommate and gently pulled her hair back.

Between wretches, Buffy managed a few words. “No lectures please. I know, Beer bad.”

“Buffy dear,” Willow smiled “I’ve never been so happy to see you this wasted.”

And, how cute is Willow? Very cute. You rock.

:spin It is just like Buffy to grab the wrong person. I wish W/T will hurry up and talk.

Tara: My heart doesn't stutter.

Tara: Willow, I got so lost.

Willow: I found you. I will always find you.

:fit2 Darn it Buffy, wrong one!

Poor Tara, under the mistaken belief that the object of her affection is straight, and a bitchy man-stealer, and not very discriminating either :aww Hopefully she'll discover otherwise soon.

Willow was very cute though. I got a big laugh out of her having Jack 'supervise' the packing up (code for 'stay out of the way') :lmao

Washi: Don’t worry, many people will soon be in the works to help her overcome her misconceptions. Luckily Tara has some great friends.

The Rose24: Talk soon? Now why would I do that? You might stop reading if it happened too soon!

Artemis: I wonder which is worse in Tara’s mind, straight, bitchy man stealer or poor taste?

Cperrins78: Buffy will be the source of much more confusion. I like her as a comic foil.

Sam7777: I think it will be a while before Willow would do anything like go to the lesbian alliance meetings, but I promise communication soon (just can’t promise it will be productive communication)

Thank you everyone for reading. Hope you like chapter 4!

Summary- To begin: Willow and Tara are students at Sunnydale U, but no slayers, vamps, hellmouth etc. Willow is a DJ for the University’s social events. Tara notices her from afar for a time before they meet.

Notes- This is my first shot at this. THANK YOU to my betas.

“” = dialogue, Italics = thoughts

The song mentioned is “Pretty Eyes” by The Cranberries

Tara tried her best to stay quiet as she readied herself for work. The restaurant dress code was a white top, black pants, and black shoes. She could easily piece it together in the dark. She had just finished brushing her hair when she heard a slight rustling from across the room. The shifting of the bedcovers was followed by a low groan. Tara hated this part of the “morning after”. Most of the time she was able to sneak out before Kara woke but sometimes, like today, she wasn’t so lucky. She sighed and tried to finish getting ready as quickly as possible.

“AAAAAHHHHHH,” Kara’s head slowly emerged from her bed-cocoon as she grumbled more. “Why do I do this to myself every weekend?”

“That’s a very good question, my dear.” As much as she hated her roommate’s drinking, Tara still felt sorry for her in the morning. She knew there was something more to Kara’s behavior than simple irresponsibility. Tara grabbed her cosmetics bag and stuffed it into her bag next to her journal and CD player. I’ll do my makeup when I get there. No need to add insult to injury here by turning on the light. “I’m about to leave for work. Can I get you anything before I go?”

“Maybe a lobotomy? Would that stop the pounding?” Kara was slowly making her way to a sitting position, but had yet to open her eyes. “Is it that late already?” Kara’s lazy expression started shifting to panic “I’m supposed to be at rehearsal!”

Tara smiled sweetly, she knew why her friend was confused. “No, go back to sleep Kara. It’s only 8:30. They’ve got me on the breakfast shift today.” She sighed slightly. “Tips will be smaller, but at least I’ll have the rest of the day to enjoy the sunshine. She slung her bag over her shoulder and approached Kara’s bed. She gingerly lifted the pained girl’s alarm clock off her nightstand. “What time do you need to get up?” She pressed the alarm set button and waited for a response.

“11.” Eyes still closed, she tried her best to smile. “You take such good care of me, will you marry me?” Kara snuggled back under her comforter.

“And get ready in the dark everyday? Not a chance.” Tara set the alarm and gently placed the clock back onto Kara’s table. When she saw the still-full Gatorade sitting right where she left it last night, she raised an eyebrow. “No wonder you feel so awful.” Tara picked up the plastic bottle, unscrewed the cap and held it out over Kara. Her voice became stern, well as stern as she could ever manage. “Sit up young lady. I’m not leaving until you drink half of this.”

Kara sat up again and finally opened her eyes. “Yes mother.” She grabbed the bottle, chugged half of the red liquid, letting some dribble down her chin. She placed the bottle back into Tara’s hand. “Happy?” She covered her head again with her blanket.

“First you want to be my wife, and now I’m your mother? Make up your mind grump-o.” Tara set the bottle back on the nightstand. She did, in fact, feel better now. She knew if Kara could manage to sit up and drink, she’d be fine in a few hours.

Silently, she slipped out the door.

************************************************************************************

“UUUGGGGHHHHH” Buffy moaned from under her comforter.

Willow opened one eye. She leaned up just enough to look at her alarm clock. 9 am, well at least we finally got some sleep. She rolled up onto her side, leaning on her elbow. “Good morning sunshine!” Willow knew how evil her shout was.

Buffy slowly rose and turned her red-eyed glare to her best friend. “You are a demon.” She flopped back down onto her pillow, immediately regretting the motion. “Don’t ever let me drink again.”

“Yeah, right, like you’ll listen. Besides, I don’t recall ‘letting’ you drink last night either. You waited for me to be all busy and slipped off to alchy-land. The fact that you know you have to slip away to get all wasted should be reminder enough of how much I disapprove, and the way you feel this morning should remind you how much your body disapproves, besides, you are a big girl now…”

Buffy cut her off with a raised hand. “Will, cool it, way too early for the babble.”

Peeling her covers down, Willow stretched and stood. “Sunshine warning!” She didn’t leave time for reaction before diving towards the window, and tugging on the shade sending it spinning into its roll. Warm California sunshine filled the room. “Up and at’em pokey. Time for mochas!” She received another groan in response. “You’ve got ten minutes to pry yourself out of bed while I take a shower.” With that, Willow disappeared into the bathroom.

*********************************************************************************

Tara reached into her bag as she lightly descended the stairs of her building. She retrieved her CD player, slid the headphones over her head and pressed play. Let’s see what she’s got for me this time. Tara thought and smiled. Kara loved making Tara mix CD’s. She opened the front doors and felt the rush of warmth as she stepped into the sun. At the same moment, the first track began to play.

Pretty eyes, pretty eyes

Not a cloud in my day

Not a cloud in my way

Angel eyes, no disguise

No pretension is here

No pretension, no fear

Immediately, Tara was transported back to the night before. She walked along on auto-pilot as she daydreamed about pretty green eyes, then red hair, creamy skin, and… “Hey watch it!” Tara was so caught up in her daydream that she had crossed against the light. Luckily, it was just a guy on a bike, and not a car. She stepped backward onto the curb and waited for the light to change, then continued along the sidewalk.

Forget it Tara, she’s straight. You have to stop falling for the straight girls. Wait, falling? You’ve never even spoken to her.

Stay awhile, stay awhile

I will tell you my mind

I will tell you my mind

She sighed audibly. Yup, falling.

************************************************************************************

Willow stuck her hand into the shower to test the temperature. It was soothingly warm. Willow closed her eyes and thought of the last time her hand was so warm. It was last night when she and the girl fell into each other at the sink. No, the girl’s hand was even warmer. Willow savored the sensation a moment more before withdrawing her hand and sliding the back of it over her cheek. I bet this is how her skin would feel against my face.

There was a knock on the door. “Will, gotta pee. You in the shower yet?”

Startled out of dream-land, Willow jumped, “Uh, hang on just a sec.” She stepped into the shower, exposing her body to the heat all at once. “OK, you can come in.”

Buffy schlumped down onto the toilet, eyes still barely open. A thought, perhaps the first of the day, perked her up slightly. “Hey, how were things with that guy?”

“Who? What?” Willow was still just standing under the warm streams when Buffy spoke. “Oh, Jack? Errm, uh,” It took her a moment to realize how quickly she could get out of this one. “Well, we may never know what could have been. Your nauseous entrance came at a critical moment.”

“Huh?” Buffy was trying not to think too hard yet. “Oh, OH! Oh my gosh Will I am sooo sorry. Did you get his number? You should call him today.” Buffy finished and flushed.

“AAAHHH!” The water scalded Willow briefly before she could jump out of the way. “Gee, thanks Buff. Get out of here and get dressed, I’ll be out in a minute.”

Willow emerged from the bathroom in a towel and made short work of dressing in a tight dark-blue tank top and baggy khakis. Buffy was set in sweats and a T-shirt with her hair pulled back, sunglasses already on. “Ready?” Willow asked as she grabbed her purse.

“Take me to caffeine.” Was all Buffy managed as they headed out the door.

***********************************************************************************

With the nice weather, all of the outdoor tables had filled up first. Tara never minded the extra effort it took to serve the outdoor patrons. She loved the sunshine so much, it was worth every step. She glided through the first hour of her shift humming her new favorite song all the while. Immediately after the busboy cleared and re-set the table farthest from the door, two young women filled the slots. Tara saw the sunglasses and messy ponytail on the slight blonde facing her and assumed she was in the same boat Kara was in this morning. Being so close to campus, the café often filled with students on the weekend. Tara made her way to the table to greet the new diners, looking down at her pad to remind herself once more of the morning specials. She reached the table and smiled “Good morning, can I get you something to drink?” As she looked up from her pad, she felt her stomach drop. She found herself staring at the top of a gorgeous head of red-hair. Oh my goddess!

“Mocha pl…” As she turned her head towards the waitress, Willow was struck dumb. OH GOD! It’s her, it’s really really her! What a coincidence, I mean I’ve never seen her before in my life and now twice in 24 hours. She’s even more beautiful in the sunight. HEY! Stop it, stop staring!

“Earth to Willow!” Buffy waved her hand in front of Willow’s face. No response. She shrugged. “I’ll have the same, and a glass of water.”

Tara ducked her head after a long silent minute when those deep green eyes met her own. She couldn’t take the eye contact. She nodded at the girls and rushed back into the restaurant. Once inside the door, she ducked behind the coat rack and threw her hands over her face. She noticed me staring, she thinks I’m a freak I just know it!”

“Hey Tara, what’s wrong?” Lynn called from behind the counter. “Got an order for me?” She was leaning on the espresso machine.

Tara sucked in a full breath, then let it out very slowly. Get yourself together Tara. Just do your job. “Yeah, L-lynn. T-two m-mochas, and a glass of w-water.” She approached the machine, tearing the order from her pad.

Lynn smirked. She knew Tara only stuttered when she was stressed or nervous, and since Tara was the best waitress in the place, nothing about the job could have caused this. “Cute girl out there?”

Tara ducked her head trying to make herself as unnoticeable as possible.

“I knew it!” Lynn leapt towards the front window. “Which one is she?”

Tara grabbed Lynn and pulled her back behind the counter. “Don’t stare, L-lynn. It’s n-no use, she’s straight.”

“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Which one?” Lynn was not going to give up easily.

Resigning, Tara whispered, “The red-head.” Tara sped over to the espresso machine. “G-gotta get their drinks. I g-guess I’ll d-do it.” She reached for the knob to begin the brewing process. Tara’s hands were shaking. Her fingers slipped off the dial, hitting the handle of the grounds receptacle and knocking it out of place. Grounds flew all over the counter and onto her white shirt.

“Oohh, she is cute. I think I’ve seen her before.” Lynn was still looking out the window when she heard the crash. She spun and ran to Tara’s rescue. “Wow, you’ve got it bad. Let me get it.” She looked at Tara and couldn’t help but laugh. “Oh Tara, what are we gonna do with you? I don’t suppose you are going to talk to her?”

Tara was frantically brushing the wet grounds off her shirt with a wet rag. “I t-told you. She’s straight. I saw her w-with a g-guy last n-night.”

Lynn was already brewing two new shots. “HELLO?! What ever happened to bisexuality? What am I, chopped liver?”

She stopped the cleanup. “W-well, statistically speaking, she’s probably straight. Anyway, I c-can’t even w-work around her. There is n-no way I can t-talk to her.”

She watched in silence as Lynn finished the mochas.

**************************************************************

“Willow, you look like you’ve seen a ghost, what’s the matter with you?” Buffy watched her friend’s eyes follow the waitress back into the restaurant. “You know her?”

It finally registered that Buffy was talking to her. “Oh! Uh, no, I mean, yes. I saw her last night at the mixer.” Think Willow, think. Get off the subject. “Uh, she was dancing with Jack.”

“Oh, that explains her staring too.” Buffy reached back to fix her loose ponytail. “You got her man you did. Don’t worry Will, I think you can take her.”

Willow’s head whipped around at the comment. “What? Take her where? Why would I want to take her somewhere?”

“God Will, I think you need to shut down the old noggin’ till we get some mocha in you.” Buffy was starting to seriously worry about the girl.

Hola;)

ME FIRST TO REPLY...YAY!!!!!!!:laugh

I looooovvvvveeeeee the "Cranberries" good choice in music. Sorry I didn't leave feedback last time, real life reared it's ugly face and I had to smack it into submission. That and I took care of what I needed to.

So anyhoo, great update. Poor Tara, now she has to go out to the patio and deliver said Mochas with her shirt full of wet coffee grounds. It's bad enough that she's so nervous around Willow...no Tara, you are not a spaz!:( :happycry

And Willow, if it walks like duck, talks like a duck, quacks like a duck...it must be THAT YOUR ATTRACTED TO TARA AND QUITE POSSIBLY YOU ARE NOT AS STRAIGHT AS YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE!!!!!!! But I can understand how difficult it is to even admit it to yourself...so I hope Willow is able to reflect on her feelings, forget societies expectations, and proclaim her attraction to Tara...

YEAH WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BISEXUALITY...I know touchy subject...but acceptance of people is acceptance of people. Isn't that what we all strive for? Go Lynn!!!!!

Updatey Goodness Soonish?!!!

Saluting you while grooving to the sounds of "The Right Mix",

Heh, Willow torturing hangover-Buffy :D Speaking of Buffy, this Willow-wants-Jack impression she's got has to be corrected soon, before she can cause any more social catastrophes.

One encouraging thing is that now Willow has an idea of where she might be able to find Tara - Tara, of course, could track down Willow by finding out where she'll be DJing and turning up early while she's setting up equipment and so on. If she wanted to find Willow, say for the purpose of sweet Willow/Tara loving :wtkiss It's good that Willow has that option too - that's twice the chance of Willow/Tara loving occurring. Sounds good to me :)

Thanks for the update :bow

Irene73: Oh poor Willow, she's going to have so much to deal with, and we know how her mind can overreact and ramble. I get the feeling Buffy might take it harder though. I think she had already been picking out Jack and Willow's wedding invitations.

cperrins78: hope this is enough goofiness and akwardness for ya. Much more to follow!

Artemis: As I said to Irene73, I think Buffy might have a hard time with this than Willow. Hopefully Willow will be there to help her friend through the tough stuff. LOL!

Thank you all so much for reading! I hope you keep tagging along!

Chapter 5a- We have to stop meeting like this.

Lynn finished off the whip cream and chocolate drizzle on the mochas. As she turned to place them on Tara’s tray, she couldn’t help but laugh. “Honey, you can’t go out there like that.” She took the tray from her co-worker’s hand. “You go clean up, I’ll deliver these.” She balanced the tray in one hand and pointed towards the ladies room with the other. Tara bowed her blushing face and silently walked away.

*************************************************************************************

Buffy had suddenly sprung to life. Willow stared, It’s like she’s solar powered, or something.

She sat listening to her best friend ramble about the events of the previous evening. Buffy was trying to piece together the narrative, and the boys. “So, Steven was really cute, but Tim was much nicer, and did you check out the muscles on him?”

Willow was trying hard to focus on her friend’s rambling. Her mind and her eyes kept wandering into the restaurant through the large front windows though. She saw the mystery girl disappear into the back. Oh no, where is she going? I’ve just got to see her again. I mean, wait, what do I mean? Her fears were confirmed when another waitress appeared with a try of mochas.

Buffy didn’t even stop for air with the arrival of their drinks. “And that’s when Steven started with the whole beer-can-crushing-on-forehead thing. I mean how uncivilized is that? Maybe his cuteness doesn’t overshadow his dooffiness…” Willow still could only grasp a few words at a time and turned the rest of her attention to the drink delivery. The new waitress was grinning strangely. She placed Buffy’s drink in front of her first, then set Willow’s down on the table. Above Buffy’s continued man-musings, the waitress caught Willow’s eye and whispered, “It’s on the house, care of your waitress, Tara.” She turned and entered the building.

Seeing Willow’s eyebrows crinkle, Buffy finally stopped speaking. “What did she say?”

“Oh, nothing, I mean, just that our drinks are free.”

“Bonus for us! Hey, wait, why?” Buffy looked around as if an explanation was to be found in their fellow-diners. Eventually giving up, she sipped eagerly, ignoring the temperature of the beverage.

After a few more minutes of sipping and chatting, Buffy stood. “You ready to go? I have sooo much work to do today. I’m just gonna hit the ladies room before we go.”

Willow had not been paying a bit of attention to her friend. All she could think about was the girl, no, her name is Tara. It’s a beautiful name. She hadn’t heard Buffy’s last statement, but saw her rise and followed suit.

“I think the bathroom is back there.” Buffy pointed towards the back of the place. “You coming with?”

AH, bathroom. “Yes, yes, bathroom is good.” She followed her friend into the restaurant. Immediately upon entering, Willow scanned the interior for Tara. I don’t know why I’m looking, I won’t know what to say to her even if I do see her. I mean, she’s a she, I, I,…

Willow stopped dead. I’m attracted to her.

The thought shocked her mostly because she knew it was absolutely true, and also because for the first time, her mind was clear, no babbling. The thought stuck as is, no more to be said. Shock subsided rapidly to a knowing calm. It wasn’t even a question anymore.

She was attracted to Tara. A girl.

Not just a girl, she thought as she stood, the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, and not a girl, a beautiful woman.

Slowly, and with a silly grin on her face, she started walking towards the bathroom again. Buffy was at the door of the single-occupant room waiting for the current occupant to vacate. After a few seconds, the door opened and Buffy squeezed in quickly around the girl. The girl stumbled out of the way and backed into Willow.

She turned. Blue eyes met green. Both women suddenly felt the temperature in the room rise.

I really like this fic. I don't think I would have ever thought of WIllow as a DJ but you write it so well that I beleive it. I love how she has all her music programed so that she doesn't spazz while on stage. That seems like such a Willow thing to do.

And yeah to Willow finally getting a clue to the fact that she is attracted to Tara. Can't wait to see how she reacts to Tara now that she has figured it out.

Update soon! And congrats on the 4.0
