1.2 "Bargaining on a Counterpane" Part 3 The Litmu

Postby Bagheera » Sun Jul 07, 2002 12:08 am

This is a day early, but holidays are looming, so I'm trying to squeeze a couple of updates in before I go - perhaps a Kitten would volunteer to save and post a couple of updates while I'm gone?????

Rating: R18. Willow and Tara have stripped away layers of emotion etc. in the last two parts of this story. Some Kittens may feel that events in this update are in violation of the fundamental principles of Different Coloured Pens. I respectfully suggest that any Kitten that feels that way, kindly re-read this instalment very carefully. There is uncertainty here; to elaborate would spoil future episodes in this arc. There will be a little more clarity after Episode 1.3.

“Stake me!” Tara repeated, closing her eyes.

Willow stood up and slowly circled the bed, stake in hand. The vampire lay on the mattress, her arms now outspread, making no attempt to defend herself. From the waist up, she was naked, her gorgeous rounded breasts that Willow remembered so well in full view. Her skirt rode up above her knees, exposing her shapely, stockinged thighs. Her body was familiar to Willow but at the same time unfamiliar, because as a vampire, Tara had lost the bloom of life from her skin. She’s like a marble statue come to life, the redhead thought, looking at the pale curves of Tara’s body. Am I Pygmalion; is this what my careless wish has brought into being? Am I responsible for this? Goddess, she’s so beautiful. I’ve missed her so much, I wanted her to come back so damned much. I want her. Stop this, Willow, this is madness! This is a vampire, an evil creature that will only bring you death. But, another part of her thought, if she was completely evil she would have hurt me already, she wouldn’t be lying here before me begging me to destroy her. I wouldn’t be wet from her tears. Real tears. There must be some shred of her left, a piece of Tara, a tiny piece of my lost love. This is madness, this is a dream, a nightmare, I don’t believe I wished for this. Oh, she is so gorgeous. I want her. I want her. Willow was so engrossed in the beautiful form lying before her that she was only dimly aware of her own breathing becoming deeper and more rapid, her hardening nipples and the growing ache and wetness between her legs.

Tara opened her eyes and looked at Willow. “Stake me?” she almost pleaded. Willow blinked, seeming to notice for the first time the crude wooden weapon gripped in her hand. She cast it from her like a vile thing. Tara watched it crash into the wall and clatter to the floor. Willow, her chest heaving, never took her eyes off Tara. The blonde turned her eyes back to Willow; saw the look on the redhead’s face.

“Take me?” Tara whimpered. With a low moan, Willow threw herself onto the bed, onto Tara, pressing herself fiercely against that sculpted pale body that she desired so much. Breast to breast Willow lay upon Tara and covered the blonde witch’s mouth with hot, breathless kisses, her tongue gliding deeply into Tara’s mouth, exploring its deepest moist recesses, finding and intertwining with the other’s tongue in an urgent embrace, even as her arms encircled Tara and sought to hold her ever closer and never again let her go.

For the briefest instant Tara hesitated as she stared with wide blue eyes into the passionate redhead’s hooded green orbs. Against her cool skin she felt Willow’s blazing cheeks, inflamed with unbridled lust. Then the blonde hesitated no more, Willow’s fire lighting a flame in her own body that only one thing could quench.

“Oh, Willow,” she groaned, returning the fervent embrace. Tara’s hands flew to Willow’s waist, tearing at the buttons of her jeans and pushing them down over the redhead’s hips. Willow abandoned her embraces just long enough to help Tara lower the garment and the panties underneath, then returned her hands to the more pressing task of delivering fevered hasty caresses to Tara’s face, arms and body. Responding in kind, the blonde seized Willow and rolled the redhead onto her back, grasping her jeans in her strong hands and pulling them all the way off in a single frenzied movement, doing the same to her panties, hurling the clothes across the room. For a second Tara kneeled above the redhead as Will lay panting on the bed before her, devouring her glorious nakedness, drinking her in with her vampire’s eyes. Then she tore off her own stockings and panties and, not even bothering to remove her skirt, threw herself back into Willow’s arms.

“Tara, oh Tara,” Willow sobbed between kisses, running her hands through that soft blonde hair that had been denied her for so long. Stop this madness, this is not real, a tiny voice inside her insisted. This is NOT Tara, this is a vampire! What do you think you are doing? But she holds me like Tara used to and, oh goddess, those hands! Hands in oh so familiar places, how long has it been since I’ve been touched like this? Oh, that’s so good, oh, just a little – ah, yes, YES, I’m going to…it IS Tara, she’s there somewhere, no-one else can do these things to me…oh, YES!

For her part, the vampire thought: Why didn’t she kill me? How can she bear to be here with me, doing these wonderful things to me? Willowhands belong to Tara and Tara alone, I’m not Tara, I’m something else and I am NOT entitled to this! Unless…can she sense…? But I’m a vampire, aren’t I? I wanted to bite her, to make her like me. But by the stars I remember those Willowhands and I remember the way they used to make me feel. She’s my Willow, isn’t she? She seems a little different somehow, but maybe that’s me, I’ve changed. Oh Willowhands, baby, I love you so much, touch me there, yes, keep doing that, OH! More! Then, as Will screamed Tara’s name, the blonde felt Willow’s walls shatter around her long fingers as a powerful orgasm surged through the redhead’s body. The gentle pressure of the redhead’s fingers together with the pleasure she sensed erupting in Willow’s body drove Tara headlong to her own climax. “Willow!” she screamed and in answer her lover screamed aloud again as they clung together, racked by the rapturous spasms coursing through their bodies.

At that moment Willow had the sudden and overwhelming sensation that she and Tara occupied a single body experiencing a single peak of ecstasy. As the last waves of it rolled through her, she moaned again and pressed her lips against her lover, and she was absolutely certain that Tara had felt it too. For that glorious instant she forget the numbness and emptiness of her life, her heartbreak, forgot that she had ever lost Tara, forgot that her lover was a vampire and gave herself body and soul to her pleasure, to Tara’s pleasure and the joy of reuniting that which should never have been cast asunder.

Wow! VampTara sensed a difference in Willow. Dark Magic residuals, maybe?

I love how even as a vampire, Tara's love for Willow is as strong as ever and vice versa. Now matter the obstacles, they are truly soul-mates.

I love this story, it's all angsty and sexy and did I mention, angsty? Keep up the great work!

Re: 1.2 "Bargaining on a Counterpane" Part 3 The L

Postby Bagheera » Sun Jul 07, 2002 4:41 am

DarkWiccan - You picked it, well done. I don't think I made this altogether a surprise. I mean, they are obviously still nuts about each other, and why not? Still a long and winding road ahead, of course.

4WiccanLuv - "VampTara sensed a difference in Willow. Dark Magic residuals, maybe?" There was lot of ambiguity in all of the internal dialogue in this update, not just Tara's. "All angsty and sexy" - that's very kind. I really appreciate it.

Xita - sighs relief I'm glad you're curious and not pissed off. From some of the intensely negative comments on the Kitten speculating about a vampTara in RealWorld S7, I was very nervous about posting this section. I have to say that the FAQ and the Kitten Board tenets have been very strong influences on how this section of the story is structured. The ambiguity about the identity of both Tara and Willow I hope has helped to placate some of the Kitten purists who see T/W stories as being about live Willow/live Tara to the exclusion of absolutely everything else. But at the same time in this fic the uncertainty is creating tension which is never a bad thing. If this section is okay, I can only say that it gets no "worse" from here. And I haven't got your messages - were they privates or e-mails? If the latter, I can only check my Inbox on weekdays.

PS: I so love your feedback, if only to have that lovely avatar decorating my story. Humbly request: less text, more slow-mo. And it's not just the tongue; jawlines and cheeks look beautiful from that angle.

Patricia - Thank you very much. Clues will pop up here and there. Xita has probably got it all figured out already. ;)

Triscuit7 - Thanks. I liked that sequence too. Information on Willow will start to appear in episode 1.3, unfortunately this will be after my return from holidays - about 2 weeks from today. Between now and then - 2 more parts to wrap up 1.2. Lots more bargaining to come!

Loco2 - Thanks. I'm glad you want to see what happens.

LeatherQueen - "Willow is different". I couldn't imagine her not being different after what happened to her at the end of S6. This is also specifically stated at several points in the scripts of the last three S6 episodes: "Willow doesn't live here anymore", that sort of thing. If anything, Tara's situation is easier to understand - she's Tara, but she's a vampire. Willow is - what, exactly?

Xita - thanks, to know I'm trusted means everything. I'll be at work in a few hours, so I'll check my Inbox then.

Yeah, definitely starting to see all sorts of complications with both Willow and Tara "being different" and sensing it in each other. I like how no matter how "different" they are, they still seem to be connected.

As currently mapped, this arc should not deliver certainty until Episode 1.9 or 1.10. Ah, man, episode 9 or 10? I'm so not patient enough for that. Not that I have a choice. Can't wait for more.

The lovers lay comfortably entwined on the bed, soothing each other with soft kisses, murmured endearments and gentle caresses. The redhead was totally naked, Tara nearly so, her sole remaining garment her skirt creased and bunched about her waist, a dark counterpart to the tousled blonde hair that crowned her head. After a few minutes, Willow’s heart beat and breathing began to return to normal.

“Tara, I love you,” she breathed.

“I love you, Willow,” Tara replied, smiling that familiar lopsided smile.

“I feel…different,” Willow mused. “Do you feel different? I’m not sure if this is real or some bizarre dream. I keep thinking I’ll wake up back at the Magic Box or - or in your dorm room. This is awful, I’m talking to you and I’m suggesting you’re not really here. Am I crazy?”

In answer, Tara kissed her. “Was that real?” she asked. Willow nodded. “And before?” The blonde witch wiggled her hips suggestively and winked. Willow smiled despite herself. “Do you think that was a fantasy or a dream?” Tara deepened her voice and, eyebrows arched, continued, “Are your dreams always this…intense?” To emphasise the point, she applied several teasing kisses to the most sensitive part of Willow’s throat.

Willow trembled, cast her eyes down and blushed. Biting her lips, she said, “Ahhh...A while back, I had this incredibly realistic nightmare...”

Tara frowned. “Was I around? Because I don’t remember…”

Willow took a deep breath, lowered her eyes again. “Well it was…when you – when you left me…”

“You can say ‘died’. Really, I’m okay about it.”

“No, I mean when you left me…because of the magic…”

“Oh. Okay.”

“I dreamed that I was alone in the house and that – that Faith broke out of prison and kidnapped me and tied me up.”

“Faith? Why on earth would you have a dream about Faith of all people? I thought you didn’t like her.”

“That’s true; she’s not on my Top Ten most favoured to hang with. I thought about it afterwards and I decided it was ‘cos I was feeling lonely and vulnerable and afraid, and, although when she actually – in real life, I mean - threatened me with a knife and everything, I stood up to her and tried not to show it, I’m still kind of terrified - of her.”

“So what happened?”

“Not a whole lot, thankfully. It wasn’t a long dream and I woke up part way through. But it felt so real! I could feel every fibre in the rope she tied me up with, her breath when she got in my face and shouted at me. But you know the really weird thing?” Tara shook her head. “Faith wasn’t even after me at all. She came to the house looking for Buffy, but when I was the only one there, she – um – she…settled. Oh!” Willow exclaimed as realisation hit her.

“What is it?”

“I know now what reminded me of the dream. The last time I had a vampire on my bed…”

“The last time? Hussy!” Tara exclaimed in mock outrage, playfully slapping the redhead on her shapely bottom.

“Hey! It’s not something a girl can generally make a habit of. The last – and only – time I had a vampire on my bed, oh wait, did Angel sit on my bed once?”

“Good grief, this gets worse and worse!” Tara teased, mercilessly.

“It was Spike!” Willow shouted. “He got into my dorm room looking for Buffy, and tried to make a snack of me! He – settled, just like - Faith in my nightmare.”

“Oh,” Tara softened. “And I brought all that back. I frightened you, didn’t I?” Willow nodded. “Oh, baby, come here, no more talk of ‘settling’, okay?” and the vampire hugged Willow tenderly, and kissed her.

“Can I – ask one thing about you being a – a vampire?” Willow said hesitantly after the kiss ended.

“Sure.”

“I look at you, and you look like Tara, and you sound like Tara, you make - make love to me like Tara, but you’re supposed to be this demon that’s living in Tara’s body and has taken her memories. I – I guess I’m just trying to say that there’s this question I have…”

“Am I Tara or not?”

“Yes! I begged you not to make me a vampire if there was some part of Tara still in you. You haven’t.”

“And I begged my dearest love Willow to stake me. She didn’t. Should I be asking you if you’re my Willow or not?” The vampire stared intensely at Willow. The redhead was the first to drop her gaze.

“That’s not fair,” Willow said. “You offered to make me a vampire; that was the demon talking, right?”

“Yes.” It was the vampire’s turn to feel uncomfortable.

“Now we’ve kissed and made up; is that Tara or the vampire?”

“Oh, Willow,” the vampire soothed, stroking the redhead’s hair. “I don’t know the answer. I have these memories, and emotions. I know how being here with you makes me feel. I know…stuff…I know magic. I remember my mother. I believe that if one day I somehow became mortal again, that I would still have the memory of being here and saying these things to you. But I honestly don’t know if this is Tara or a demon saying these things. I guess I’m trying to say I don’t really know who or what I am…”

“Demon? It’s so easy to forget, when I look at you…”

“I know,” Tara agreed. “Where do we go from here?”

“I don’t know. You said that…”

“I promised that I will do nothing to hurt you. I’ll keep that promise.”

“I know I’m not in a good position to say this, but I’m not comfortable with the idea of you…killing people. Any people. Apart from the fact that I live with a vampire Slayer, who is also likely to, um, go medieval on you if you do that sort of thing.”

“Okay, Will, if the idea of my killing people is hurtful to you, I won’t do it. Of course, being evil, I could always do it and not tell…”

“Lying is hurtful, my love.”

“Um. I’ll have to get blood from somewhere.”

“There’s Willy’s or the meatworks. I’ll bring some home at lunch time tomorrow. Maybe, just to be sure, we should get you your soul back…”

“The gypsy curse? Dear Willow, what would be the point? I would only have to hold your hand and look in those eyes,” Tara smiled at her red haired lover, “and I would lose my soul again. You’d be cursing me on the hour, which I imagine would become tedious after a while.”

From downstairs came the sound of the front door opening, followed by two voices, Dawn’s excitable chatter and Buffy’s more measured tones. Willow and Tara exchanged a brief, alarmed glance.

Steph - Thank you very much. I'll put the concluding portion of this episode up soon, 'cos I'm going on holidays. Still no volunteers to post for me while I'm away?? You're all happy to leave this story hanging for more than a week?? You don't have to write it or anything, just copy/paste.

Xita - Ha! Absolutely spot on. The gypsy curse would fail miserably on Tara. My partner has made a very clever related point - why is it that on "Angel", since having Connor, Angel hasn't lost his soul again? Or is Angel so shallow that he doesn't obtain pure happiness from his baby, only from f***ing a vacuous ex-cheerleader? Pfff...

Thanatopsis - XX Thank you .

Triscuit7 - Thanks, I'm pretty keen on vampTara too. Just wait until she puts her leather jacket on again. Grrr.....

MS 1.2 "Bargaining on a Counterpane" Part 5

Postby Bagheera » Thu Jul 11, 2002 3:45 am

Rating M15 Nudity, adult themes

“For the first time, I regret my partner having a best friend who’s the Slayer,” Tara muttered. Together the lovers listened as the sisters bustled about downstairs. It had been a successful shopping trip, apparently. Packages and bags rustled. Dawn burbled merrily. The Slayer laughed gaily at some remark made by her younger sister. The telephone answering machine beeped.

Willow looked at her lover. “Did you hear the phone?” she asked. The blonde shook her head.

“Concentrating on other things,” Tara whispered, giving her an affectionate squeeze and dabbing the redhead’s ear gently with her tongue, making her shudder.

Suddenly there were brisk footsteps on the stairs, and Buffy’s voice called, “Willow?” Tara sprang off the bed in an instant, snatched up her clothes which were strewn about the floor and dashed into the wardrobe. There was a gentle tap on the door. “Will? Are you there?”

“I’m in here, Buffy,” Willow replied, diving under the sheets. The door opened and the Slayer walked in.

“Willow? You okay?” Buffy appeared genuinely concerned. Willow peeped out from under the covers at her friend.

“I was - sleeping,” the redhead answered, and to the Slayer’s eye, Willow did look a little flushed and over-tired.

“Did you hear the phone earlier?” Buffy asked. Willow shook her head. “It was Anya. She’s having a wiggins because you forgot to lock the front door of the Magic Box.”

“Oh,” Willow sighed with relief, then quickly remembered that she ought to look pained and contrite. “Oh! I was – really tired and, I haven’t been at my best today. I’ll be extra nice to her tomorrow. Um - Anya’s been checking on me?”

Buffy smiled warmly and sat on the bed. “I know how hard this is for you, Will,” she said. “I feel proud of you being able to just get out of bed in the morning, after all you went through. Take as much time as you need. Do you want me to talk to Anya for you?”

“No, it’s okay, I’ll be better tomorrow.”

“That’s my Will,” Buffy hugged the redhead through the bedclothes and then left the room, closing the door behind her. When she had gone, Tara, now totally and magnificently naked, dashed out of the wardrobe and slipped into bed beside her beloved Willow. For a few minutes there were sighs and gentle kisses.

“I never expected to go back into the closet for you Willow,” Tara observed during a respite between kisses. Willow groaned. “Oh come on, wasn’t that funny?”

“Hmmmm…So why did you? Hide?” Willow wondered.

“I’m not sure,” Tara said. “Could be an instinctive Slayer-vamp thing. It just didn’t feel - right. And I notice you didn’t exactly give me away, either. We can’t go on like this, you know.”

“You’re right. You can’t hide in a vampire Slayer’s house forever.”

“Where do we go from here?” Tara repeated, humming the tune a little.

“Please don’t do that. The music brings back bitter memories.”

“Sorry,” the blonde whispered. “I’m under your spell…”

“You,” Will whispered, kissing her.

“I wonder if we shouldn’t just come out?” Tara suggested. “Buffy’s got a bit of a track record when it comes to vampires. Then there’s Xander and his ex-demon.”

“Not so ex-demon, actually. And I don’t think I need to remind you that Angel had a soul and Spike had a chip.”

“To make them ‘safe’? Are you saying you would put your faith in a gypsy curse and an electronic gizmo, but you won’t trust true love? Shame on you,” vampire Tara pouted.

“Not me! Oh Tara, honey, not me. Other people – might. Besides, Spike’s chip didn’t make him safe; he tried to rape Buffy.”

“Bastard. I assume he’s dust.”

“Sort of. He left town. Hasn’t been seen in months.”

“Goddess, vampires are just scum aren’t they?” Tara lay back and thought for a couple of minutes. “I’m going to miss going on picnics with you,” she said dreamily.

“We’ll go on moonlight picnics,” Willow suggested.

“You look hot in the moonlight,” Tara grinned lustily, licking her lips. “That red hair, your fair skin; those silvery beams, will bring love’s dreams, we’ll be…”

“I’ve just noticed something. Tara, your voice, it’s different. Your stammer… it’s gone”

“So it is,” Tara replied, noticing it too. “How about that? I can probably eat shrimp now, too.”

Willow suddenly lay still. Slowly, she raised her head and looked Tara in the eyes. “Oh, Tara, I have a really, really bad idea…”

“Tell me afterwards,” the blonde replied, gently wetting her upper lip with her tongue, making sure that Willow noticed. She spread her arms wide.

“Yes ma’am,” Willow growled.

End of Episode 1.2

Willow looks hopeful, then delighted as the words sink in. Tara meets her halfway and they kiss passionately.

Dear steph - DarkWiccan has 2 parts of Episode 1.3 "Willow's Really Bad Idea", which will be posted while I'm away.

nb. DarkWiccan if you read this I'm going to re-send them today 'cos I noticed a couple of typos and formatting errors. I also suspect there may be word wrap problems. I will check these too.

Interesting, again. Tara's need to hide, instinct to do so and Willow hiding too. Buffy's been with 2 vamps if anyone would understand, it's her. Though, you know no chip, no "soul..." bleh.

Oh yeah about Angel, I totally hear you, if holding your newborn baby in your arms doesn't bring you complete, perfect happiness, there's something wrong with you.
