"Gone"
Rating: A three year old could read it, lol.
Spoliers: There are spoliers for the events after the musical i think... not too sure since i haven't seen these eps but i'm just going off what my friend accidentily told me.
"Ugh, where's my shoe?" Willow muttered to herself, she got down on her hands an knees and peered under the bed. "I think there really is a clog eating monster under here."
"Nah, that was a Dawn-monster remember?" asked a voice from the doorway.
"Tara?" Willow asked, she looked up and the hope in her voice broke Tara's heart.
Tara nodded, "I'm only here to get my CD's then I'm going." Her voice was flat, she was trying not to show any of the conflicting emotions she felt on being back here.
"Going?" the hope in Willow's eyes faded, "Going where?"
Tara avoided looking at her ex-lover as she replied "Out of Sunnydale."
"What? NO! You c-can't!" Willow stammered brokenly, she sprung to her feet and rushed to Tara. She grabbed Tara's hands and and stared deep into her eyes, "Please. I love you." Up until now she always figured that they'd get back together again and as long as Tara was in Sunnydale she had a chance but now she was leaving? Her hope was gone.
"I love you too, I just... don't know if i can trust you." Tara's eyes showed how much it hurt her to say that.
Willow visibly deflated, "I'm sorry," she whispered.
"I know I am too," Tara replied, she cupped Willow's face in her hands and kissed her forehead then crossed the room to the dresser, picked up her stuff and left without another word.
Willow didn't do a thing to stop her, she just slid to the floor and sobbed. She'd blown it, she knew it was her fault for putting the spell on Tara but she'd never thought it would amount to this.
Tara was gone, she'd really gone.
**********
The sunlight streamed down on Tara as she hitched her backpack further up on to her back. She'd only taken a few essential items, she had left the rest of her stuff with Anya and Xander, she would ask them to forward it to her as soon as she had a place to stay. The only things she had with her were a couple of shirts and skirts, some herbs so she could whip up a protection spell if need be and her CD player. She'd only taken her walkman because she didn't want to be bored on the bus.
Speaking Off... Tara watched as her bus pulled up, she'd decided to go to LA. She had always wanted to and now she had her chance.
She climbed on board and handed over her ticket. She took a seat and rumanged around in her bag. Her walkman had a CD in it so she just pushed play and stuck the headphones in her ear. "Can't Take My Eyes Off You..." She hit stop immediately and pulled the headphones out of her ears, it was the song she and Willow had danced to that night on her birthday at the Bronze. She could remeber it as if it was yesterday and not nearly a year ago...
"You always make me feel special, how do you do that?"
"Magic"
Magic Again, Tara thought bitterly.
Everything was magic. Tara couldn't believe this had happened, Willow the person she trusted more than anyone in the world had put a spell on her. It went against everything she believed in and to make it worse she had one thought going around in her head: How did she know it was only once?
