I'm sorry for the delay kittens. I do thank you for all the feedback. I will try to get another update in on Saturday. And just a side note...the song I used was from the Freaky Friday soundtrack....I so didn't write it, and it doesn't belong to me.
Part 9“Hey Tare, where have you been all day long? I tried calling you and well Mel said that you were out. So where was this out and with whom was the outing with?” Chris asked as soon as Tara stepped into the backstage area.
“Chris, you know I love you, but has anyone ever told you how very nosy you are?” Tara said with a grin.
“Yes, you tell me that all the time. So, are you going to answer me or do I just have to assume that what my mind came up with was what happened?”
“Fine, I will tell you. I was on a picnic date with Willow, if you must know.”
“Oh, so I was right. So, any sparkage?”
“Sparkage with what?” Mel asked arriving behind the curtain.
“With Tara and Willow.”
“You want me to be honest?”
After receiving very enthusiastic nods from her best friends she took a deep breath and just said it.
“I think I’m in love with her. I mean, you know how you just get this feeling that the person you are with is the one you want to be with for the rest of your life? I don’t know what it is about Willow, but I just feel so complete when I’m around her and every time we touch, I feel sparks and magic. Ok, so now that I think about it…I only have one problem. What if she doesn’t feel the same?”
Mel looked at her best friend and tried very hard not to giggle at the babble, but then decided that Tara needed to hear answers or she might just drive her mind insane.
“Sweetie, I think there is only one way to find out. You remember that song that you hear on the film Freaky Friday? ‘The Ultimate’. You so said that if you met THE one, that you would sing it for them and you could tell how they felt for you by their reaction to the song. Even though it is Chris’ night to sing, you so need to sing at least that song. Then you will know how she feels. Just remember to change all of the ‘he’s’ to ‘she’s.”
Grinning Tara realized how right Mel was. Walking over to her best friend she hugged her and whispered “Thank you,” in her ear.
“So, gorgeous, just tell me what other song you want to sing besides that and you can have them at the end. I’m only singing four or five songs, then the mic is all yours.
“Oh, man, what is she hates the song? I don’t think I could handle that.”
“Tare,” Mel said grabbing Tara by the shoulders, “You will be fine. Just sing your heart out and you will know what is in her heart.”

Arriving at the Bronze, Buffy spotted Willow and went to grab a seat next to her.
“Hey Will, what is with the thinking face? You only use that when something is bothering you or you can’t figure something out, which never happens.”
“Buff, you are too adorable some days. I am trying to figure something out. Maybe if I tell you about it I can figure out what it all means. You ready?”
“Bring it on,” Buffy said getting comfortable.
“OK, so here is the thing. Tara and I had our first date today and it went all good and stuff like that. But there is something that has been making me wonder a lot. We were snuggling and talking and all that comfy stuff and it made me feel complete. Buff, to be honest, I think I’m in love with her.”
“It’s only been two days Will,” Buffy said with a worried expression on her face.
“I know that but I can’t help but feel that I want this woman in my life forever. But I don’t know how she feels. I don’t have any clue if she loves me like that or just as a friend who doesn’t mind snuggling with me. How in the world do I know?”
“You just have to look at how she acts around you. I mean, I’m no expert, but that is what I look at when I want to know how someone feels about me. Have a talk with her after the set tonight Will. You will both feel better. Now as much as I love you, hush cause my guy is going to sing.”
Willow rolled her eyes, “Same old Buffy, nothing but guy crazy, but thank you Buff.”
“Hey you know me. Just look at your girlie and drool.”

Tara looked down at Willow all through the set. She could help but think just exactly what the redhead felt for her. ‘She seemed to be very comfortable with me. But what in the world does that mean?’
Before Tara knew it Chris was done singing and introducing her to sing her songs. Reaching the microphone she decided to give a little introduction so everyone, including Willow, knew what she was singing about.
“I know that tonight was not my night to sing, but Chris decided to be really nice and let me sing a few songs. I hope you don’t mind,” Tara said smiling as she got a big cheer from the crowd.
“The first song I’m singing is one from the recent film, Freaky Friday. It’s the song that I decided I would sing to the one who stole my heart and she is here tonight. Just for your reference, I have changed all of the he’s to she’s just to match the person.”
Looking over at Chris, Tara received a smile. Taking a deep breath she started the beginning guitar licks, she looked out to find Willow looking at her. Deciding this was the time to see what the reaction was, she was going to sing right to her.
You're the kind of friend
Who always bends when I'm broken,
Like remember when...
You took my heart and put it back together again.
I've been wasting time with clueless girls but now it's over.
Let me tell you why...I'm through...I've got someone new who's just like you!
You're it, You're the Ultimate,
It's automatic I'm sure of it.
No lie, So don't even try
To tell me that you're not the girl.
Cuz I've been waiting all my life for someone just like you,
But you're it..You're the Ultimate you.
You're the kind of girl whos hand's in mine..
Sends shivers, up and down my spine.
You took my heart and put it back together again.
You're the kind of girl that blows my mind..
But now it's my turn, You've been right in front of me.
Everything I knew why didn't I see?
You're it, You're the Ultimate,
It's automatic I'm sure of it.
No lie, So don't even try
To tell me that you're not the girl.
Cuz I've been waiting all my life for someone just like you,
But you're it..You're the Ultimate you.
You're it, You're the Ultimate,
It's automatic I'm sure of it.
No lie, So don't even try
To tell me that you're not the girl.
You're it, You're the Ultimate,
It's automatic I'm sure of it.
No lie, So don't even try
To tell me that you're not girl
Cuz I've been waiting all my life for someone just like you,
But you're it..You're the Ultimate you.
You're it...you're the Ultimate YOU!
After the final chords, Tara looked straight into Willow’s eyes and saw all she needed to see.
“Since I got you all to realize how you feel about your honey’s I will let you dance to the music on the CD and I promise you that I will sing my second song tomorrow night. Good night.”
Seeing that Tara was all done with the set she looked at Buffy and said, “I’m going to talk to her. Don’t wait up.”
Tara saw Willow approach the stage she looked at Mel, “Don’t wait up.”
“Hey, you rocked, but we so need to talk.”
“Let’s get out of here,” Tara said grabbing Willow’s hand and leading her out of the Bronze.
Again I say, the song isn't mine and doesn't belong to me. It belongs to Disney and Lindsey Lohan who sang it. More arrive later....loves to all the kittens.
