This is just a short poem that's been along time coming since Tabula Rasa and Willow's downward spiral. And well I dunno. Just seems to me that this poem feels like Willow would feel. Like she was drowning in everything. But yay for hope in the end.
Drowning
I fall away,
I can't hold on,
The world just seems to slip away.
There's nothing left inside since you've been gone.
Wasted space, empty, cold, hopeless.
Embracing the darkness that fills me,
I long to see your eyes,
Shinning into mine.
But still I fall.
Drowning in sorrow,
The light is gone,
A sea of blackness is all I know.
My soul fades away,
And your touch I long to feel,
But still I only know the darkness that embraces me.
Cloudy, troubled thoughts,
Hopeless devotion to lies I made true.
Truth I made lies.
And still I fall.
Falling away,
Into the darkness I am claimed.
But faintest hope I still hold onto,
And grasping out for one last chance,
You're still there to catch me as I fall.
And held up by your strength,
The love that burns in your eyes,
I see that I am not alone,
And know that you will never let me fall.
And the world is not so dark anymore.
