Summary: Takes place in season 3, Buffy hears of a new slayer coming to town, but instead of psychotic Faith, we get a familiar shy Blonde wiccan. Other than that pretty AU, haven’t decided on if I want to add my orig. charc. Briannus to this or not. Big bad may not be the mayor either.

Note: For this fic Tara is not a year older then Willow, and Willow does start out with Oz, but that won’t be for very long.

Chapter 1 A New Friend
It was a regular night in Sunnydale, all of the kids were gathering at the Bronze for a night away from studying, vampires were on the prowl, killing without people knowing what was really going on, and most of all regular people were happy to forget about all of the mysterious deaths in their town for the night.
The scoobies sat in the corner of the Bronze on the couches, all were having a good time, talking about how their days went and what they planned to do over the weekend. All except for one red head.
Willow Rosenberg was one confused girl ‘Am I gay’ she thought as she reflected back on her week so far. On Monday she helped Cordy with her homework, and for some reason was happy just to be near her and smell her, on Wednesday she caught herself staring at Buffy changing in the locker room, luckily no one else had. And now she couldn’t stop staring at her best friend again. ‘Oh my god! I think I am kinda gay!’
“Will, hey Will you okay there?” Buffy asked as she gave her best friend a playful shove.
“Yeah you were looking kinda sick there for a second,honey” Oz said as he sat down next to her.
“Oh yeah I’m fine, you know just a lot on my mind with that science test we have tomorrow,” she covered up quickly while going back to her mental babble ‘Oh man what am I gonna tell Oz? Oh sorry Oz, but I like women now, we had fun though right?’ She was looking for anything to take her mind off of this problem, but when she looked into the opposite corner she got a little more then she bargained for.
Standing there was as Willow thought ‘the most beautiful being on the earth’ she was a blonde haired angel, a little taller then her with some of the greatest curves she had ever seen, she tried to pry her eyes off of the goddess, but couldn’t.
“Man look at that loser standing in the corner over there” Cordelia said pointing over to the same goddess that Willow was staring at.
“Hey,” the hacker shouted at the the Brunette, “ How would you like it if people said that about you?”
“Sorry Will, geez, it’s like we even know who she is, but that guy over there sure is trying hard.” Cordelia laughed as she watched a man in outdated clothes start to talk to the blonde
Willow couldn’t help but feel jealousy towards that man she didn’t know ‘get away from her you sleaze ball’ she thought ‘that is MY angel’ her eyes blazed a hole through the man.
But then, the blonde started to walk out with the man, and she looked pretty pleased with herself. The man also looked happy as he lead her out the side door
“I don’t think that guy digs the sun too much,” Buffy said as she got up to follow the couple out the side door.
They weren’t in for the sight that weighted them when they walked out the door, the blonde girl had the man up against the wall, then he vamped out and looked like he was going to bite her, Buffy got ready to leap into action, but then the blonde caught the vamp in the face with a punch, sending him back, she then got him with two kicks and another punch.
“I think we know who the new slayer is guys,” Oz said as he watched the new blonde connect with blow after blow to the vampire.
Next, she reached into her coat and grabbed a stake, connected with another kick and caught the vamp straight in the heart with the stake.
“Wow, hey that was pretty good,” Buffy said as the other blonde walked up to the group.
“T-t-thanks, y-you must b-b-be B-b-buffy,” the new slayer managed to choke out. “I’m T-tara,” she said shaking Buffy’s hand.
“I gotta say that, that was a very cool show right there,” Xander piped in moving next to Buffy, “I’m Xander by the way, and this is my girlfriend Cordelia.” he said pointing to the bunette next to him.
“I-i-it’s nice t-t-to m-meet you,” Tara said as she lowered her head so her hair would hide her face.
“Oh and of course we have to introduce ourselves,” Oz said as he moved Willow and himself forward. “I’m Oz, and this is my girlfriend Willow,”
‘Willow’ Tara thought as she raised her head to look at the red head that had caught her eye since she had come over to meet her new slaying partner ‘she is so beautiful, but she doesn’t want you Maclay, she straight, nobody wants you anyway.’ Tara thought letting her insecurities get the best of her.
“H-hi Tara,” Willow said as she moved forward to take her hand, but as they connected a spark of energy was released between them, and they connected eyes, for what seemed like a century, but it was only a few seconds before Tara had to look away.
“So Tara, are you going to be around tomorrow?” Buffy asked as they started to walk away from the Bronze
“I h-h-h-have t-t-to g-go t-to the h-h-h-high s-school to register,” she said cursing her stutter as she looked down to the ground ‘god they must think I’m such a dork’he thought as they continued to walk.
“Oh how cool you’ll be going to school with us!” Willow said, exicited that she would get to spend more time with Tara.
“Mmm-hmm,” she said as she looked down at her watch “Wow, I d-d-didn’t see it w-w-w-was so late, I better get b-b-b-back to my room.”
“Where are you staying?” Xander asked as Tara halted her walking
“A-a-at the h-h-h-hotel on t-t-t-the e-edge of t-t-town.” she said stuttering as she caught a glimpse of Willow ‘was she staring at me?’ she thought as Willow looked away when Tara glanced at her ‘no way Maclay why would anyone stare at you’ she thought as her head fell again.
“Ok then, I guess we’ll see you tomorrow,” Buffy said as Tara turned to walk the other way. They all said there goodbyes and Tara managed to do so with out stuttering ‘maybe this won’t be so bad’ she thought as she walked back to the hotel
“I like her,” Xander stated as the approached Willow’s house, the point at which they would all get in their respective cars and leave.
“Me too,” Buffy said, “A little Different though I thought,”
“I think we all liked her,” Oz said as he opened the door to his van “Right Will,” he said as he hugged he goodnight
“Huh? Oh yeah,” she said unhappy that she was pulled out of her thoughts of the blonde angel “Defiantly like her, she is really nice,” she cut her self off before she could say anything more she might regret in this company.
“Okay all im gonna call it a night,” Buffy said as she headed down the street saying her good byes.
“Me too,” Willow said as she gave Oz a quick hug and ran into her house.
The rest of the gang filed out of the driveway of Willow’s house making there ways home, but Oz, felt something was wrong, why did this new girl have such an affect on his girlfriend?
Tara made it to her makeshift home with no trouble from vamps, which was fine with her, she was a slayer, but she didn’t like the whole violence thing, it wasn’t her, she only used her powers when it was necessary.
“Willow” she said to herself, she loved the name, and was very attracted to the girl that the name was attached to.
Slowly she went over to her bed and laid down, it didn’t take much to make her go to sleep, she was always tired after slaying, and with the thoughts of Willow it only calmed her more.
Within a few minutes of laying down Tara was out, in a dream state like none another where it was only her and Willow, it was prefect she thought.
Little did she know that across the town, Willow laid in her bed having the same dream, and as much as she was afraid of the thoughts that were now in her mind, she was content with this dream world.
The two girls woke up with big smiles on their faces the next morning and were ready to see one another again.
Ok all for now, I'm splitting my writting time with this, my other fic A Gift From Above and my movie, but the writters block is on in full force on that last one. So who knows when the next update will be
