Title: She Has A Girlrfriend Now
Rating: R
Pairing: W/T
Genre: Comedy
Chapters: ONE
That's right only one. This is just a short little piece that was inspired by the song of the same name by Reel Big Fish. I hope you love it! If you guys do, I might write more fics like this one.

Willow and Tara walked into the Bronze. It was a Friday night and they were ready for a night of fun. The Bronze was packed. Luckily they managed to get a table. There was going to be a surprise band and friend of theirs said that they had to go.

Willow went to the bar to get some drinks for them. She was already getting hot, even though she was in a short black skirt paired with a light and thin red low cut short-sleeved blouse and black strappy shoes. She turned back to the table after ordering their waters. Tara was wearing a blue pleasant top, a cream skirt and a pair of sandals. ‘She is breath-taking.’ ‘And that’s a change from every single moment?’ ‘No of course not.’ Willow’s thoughts were interrupted by the bartender.

        “Your drinks.”

“Um, Thanks.” Willow walked to the table and handed Tara her drink. They both took a few long sips, just sitting there and enjoying each other’s company. Tara was playing with Willow’s hand and by god did Willow love it.

        “Hey Tara?”

        “Yes Sweetie?”

“Would you like to dance with me?”

“I would love too.” Willow took both of Tara’s hands and lead them to the dance floor. They danced close to each other holding hands and swings them around to the music. Then a familiar voice come over the speakers after the song ended.

“Hi everyone. Put your hands together for tonight’s special guests, ‘Dingo’s Ate My Baby’.” Willow did a double take between Tara and the stage.

“No way.” They both looked to the stage, and sure enough, there was Oz, Devon, and the rest of the band. They set up and Oz went to the mike.

“Evening Folks. Our first song is dedicated to an ex-girlfriend of mine. I can even see her now.” Oz locked eyes with Willow. “This is a cover of a sang that I hold close to my heart.”

“I don’t think I want to hear this.” Willow squeezed Tara’s hand.

“I think we should give him a chance.” She kissed her cheek.

“I hope you all enjoy this.” The ska riff come out.

“She has a girlfriend now
She has a girlfriend now
She has a girlfriend now, she said
"guys don't do no more for me"

Willow looked at Tara. They laughed, hard. “Well, it’s true."

"You never loved me, like I wanted you to"
"I said loved you baby, what do you want me to do?"

She said she found someone who's gonna hold her hand
She said she found someone who's gonna understand
She don't need nobody to be her man
She don't need nobody to be her man”

Willow and Tara started to dance to the lively song.

“She has a girlfriend now
She has a girlfriend now
She has a girlfriend now, she said
"guys don't do no more for me"

She has a girlfriend now
She has a girlfriend now
She has a girlfriend now, she said
"guys don't do no more for me"

I’ve never thought it would end like this
Just because I’ve got no tits
I’ll shave my legs,
I’ll wear a bra
I’ll even cut my penis off for you...
she has a
girlfriend
now.”

The song ended as the Bronze interrupted into applause. Willow and Tara were clapping the hardest. They turned to each and kissed sweetly.

“And I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Willow took Tara’s hand and lead her out of the club.

MMMMM, Tara in a peasant top and both of them in skirts slit up to the waist for easier access, I hope.

So, about the song, Oz is a good sport and maybe it's cathartic for him to express his feelings about Willow in such a way.

:bigwave If you keep :letter them, I'll keep :read them.

I second that... That was really sweet!!! All I could think of was that this song was going to be bad or a payback kinda thing. But it wasn't. Sad that this was only a chapter, but full of goodness anyway. Thanks for sharing. Take Care. =)

Well, I guess y'all did. Do you know what that means?

More songs! That's right! But first some replies.

taralious: Thank you. But as for "easier excess" why do you think they left the Bronze after a few songs? :wink :wtkiss

angel of salvation: :laugh Woot! You like? Well, then I just might keep going.

TaraBaby77: You're welcome. But I am adding another song, and this one is even sweeter. (At least I hope it is :whistle )

Title: Teenage Dirtbag

Chapters: ONE

Rating: PG

Pairing: :willow and :tara Who else?

Setting: AU High School....

Tara is sitting on the bench as the rest of her gym class is running around the track. She fell earlier and is now ‘resting’ her foot. She dug into her bag and pulls out her MP3 player. A familiar song comes on as Tara spies the object of her affection, Willow Rosenberg. Tara hums along.

Her name is Noel

I have a dream about her

‘Well, that’s just freaky, I do have dreams about her,’ Tara thinks.

She rings my bell.

I got gym class in half an hour

And oh how she rocks

In Keds and tube socks.

‘She IS really hot in that uniform.’ Tara notes as she watches Willow run.

But she doesn't know who I am.

And she doesn't give a damn about me

‘Isn’t that the truth.’ The teacher signals the end of class. Tara presses pause on the player, and puts it in her bag. As she does this Willow looks at her, sighs, shakes her head and goes into the locker room.

In the locker room, while Tara changes, she listens to her player again.

Cuz I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby

Yeah I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby

Listen to Iron Maiden, baby...with me. Ooh.

It is lunch and Tara is sitting by herself, reading for her next class, her phones on.

Her boyfriend's a dick

‘That’s the truth.’ she looks for the table where Willow is sitting next to her boyfriend. ‘Oz something or another, what does she see in him? How I wish she was mine.’

He brings a gun to school

He'd simply kick

My ass if he knew the truth.

He lives on my block and he drives an I.R.O.C.

‘He probably would get pissed, if by some grace of God I got her. But I did hear they spilt.’

And he doesn't know who I am

And he doesn't give a damn about me

‘Neither one of them even know that I exist.’

Cuz I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby

Yeah, I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby.

Listen to Iron Maiden, baby...with me.

Ooh. Ooh yeah...dirtbag.

No she doesn't know what she's missin'.

The next morning Tara is sitting at a bench soaking up the California sun, waiting for classes to begin, listening to Wheatus once again.

Man I feel like mold

It's prom night and I am lonely lo and behold

‘Yeah and how I know I won’t have a prom date.’ Tara’s thoughts stop as

She's walkin' over to me

She sees Willow walk to her smiling radiantly.

This must be fake

My lip starts to shake

‘Is she coming over to talk to me? No she’s probably walking to that blade of grass behind me.’ But Willow doesn’t.

“Um, hi Tara,” she sits down next to her. Tara pulls off her phones, they hang around her neck.

How does she know who I am?

Why does she give a damn about me?

“Huh? H-hi? How do you know my name?” ‘Oh that’s a sexy line. Dope.’

“You’re in my gym class. I’m Willow.”

“I know.” ‘Did I just say that? Stupid, stupid!’ “Er, I mean I remember.” Willow’s smile widens. ‘Stalker much? Oh shut up!’

“So I was wondering, would you like to go to the Wheatus concert Friday with me? You have too, please. I know you’re a fan.”

I've got two tickets to Iron Maiden, baby.

Come with me Friday, don't say maybe.

“Why? I mean I would love to, I love them, heck that’s who I’m listening to now, but why me?”

“Because you’re gorgeous and nice, and something tells me we’re more alike than either of us know.”

I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby...like you. Ooh.

“What time should I expect you?”

“Six so we could get dinner first.”

“I can’t wait,” Tara replied as a smile engulfed her face. ‘YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!’ Willow left and Tara started doing a happy dance as she sat. She put her headphones back on, still stunned from what just happened.

Ooh yeah...dirtbag.

Tara looked back up to see Willow ran back to her.

“Did you forget something?” Tara asked, thinking Willow was going to take it back.

“Actually, I did.” Willow grinned as she gently kissed Tara on the lips. She pulled back and sweetly kissed her again. Willow waved and ran to class.

No she doesn't know what she's missin'

‘I guess she figured out what she was missing after all. Thank God!’ she smile got wider.

As a note though, some will be funny, some will be romantic, and the mini set might be angsty but I think you will love the ending of it...

stillrunning: You like my taste in Music? Squee!

Alright so my muse has decided to give me the story for the next update. I will be doing a nine part piece titled

"Oh Mann", it will be included with these shorts for one reason. They are all songfics! It will be a story about Willow and Tara, done through the songs of Aimee Mann.

You might know her from season 7's "Sleeper", she was the singer on the stage, who also happened to have the best line, and only, line for a musical guest, "Man, I hate playing vampire towns."

This story will be angsty, BUT it won't be too harsh.

The first part I will try to write today, but I can't guarantee anything.

Again thanks to all those who replied and who have been reading, I hope I won't disappoint. :pray

willohand: Thanks for the support. As for your last question, how about right now?

Alrighty, step up kittens, and hold on to your tails! Here is the first chapter of Oh Mann...

Title: Oh Mann…

Chapter 1/9: Voices Carry

Setting: AU, Willow is in an abusive relationship with a man named John. Tara, her best friend who happens to be in love with her, doesn't approve. Willow is coming to the end of her rope...

Song: "Voices Carry", the iTunes Originals Version, by Aimee Mann. (If you want to hear the song just email me at robynk86@hotmail.com and I will send it to you. This will also apply to all the songs in this story.)

Tara was sitting in the Espresso Pump waiting for her dearest friend, Willow, to show up. She was running late and Tara was getting worried. She looked down at the hot cup of coffee, watching the steam rise and swirl into nothingness in the cooler air around it, listening to some singer doing an acoustic version of some eighty’s song she couldn't remember the name of. Willow had begged her to come here, wanting to talk about something concerning her boyfriend John. ‘Oh, Tara, he’s so cute, and dreamy’… Tara imagined the words that would come out of Willow beautiful mouth. ‘Beautiful Mouth? Where did that come from?’ she shook her head. ‘I can’t believe she is even with that horrible man. Pfft! More like the worst scum to crawl the earth. Willow deserves so much better, she deserves me. Ha! That’s a laugh. Tara, you have got to get over this crush. She straight and your best friend. What you need to do is move on and find-’

“Tara!” Willow came up behind her startling her out of her own little world.

“Willow, hi!” Willow gave her a friendly hug.

“Hi. How are you?” she asked, a slight frown on her face.

“Alright. But you don’t look like you agree.”

“No, John is being an asshole again.”

“What did he do this time?”

In the dark, I like to read his mind

but I'm frightened of the things I might find

“Plenty, he wants me to change everything for him, to think like him. And yet, he won’t even spend time with me.”

Oh, there must be something he's thinking of

to tear him away

“And when he does? It is what he wants or nothing at all. And last night, when I told him I love him…”

when I tell him that I'm falling in love

why does he say

        “He just walked away.”

Hush hush keep it down now, voices carry

Hush hush keep it down now, voices carry

“I’m trying not to be hurt, but it was harsh. I try to talk and he just yells.”

I try so hard not to get upset

because I know all the trouble I'll get

“I cried and he got pissed.”

oh, he tells me tears are something to hide

and something to fear

“And he yelled for me to stop.”

and I try so hard to keep it inside

so no one can hear

“Willow, come here,” Willow got up from the seat across from her and walked to her. Tara wrapped her arms around her as she began to cry softly.

Hush hush keep it down, now voices carry

Hush hush keep it down, now voices carry

Hush hush keep it down, now voices carry

“Come on, why don’t we go to my house, alright?” Tara gently offered. Willow shook her head.

“I can’t. I’m going to be late. He hates it when I’m late. He‘ll hate it even more because I was here with you.” Willow took off, leaving Tara stunned. ‘What is going on? I wish she would just listen to me and leave that jerk!’

Back at her home, John is sitting in an armchair facing the door. His stone hard face is clenched and tight. A predatoreal glare meets Willow’s eyes as she walks in the door.

“What happened? Meeting run late?” he asked with malice dripping from every syllable. “You know that little friend of yours as gone too far,” he stood up, his six feet looming down at Willow, she backs away toward the wall behind her. “Why can’t you for once do something for me?!”

“Like What?” she bites back. He throws his hands up in frustration, and lounges at her pinning her to the wall. He then begins kiss her neck. Willow now knows exactly what.

Oh, he wants me

For only part of the time

Later that night he and Willow are at an opera he and his associates funded, she didn’t want to come, but as usual, he had to have his way. Sitting in the audience, Willow looks to him.

He wants me

If he can keep me in line

She thinks, bitterly. He turns to her and notices a wild lock of her fiery red hair, sticking out in the back of her bun. As he grabs it and looks at it, she turns and looks to him. She sees the disgust in his eyes.

Hush hush keep it down now voices carry

Hush hush keep it down now voices carry

Hush hush shut up now voices carry

        She speaks softly…

Hush hush keep it down now voices carry

Oh hush hush, darling, she might overhear

He puts his hand over her mouth and looks around frantically. Willow finally snaps. ‘I will not SHUT UP!’ She stands up and continues…

He said shut up - he said shut up

Oh God can't you fucking keep it down

Voices carry

Hush hush voices carry

I wish he would let me talk.

All of the members of the audience are staring, and she no longer cares. She grabs her purse and runs into the night, her evening gown dragging along the ground.

Re: Oh Mann... Ch. 2: 4th of July

Postby Missocki » Wed Apr 13, 2005 9:20 am

Title: Oh Mann...

Ch.2: 4th of July

Rating: PG-13, mostly for angst.

Summary: Willow has left John, but where will she go?

Song: "4th of July"- Aimee Mann.

Willow stopped by the road side and hailed a taxi. Praying to whatever deity would hear her, she hoped someone would stop before John found her. Her prayers were answered.

A bright yellow taxi pulled up along side her and she opened the door.

“Ma’am, I hope you don’t mind sharing. I’m sorry about that, but I figured you would rather share a cab than stand out there.”

“It’s quite alright. Thank you for stopping,” she smiled at the driver and gave him the address. She sat down in the back. The other occupant was a thin, blonde woman with a guitar on her lap.

“Do you mind if I play?”

        “No, it okay. Go ahead.”

“Thanks,” she placed her fingers on the strings and began strumming out a slow yet steady, melancholy tune.

‘That’s fitting.’ Willow thought was a sigh. ‘I wonder what it’s about.’

Today’s the fourth of July

Another June has gone by

Willow sank down into the seat, letting the song and this strange women’s words wash over her.

And when they light up our town I just think

What a waste of gunpowder and sky

‘A waste? Just like the last couple of months with John. I don’t even know what I was thinking. He was never right for me. Something was missing. But now…’ she sighed.

I’m certain that I am alone

In harboring thoughts of our home

‘Our home? Do I even have A home now?’ Willow sighed, her future uncertain.

It’s one of my faults that I can’t quell my past

I ought to have gotten it gone

‘Gone? I should. I am. No, I have,’ she said with absolute certainty.

Oh, baby, I wonder -

If when you are older -

Someday-

You’ll wake up

And say, ’my god, I should have told her -

What would it take?

But now here I am and the world’s gotten colder

And she’s got the river down which I sold her.’

‘Yeah, I’m gone for him. I’m not gunna go back. No matter how many ‘what would it take?’s. I don’t understand how I keep getting with these men who are wrong for me. Maybe I just don’t want a lasting relationship with these men, but why?’

So that’s today’s memory lane

With all the pathos and pain

‘Oh, yes. There was plenty of pain,’ she sighed as she recalled the ‘love’ she had with John, and even her past boyfriends.

Another chapter in a book where the chapters are endless

And they’re always the same

‘It was always the same. ‘Hi Willow. You’re a bitch. You never do anything for me. I’m sorry I love you. I’m an ass. Blah, blah, blah.’ Could he ever be there for me? Any of them?

A verse, then a verse, and refrain

        ‘No.’

Oh, baby, I wonder -

If when you are older -

Someday-

You’ll wake up

And say, ’my god, I should have told her -

What would it take?

But now here I am and the world’s gotten colder

And she’s got the river down which I sold her.

She’s got the river down with I sold her.’

‘River? Of tears maybe. But I will never cry for him, never again.’ The woman’s song ended almost as quickly as it began. Willow looked up and glanced out of her window. She was here. She turned to the woman. “You’re very good.”

“Thanks. I’m just glad you didn’t yell at me. That’s happened before.”

“Nah, I actually liked the song. It was strangely fitting to how I’m feeling.”

“Huh. Well, what ever happened, I hope everything works out for you, um…”

        “Willow, and you are?”

        “Aimee. Well, goodnight.”

“Goodbye,” Willow paid her fare and walked up to the door of the familiar home. Her trembling hand knocked. Willow heard some movement behind the door and brought her hand down to her side. She took a tissue out of her purse and dried the tears that had fallen earlier, removing the evidence that she had shed them. She then put it away. She smiled as the porch light was turned on. The one person she could always depend on was opening the door.

        “Willow?”

        “Hi Tara.”

Oh Mann...

Ch. 3: All Over Now

Song: "All Over Now" by Aimee Mann

Tara was in her living room, spending the evening like she usually did. She was listening to the radio, while reading. Her place in her copy of ‘The Awakening” was lost when her doorbell rang. ‘Who would be at my door this time of night? Crap. I’m in my pajama’s and my hair all icky!’ She got up and put on her favorite faded baby blue cotton bathrobe on, and quickly ran her fingers through her hair, trying to make it a little presentable. She then turned on the porch lights, just before opening the door. Her breath caught in her throat, but she still managed to ask, “Willow?”

“Hi Tara,” Tara looked at Willow. ‘Goddess, she’s beautiful.’ ‘Tara!’ ‘Well it’s true.’ ‘That’s not the point. Umm, are we going to say something?’ ‘Of course.’

“Willow, come in. Are you okay? What’s wrong?” Behind them, another song began on the radio.

        “It’s John.”

Though I let you steer

You a cavalier

“What about him?” Tara asked gently.

        “I left him,” she grinned.

Inch became a light-year

It was pathetic

“Really?” Tara asked, the hope of a ‘yes’ showing in her face.

“Yes. I’ve had it. I’m done with his controlling abusive behavior.”

Oh you can write the play

And every word I say

But I don’t have to stay

To see the credits

“Willow,” Tara sighed. She pulled Willow into a gentle hug.

’cause it’s all over now

Yes it’s all over now

And I’m free

“I just can’t believe how I would cover for him, making up excuses.”

I was one of few

Who’d stick up for you

“When it was apparent to everyone else that he wasn’t a good man.”

And so you never knew

You were a punch line

“I’ve tried so hard to make it work.”

I could not convince or trust you

To pick up on my hints, must you

“But he just had to have his say in everything I did.”

Leave your fingerprints

On everything I called mine

“But I’m finally free, it is over.”

Well that’s all over now

Yes it’s all over now

And I’m free

Yes I’m free

        “I’m free from his control.”

From your interference

Which had the appearance

“I don’t even think he really liked me. I think I was just there.”

Of making it clear that

It’s got nothing to do with me

“Well, I’m just glad it’s over between you and him. I never liked him.”

It’s got nothing to do with me

It’s got nothing to do with me

It’s got nothing to do with me

“I know, I should have listened.”

        “But you did.”

And I warn you now

The velocity I’m gathering

“I did?” Willow wasn’t sure what Tara meant.

        “Are you with him now?”

Smiling, Willow replied, “No, I’m not. I’m with you.”

Tara smiled. ‘I wish you really meant that,’ she thought sadly. “Come on, let’s get you something to wear to bed.”

Re: Oh Mann... Ch. 4: One

Postby Missocki » Sat Apr 16, 2005 11:25 pm

Ch 4 (of 9): One

Song: "One" preformed by Aimee Mann

It has been twenty eight days since Willow moved in to Tara’s home. It has been twenty eight days since Willow broke up with John. It has been twenty eight days since Tara realized that she is hopelessly in love with Willow. Not that she hadn’t always, but now it seemed fruitless. Sitting in her bedroom, Tara is thinking about the last twenty eight days. Things have been different between the two of them, but Tara had no idea why. ‘I have been acting the same as I always have, haven’t I?’ She put on her headphones and laid down on her bed, facing the ceiling.

One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

She sighed and turned her head to her nightstand. She saw a picture of her and Willow taken a few years ago.

Two can be as bad as one, it's the loneliest number since the number one

‘Sing it Miss Mann,’ Tara thought to herself, as she turned her head back to the whirling ceiling fan.

'No' is the saddest experience that you'll ever know

Yes, it's the saddest experience you'll ever know

‘You would know if you would just come clean.’ ‘Why? Willow wouldn’t want me.’ ‘How do you know?’ ‘I just do.’

Because one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

One is the loneliest number that you'll ever know

‘God, why is this so complicated?’ ‘Because you’re gay and she isn’t.’ ‘Why am I arguing with myself?’ ‘Because half of us are chicken.’ ‘You’re not helping!’ ‘No, I’m being honest.’ ‘Not listening to you anymore.’

It's just no good anymore since you went away

Tara looked back to the old photograph and sighed as she remember how close they used to be.

Now I spend my time just making rhymes of yesterday

‘I miss how things used to be. I mean, sure I loved her then, but at least it didn’t seem so sad then, so unrealistic. Now it’s just ackward.’

Because one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

One is the loneliest number that you'll ever know

‘But it’s my fault it’s so weird. I can’t just be her friend can I?’

One, is the loneliest number

One, is the loneliest number

‘I would rather be her friend than not have her in my life. Can I live with that?’

One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

One is the loneliest number, much much worse than two

        ‘No. But you will.’

One is a number divided by two

‘Even if it breaks my heart.’ Tara got up and walked to the room next to hers; pulling her headphones off before she left the room. She knocked on the door. Willow opened it.

“Hey Willow. I’m gunna make some dinner would you like something or maybe even help?”

Re: Oh Mann... Ch. 5: Save Me

Ch 5 (of 9): Save Me

Song: "Save Me" by Aimee Mann

Willow just got home from a particularly hard day of work. Tara was in her room, having gotten home an hour before. Willow sighed. It looked like she wouldn’t see her for a while. She climbed the stairs to her bedroom, and walked in. It was next to Tara’s, and she could hear Tara’s movement in the next room. She changed out of her work clothes and pulled out her laptop. She popped it open and turned it on. Then she opened i-tunes and pressed play, then minimized the program. She looked at her desktop background; it was a picture of herself and Tara, goofing around on a sunny day.

You look like… a perfect fit

For a girl in need… of a tourniquet

‘I can’t believe how much things have changed, how I’ve changed. And yet, she has still been then for me.’

But can you - save me

Come on and - save me

If you could - save me

From the ranks of the freaks

Who suspect they could never love anyone

‘She has been the best friend I got have asked for.’

‘Cause I can tell...

You know what it’s like

‘It’s odd, how she always knows what to say to help. Even though she’s never been in the same positions I have been.’

The long farewell

Of the hunger strike

‘But that’s why you love her.’ ‘I what?’ ‘Love her.’ ‘We’re gay?!’

But can you save me

Come on and save me,

If you could save me

From the ranks of the freaks

Who suspect they could never love anyone

‘Oh, my Goddess.’ She looked at the picture again.

You struck me dumb like radium

‘She is beautiful,’ she smiled, ‘Yeah, we’re gay.’ ‘Really?’

Like Peter Pan or Superman,

You will come to save me

‘I get it! I finally get it. Why I never love those men, I love her. But…’

C'mon and save me

If you could save me

From the ranks of the freaks

Who suspect they could never love anyone

'Cept the freaks

Who suspect they could never love anyone

But the freaks

Who suspect they could never love anyone

‘Would she just ran away? Would she love me? I know she loves me, but does she Love love me?’

C'mon and save me,

Why don't you save me?

‘But do I really love her? Am I even gay? Maybe I am just feeling this way just to feel. Can I really love her?’

If you could save me

From the ranks of the freaks

Who suspect they could never love anyone

‘Do I want her to love me? W-’ her thoughts halted when she heard a knock at her door. She got up and answered it. It was Tara, who, like herself, was her pajamas. Her hair was slightly messy, and her face was devoid of any makeup. Willow thought she had never seen anything so beautiful in her life.

“Hey Willow. I’m gunna make some dinner would you like something or maybe even help?”

‘I love you.’ “Yeah, sure.” Willow answered. ‘Oh, yeah, I’m in deep.’

Except the freaks

Who suspect they could never love anyone

Except the freaks who could never love anyone

‘I can love her, because I already do, but will she love me?’

Ch 6 (of 9): Satellite

Song: "Satellite" by Aimee Mann

Willow walked out of her room shutting the door behind her and followed Tara down the stairs and into the kitchen.

“So, Tare, whatcha thinkin’ of makin’?” Willow asked as Tara started to gather ingredients.

“Well, I was thinking of having breakfast for dinner.”

“Like Brinner?” Willow quipped with a silly grin. Tara laughed.

“Something like that. So, waffles or pancakes?”

        “Hmm…” Willow scratched her chin.

“If you don’t pick soon the eggs will go bad,” Tara egged Willow on.

        “It’s a hard choice!”

        “It is?”

“Yeah, waffles have the little squares for syrup, like pockets or holders. And you’re pancakes are the best food on earth, so it’s a tough call,” Willow paused, “Pancakes!”

“Stackable pancakes it is. Round or funny-shaped?” Tara asked as she reached up into her cabinet for the flour. As she did, she slightly leaned on the counter. Willow eyes traced the outlines of her figure.

“Round a- er, Funny shaped, I mean, Funny shaped sounds great!” ‘Suave Rosenberg!’

Let’s assume you were right

And play the game of charm and strange and satellite

Tara turned to her eyebrow quirked and smile in a half grin, “Alright, funny shaped.” She turned to the stove and turned it on. She began to mix the ingredients together, with Willow’s help.

And when we’ve all had our fun

“Oh, you’ve got some on your face,” Willow said to Tara.

“Where?” she tried to wipe any flour that might be there.

Deflate the stars

And put away the sun

“Here!” Willow threw some flour on Tara’s face.

And so we can call it a day

“Oh Yeah?” Tara grabbed some and threw it at Willow. “I can’t believe you did that!” Tara sighed as she wiped the flour from her face.

Cause I’ll never prove that my motives were pure

So let’s remove any question of cure

“I’m sorry, let me get it for you,” Willow grabbed and dry dishcloth and gently began to remove the off-white powder from her face.

Cause even though you’ve made it pretty obscure

Baby, it’s clear, from here--

Their eyes might for the briefest of moments, Willow started to lean towards her slightly. ‘Oh my God, what am I doing? She‘ll never want…’ Willow thought. She turned away, just as she got the last bit of flour.

You’re losing your atmosphere

From here, you’re losing it

“What was that for anyway?” Tara asked as she shook her hair to release some of the powder trapped in it.

So let’s assume it was true

Cause baby can’t lift up a hand to swear to you

“It seemed like a good idea at the time?” Willow answered. ‘Well, maybe I just wanted an accuse to touch you, but…’

And what’s the use of defense?

The hangers-on are too far gone for evidence

“Goof,” Tara grinned. ‘Yeah right. But why would she do that?’

And that one was lost from the first

“I’m sorry. I was just playing around.”

Cause I’ll never prove that my motives were pure

So let’s remove any question of cure

“Don’t worry about it. Hey, it looks like I got some on you too,” Tara grabbed the cloth from Willow’s hand, and proceeded to wipe the offending dust from Willow’s face.

Cause even though you’ve made it pretty obscure

Baby, it’s clear, from here--

As Tara continued to clean Willow, Willow smiled adoringly at her as their eyes met a second time. ‘She is so beautiful, I wish I could just,’ Tara thought then shook her head, ‘no, this is crazy.’

You’re losing your atmosphere

From here, you’re losing it

Tara set the cloth down. She then turned her back to Willow.

So have it your way

She ladled the mix into the pan. Willow sighed and moved next to her. ‘I should tell her.’ Willow thought.

Whatever makes the best resume

Whatever you can throw in

        “Hey, Tara?”

“Yes Willow?” Tara turned from the stove to face Willow.

Wash, rinse and spin till it’s

Spun away--okay

“Never mind. It’s nothing.” ‘Wuss!’ she berated herself.

But I won’t be sticking around

“Are you sure?” ‘she’s going to tell me she doesn’t want to live her anymore I can just tell.’

Cause I’ll never prove that my motives were pure

So let’s remove any question of cure

        “Yeah, well, um, no.”

Cause even though you’ve made it pretty obscure

“What is it?” ‘Just get it over with Will, if you’re going to break me do it fast.’

Baby, it’s clear, from here--

“I love-er, I mean, well you go with me to this convention I have to go to for work in a couple of weeks? I would love it if you came if me. It’s only in LA, but we should have so much fun. What do you say?” ‘That’s not what you were going to say, but, hey, time together is good.’

You’re losing your atmosphere

From here, you’re losing it

“I’d like that.” She smiled. ‘What just happened here? Did she try to kiss me earlier? Did I try to kiss her?’

‘Well, that was weird,’ Willow thought. ‘But she’s coming with me,’ her eyes widened, ‘what? No I- she coming to LA with me. I need help.’

        “So, the pancakes are done.”
