Chapter One
“Hey Buff, you see the paper?” Xander tore a chunk from the doughnut. “Seems they finally caught Warren.”
The slayer sighed, “Thank god. He was way to much trouble. Pretty soon I was gonna have to break that no killing humans rule.”
“I wonder how much you’d get fined for that.”
“A not-so-happy life behind bars would be your prize.”
Xander grinned, “Then I guess it’s best you don’t break the rule.”
“Sadly.”
“Where is everyone? The house seems pretty quiet.”
“Willow’s at class and Dawn dragged Tara along with her to some Japanese movie.” She grabbed the empty doughnut box and shoved it into the trashcan.
“Animated or live action?”
“No idea.”

“That was pretty good.”
The teen’s eyes lit up. “So you really liked it?”
“Yes Dawnie,” she laughed, “You don’t need to keep asking.”
“I tried showing Buffy some anime but she couldn’t get into it. You’ve gotta get Willow to watch!”
“I will, don’t worry.”
“You and Willow would like yuri!”
Tara smiled, “What’s that?”
“Lesbian anime.”
“Let’s stick with this Miyazaki for now.” Though she’d have to admit that it did sound intriguing.

She smiled as she made her way to the Magic Box. Her eyes darted to the bag in her hands. Yes, she decided once again, today was a very good day. And when she got home it would be even better.

He could practically smell it. His prey was here. The air reeked of power. It called to him. He’d find her. Her blood would be exquisite.
She had eluded him so far and caused him a great deal of trouble. She needed to die and he wanted the honor of having slain her.
