Wow, you guys are the best. I really didn't think I would get much in the way of feedback considering how long I went between posts, but I'm glad you all still like it. This story came about as a way for me to pay to tribute to the relationship I was in, in an entirely made up and opposite coast kinda way.

I think the long pause was due to the fact that the relationship went kablooey on me, and it was depressing to write this, but now with much renewed hope in romance and love in general, I needed to finish it. I figured I'd just write it the way I wished it had turned out instead of how it did, because Willow and Tara need to be together forever just the way it was always supposed to be.

Tanya
btw... I'm not labeling the chapters as chapters, it's the day Willow and Tara are on in their relationship. So, no worries that it just went from six to ten.

Day Ten
Willow ran into the apartment and tossed some bags and Taylor’s back pack onto the sofa. Taylor ran into the apartment behind her mother and fell down onto the floor. After being picked up at daycare her mom had taken her to the mall, than to Target, and then to the grocery store. The little girl was exhausted.
“Baby, you need to get up and jump in the tub, the water is all ready,” Willow called from the bathroom. She was putting new soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, wash clothes, and towels onto their appropriate shelves.
“But I’m tired,” Taylor whined dragging herself into the bathroom.
“I know, but Mommy really needs you to take a bath because you got all sweaty and stinky at school, and we need to leave soon to pick up Tara at the airport,” Willow said pulling off Taylor’s shirt.
“Oooookay,” Taylor said exasperated.
“Thank you,” Willow smiled, “and try not to get your hair wet. I don’t want Tara knowing you just had a bath.”
“You aren’t makin’ any sense,” Taylor said floating her rubber ducky around the tub.
“I know, but just go with it,” Willow said rushing out of the bathroom to take care of the other purchases. She would have liked to have a shower herself, but there wasn’t time for that. She would just have to cover it up with body spray. She hurriedly put away the few groceries she had gotten. Willow couldn’t have Tara coming and seeing that she ran out of milk, cereal, and toilet paper.
“Finished,” Taylor said bounding into the kitchen naked.
“We’ve talked about this before,” Willow said trying to look stern despite how adorably proud her daughter looked. “You are not supposed to run around the house naked. You need to wrap up in you towel.”
“I forgot,” Taylor said shrugging her little shoulders.
“Of course,” Willow said rolling her eyes. “Let’s go, we need to get you dressed,” she said ushering Taylor down to her room.
“I need my new dress,” Taylor announced,” and my new undies.”
“Okay, you stay here and dry off, I’ll go get them,” Willow said running into the living room and back again. “Which pair?” She asked holding up the package.
“Cinderella, please,” Taylor said holding out her hands.
“Wrong way,” Willow said as she clipped the tags off Taylor’s dress.
“Oh yeah, the princess goes in the front,” Taylor proudly said.
“Arms up,” Willow commanded pulling the dress down over Taylor’s head. “Go get you brush, two blue elastics, and two purple clips.” Willow went into her own room to grab a pair of jeans to wear with the new shirt. Taylor ran into the room with the requested items.
“Here, Mommy,” she said handing everything to Willow.
“Thanks, baby,” Willow said quickly running the brush through Taylor’s long strawberry blonde hair and putting it in two braids, clipping back the shorter pieces on the side that were the last remnants of Taylor’s bangs. “All done, you can go watch cartoons until it’s time to go,” Willow said.
Willow followed Taylor to the living room grabbing the bags from the sofa and ran into her room. She quickly threw on her new under garments, jeans, and the shirt she just bought. She went to the bathroom to brush her hair, touch up her light make up, and spray on her vanilla body spray. She did a quick once over of the apartment making sure everything was in it’s place.
“Turn off the television it’s time to go,” Willow said grabbing her keys. “Do you need to go potty?”
“No,” Taylor said jumping out of the chair and turning the television off.
“Go try please,” Willow said trying to calm her heart. She couldn’t believe how nervous she was.
“Nothing,” Taylor said running out of the bathroom. She sat down on the small stool by the front door while Willow slipped her new sandals on her feet and fastened them. “I can’t wait to see the airplanes,” Taylor said bouncing out to the car with her mother.
“I can’t wait to see Tara,” Willow commented buckling her daughter into her car seat.
Tara sat on the plane checking her watch every five minutes, wishing she had brought something to do on the flight. Instead she was filling the time by checking her watch and worrying about anything and everything that could possibly go wrong. Now that Tara was entering the final minutes of the flight her mind had chosen to focus on her outfit, which she had taken a considerable amount of time to choose. Jeans weren’t something she wore often, but she wanted to appear calm and casual like it was just another day, she felt pretty confident that jeans said that. The shirt was a different story all together. Marie had insisted it looked good, better than good even, but Tara just wasn’t sure. She didn’t usually wear this color of light blue, and she definitely didn’t wear shirts with such a plunging neckline. The way her new bra fit made her cleavage practically pop out the top of her shirt. She looked to check her watch again and saw the man next to her staring at her chest. This was no good, she didn’t want strange men staring at her breasts. She crossed her arms over herself and tried to relax. She wasn’t prepared for the fasten seat belts sign to flash, or for the captain to announce that they were ahead of schedule and would be landing. She was happy to be there, happy to be seeing Willow, but she wasn’t calm enough yet. She was expecting ten more minutes. ‘Just breathe,’ Tara reminded herself.
Willow parked the car as close to the terminal as possible and jumped out to unbuckle Taylor. She brushed the crumbs off the front of Taylor’s dress. She had given her some goldfish on the ride there to tide the little girl over until dinner. She grabbed Taylor’s hand and started walking to the terminal, but Taylor pulled her hand away.
“Hold my hand, please,” Willow said as calmly as possible looking at her daughter.
“I don’t want to,” Taylor protested.
“You know when we’re in a busy place, and especially in parking lots, that you need to hold my hand,” Willow said, “ and right now we don’t have time to discuss this anymore because we need to go inside and meet Tara, so you either hold my hand or I’ll carry you.”
“Fine,” Taylor said taking her Mom’s hand. She knew hew Mommy must be really nervous if she was being that strict. “Ummm... Mommy?” Taylor said when they had gotten inside.
“What baby?” Willow asked looking around for the arrivals and departures board.
“I need to go potty.”
“Taylor,” Willow said slightly exasperated. “Okay, let’s go,” she said locating the nearest women’s room. It wasn’t Taylor’s fault she was feeling so nervous, so she really didn’t need to be upset with her. Willow leaned on the stall door waiting her daughter, resolved to be more patient with her.
“All done, Mommy,” Taylor announced proudly. “I had a poop that needed to come out.”
“Did it?” Willow asked with a slight blush as some other restroom patrons looked at them.
“Yep,” Taylor said washing her hands.
“Are you ready to go find Tara now and see the airplanes?”
“Yes,” Taylor said jumping up and down taking her Mom’s hand. “What’s that bright sign for?” Taylor asked pointing to the arrivals board.
“That’s going to tell us which gate Tara’s plane is going to let her off at so we can meet her,” Willow explained searching the board for Tara’s flight number.
“Where do we go?” Taylor asked searching the board like her mother.
“Well... okay, there it is. We need to go to gate five,” Willow said happily, “and it says it just arrived. We better hurry.”
“Number five,” Taylor said reading the gate sign. “I don’t see her.”
“Look right out there,” Willow said picking Taylor up so she could see out the window. “See that plane, that’s Tara’s plane. The people are going to start getting off the plane soon, that’s what the stairs are for, and they’ll walk through that tunnel looking thing and then they’ll be here.”
“Look, Mommy, people,” Taylor said excitedly pointing toward the plane. “Which people is Tara?”
“I don’t see her yet,” Willow said watching the line of people exiting the plane. “There she is, with the blond hair and the blue shirt.”
“With the purple bag?” Taylor asked.
“Yeah, that’s her, she’s really here,” Willow said putting Taylor down. She turned so she could see Tara when she entered the waiting area. Her knees went weak for a moment when she saw the blonde for the first time, and before she knew it Tara was standing in front of her.
“Hi,” Willow said instinctively wrapping her arms around Tara. She was glad the blonde returned the embrace. “You look beautiful,” she whispered as she released Tara.
“You too,” Tara said smiling.
“Oh this,” Willow said motioning to her outfit. “I’ve had this for ages, I just threw it on.”
“No you didn’t,” Taylor said, “we just buyed it tonight at the mall, member? You tried on like a kajillion shirts for you got that one. You wanted to look special for Tara. I know you member, Mommy.”
“You wanted to look special for me?” Tara asked grinning.
“Well... you know...”
“Yes, she did,” Taylor firmly stated.
“Don’t you have a mute button?” Willow said looking at her daughter.
“I don’t know, what’s a moot button?”
“Never mind,” Willow said turning to look at Tara who was giggling. “I don’t suppose we can pretend that never happened?”
“Just this once,” Tara smirked.
“You’re an angel,” Willow said taking Tara’s hand. “Did you check any bags?”
“One,” Tara said loving the electric feeling of Willow’s hand in her own as they walked to the baggage claim.
“Is it purple like this one?” Willow asked pointing to the bag slung over Tara’s shoulder.
“Yeah,” Tara said, “it’s actually that one right there,” she said motioning to a purple suitcase that had just come into view.
“I’ll get it,” Willow said stopping Tara from retrieving her own bag. “See, no problem,” Willow said returning to Tara’s side finding that Taylor had taken the hand she had been holding. “Hey, wasn’t that my hand?” She asked pouting at Taylor.
“Finders keepers,” Taylor giggled.
“I do have two,” Tara said waving her free hand. Willow took the offered hand and grinned at the blonde.
“I was thinking we could go out to eat and then go home, or if you’d rather we can go home first and then eat,” Willow said nervously, “whichever you want to do.”
“I want to eat,” Taylor proclaimed. “My tummy is all rumbly.”
“Eating first is fine,” Tara said. “Where are we going?” She asked as they approached Willow’s white corolla.
“McDonald’s,” Taylor said.
“No, no McDonald’s,” Willow said fastening Taylor’s seat belt. “I thought we could someplace a little nicer, like O’Brien’s.”
“Yuck,” Taylor said. “They only have big people food and I’m not a big people.”
“They do not, you can get the same thing there as you can at McDonald’s,” Willow said navigating her out of the parking lot.
“They don’t gots toys,” Taylor retorted.
“McDonald’s is okay with me,” Tara said whispering it in Willow’s ear so Taylor couldn’t hear.
“Wow,” Willow said sighing. Tara looked at her quizzically. “Whisper... ear... oh never mind,” she babbled blushing.
“I get it,” Tara said smiling and doing it again.
“You’re a tease,” Willow whispered back grinning at Tara. “Okay, Taylor, thanks to Tara’s kind heart we’re going to McDonald’s.”
“Yay! Thank you Tara,” Taylor said giddily.
“You’re welcome.”
“It’s pretty close to the apartment, so that’s good. I really did want to take you some place nicer on your first night here,” Willow said.
“I really don’t mind. It’s been a long day anyway so a quick meal seems perfect. You know the faster we eat the sooner we get to your house and get settled in and... have some time together,” Tara smiled.
“We can hit the drive thru,” Willow said turning into the parking lot.
“Nooooo,” Taylor whined. “We need to go in. I want to slide after I eat. Aren’t you gonna slide Mommy?”
“You slide?” Tara questioned.
“Maybe once or twice before,” Willow blushed.
“I’d like to see that,” Tara said. She had instinctively gone to the back seat to unbuckle Taylor because her car seat was on her side. Once Taylor was out she took her hand, and the little girl willingly held hers. Willow followed her girls into the McDonald’s and watched as Taylor told Tara what she wanted, and was impressed that Tara got her to trade the fries and soda for milk and apples.
“You’re amazing,” Willow said taking Tara’s hand as she stepped up to order.
“I am?” Tara asked once they had ordered.
“Yes, not only did you get her out of the car and inside without her fussing, but you actually got her to choose the healthy sides without causing a scene. You’re like a miracle worker.”
“It’s probably because she doesn’t know me that well. I’m sure once she gets used to me it won’t be that easy,” Tara said. She attempted to pick up the tray, but once again Willow offered to carry it and to get her drink while she and Taylor chose a table. Tara wasn’t used to having someone be so chivalrous.
“Let me guess, Taylor picked the table next to the play place door,” Willow said handing Taylor her happy meal and Tara her salad and iced tea.
“It was a joint decision really,” Tara said smiling at the little girl.
“Yep,” Taylor said shoving in another chicken nugget.
“Taylor, slow down, you don’t need to inhale your food, the play place will be there when you finish,” Willow said.
“I’m just extra hungry,” Taylor said still scarfing down her meal.
“No matter how fast you eat you still need to wait for Tara and I to finish before you can play.”
“Oh man,” Taylor said dropping her handful of apples. “How fast do you eat?” She asked Tara.
“Normal speed I think,” Tara answered in between bites.
“Are you sure this is okay?” Willow asked. “I feel weird taking you here.”
“Yes, I’m sure,” Tara smiled. “You don’t have to try to impress me, Willow. I already love you,” she said blushing.
“I love you too,” Willow beamed.
“What about me?” Taylor asked.
“I love you too,” Willow said to her daughter.
“Look, Mommy, all done,” Taylor said proudly. “Are you done?”
“Do I look done?” Willow asked taking a bite of her chicken sandwich.
“Ummmm...” Taylor said looking at Tara.
“Wouldn’t it be fun if we finished our food out there?” Tara asked Willow.
“No,” Willow responded.
“Sure it would, we could sit together and watch Taylor play... leaving us to have grown up talk at the table,” Tara said nudging Willow with her foot under the table.
“Well, when you put it that way,” she said gathering the food and putting it on the tray to take outside.
“Not so bad, right?” Tara asked sitting next to Willow.
“Not bad at all,” Willow replied with a smile. “I’m really glad you’re here. I know we haven’t had a whole lot of chances yet to talk because of Taylor, but I just wanted you to know that.”
“I’m glad I’m here too. It felt like time kept slowing down the closer it got, probably not for you cause I’m sure you were really busy getting everything ready even though I told you not to,” Tara said smiling at Willow.
“Maybe I cleaned a little,” Willow said.
“You didn’t have to though and you don’t have to call in sick to work either.”
“We’ve been over this a million times on the phone, I have tons of sick days, personal days, and vacation days. I won’t get into any trouble or anything. There is no way I could spend the next two days at work knowing you were sitting at home. I’d go nuts and probably end up making mistakes,” Willow said looking into Tara’s blue eyes. “Your eyes are gorgeous.”
“Thank you,” Tara said blushing. “Are you trying to change the subject?”
“No, not really. I just had to say it cause I’ve been thinking it since the airport.”
“What else have you been thinking?” Tara asked giving Willow a sly smile.
“It’s not really appropriate for a McDonald’s playground,” Willow said leaning over and whispering in Tara’s ear, delighted when she saw her blushing. “You’re the one who wore that shirt,” Willow whispered before going back to her meal. Tara blushed and looked wide eyed at Willow. She couldn’t believe the other woman had said that. Willow turned and saw the blonde staring at her, she winked and then picked up a french fry.
“Are you ready to slide yet?” Taylor asked running over to the table.
“I don’t think I’m going to slide tonight,” Willow said not wanting to embarrass herself in front of Tara, especially now, since she had just pulled off the cool flirting thing.
“You always slide,” Taylor pouted.
“Slide with her,” Tara said smiling.
“Okay, I’ll do it, if you do it,” Willow said turning the tables. No more of her girls ganging up on her.
“I don’t...”
“You gotta, Tara. Pleeeeeaaaase,” Taylor begged.
“Okay, okay... you win,” Tara said conceding defeat. Taylor grabbed her hand and dragged Tara to the cubbies.
“First you gotta take your shoes off and put them in the cubby by Ronald. You can’t wear your shoes in the balls cause then they’d get dirty. Now follow me and I’ll take you down the slide that goes into the ball pit. It’s the bestest one, right, Mommy?”
“Yep, it is,” Willow said following behind Tara, enjoying the view.
“You go first,” Taylor said exiting the tunnel. Tara crawled out behind her and managed to get to her feet in the small space. Willow wasn’t as fortunate. She was stuck in the tunnel until either Taylor or Tara went down the chute.
“Taylor you go first so you can show Tara how to do it,” Willow said peeking her head out of the tunnel.
“Okay,” the little girl said flinging herself down the side.
“Hi,” Willow said standing next to Tara and smiling. “I believe it’s your turn.”
“I think I need to see it one more time,” Tara said grinning.
“Nope, you are going first even if I have to push you down myself,” Willow said moving closer to Tara.
“What is takin’ so long?” Taylor asked squeezing her way out of the tunnel, pushing the two women together.
“Tara’s just a little scared,” Willow said.
“It’s okay, Tara. I used to be scared too, but at the bottom you just land in balls and it don’t hurt,” Taylor said. “See watch me again.”
“Your turn,” Willow said giggling. Seeing as how there was no way to get Willow down first, Tara took a breath and went down the slide landing in the ball pit next to Taylor.
“You gotta move over like this,” Taylor said moving further from the slides end. Tara copied, allowing Willow enough space to land. No sooner than she had reached her destination, Willow came crashing out of the slide sending balls flying everywhere inside the netted enclosure.
“Mommy slides the bestest,” Taylor said laughing.
“I can see that,” Tara smiled.
“Don’t feel too bad, I’ve had years of practice figuring out how to achieve maximum velocity off the slide,” Willow said helping Tara to a standing position, “it’s just physics really.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Tara said not releasing the redhead’s hand once she was upright.
“Okay, baby, it’s time to go,” Willow said as Taylor came barreling down the slide once again.
“One more and then you need to get your shoes on,” Willow said showing Tara how to exit the ball pit without ending back up on the equipment.
“That was fun,” Tara said sitting down, putting her shoes on.
“Really?” Willow questioned.
“Yeah, I haven’t done anything like this in... I’ve never done anything like this,” Tara said laughing.
“Really?” Willow asked again. Tara got up and knelt down in front of Willow taking her hands.
“Please try and relax. I promise you I’m having a good time. In the short amount of time I’ve been here I’ve already had more fun than on any other trip I’ve ever taken. So promise me that you’ll relax and just let things happen.”
“Only if you promise me that you’ll tell me if you don’t like something,” Willow said.
“I promise.”
“Okay, than I promise too,” Willow said leaning down and placing a chaste kiss on Tara’s lips. “Oh... I’m sorry,” she said shaking her head. “It just happened, I didn’t mean...” Tara placed her finger over Willow’s lips to quiet her.
“Do you remember my promise?” Tara asked. Willow nodded her head yes. “I never break my promises,” she said pulling Willow’s face down to her own and lightly kissing her, forgetting entirely that they were at McDonald’s.
“Ewww,” Taylor said bringing her shoes over to Tara. Tara broke the kiss and blushed.
“Just wait until you’re older and then you won’t be saying ewwww,” Willow said smiling. “Give me your shoes.”
“No, I want Tara to do it,” Taylor said wedging in between the two women and sitting on Tara’s knees. Without so much as a blink Tara took one sandal and then the other reaching around Taylor to slip them on and fasten them. Willow watched the ease at which Tara interacted with Taylor and she just knew without a single doubt that she would spend the rest of her life with that woman.
“Mommy, come on,” Taylor said pulling on Willow’s hand.
“Sorry,” she said standing, “sometimes that happens.”
“Lost in thought?” Tara questioned picking up the tray.
“Yeah,” Willow said attempting to take it from her.
“Not this time,” Tara said. “Let me do something for you.”
“You already did, you came here to see me,” Willow said.
“Okay then, let me do something else for you.”
“Just this one time, from now on I will empty all the trays,” Willow said holding the door open and taking Taylor’s hand before she could run into the restaurant.
“Thank you,” Tara said walking through the open door and heading to the nearest trash can.
“Now where are we going?” Taylor asked walking through the door with her mom.
“Home,” Willow answered.
“Awww man,” Taylor responded.
“It’s almost nine o’clock, where did you want to go?” Willow asked.
“Ummm... to Buffy’s,” Taylor said.
“Maybe another time,” Willow said as they headed to the exit.
“How far away is home?” Tara asked before opening the door.
“Five minutes, why?” Willow asked.
“Curious,” Tara said holding the door open for Willow and Taylor.
“Potty break?” Willow asked walking by Tara. The way the blonde blushed she knew she was right. “No worries,” Willow said taking Tara’s hand as they walked to the car. “You can have first dibs at home and I bet my bathroom is a lot cleaner than theirs,” she said opening the car door for Tara and then helping Taylor into her seat.
“Thanks,” Tara said still blushing.
“Hey,” Willow said turning Tara’s face to hers once she was in the driver’s seat, “I didn’t mean to embarrass you. If it makes you feel any better I have to pee too, and we’re going to my house which will be even more embarrassing to me, and I really just want you to smile again.”
“Okay,” Tara said giving Willow a small smile.
“Will a kiss make you smile bigger?”
“It will make me puke,” Taylor said making her presence known. “YUCK!” She yelled as Willow kissed Tara softly anyway.
“I feel much better,” Tara said as they pulled apart.
“My job here is done,” Willow said starting the car. “Now don’t be too judgmental about the apartment. I did clean and stuff, but you know we talked about the stains and stuff, and it’s kinda small...”
“Willow, it’s fine,” Tara said. “It’s not like my apartment is a palace. I’m just excited to be here with you.”
“I’m relaxing again,” Willow said turning into the entrance of the apartment complex. “We’re actually all the way down this road and then there’s a parking lot, and we have to walk around the path to get to the apartment door, which I know is really strange and semi-inconvenient, but for the price it was the best one I could find, and I’ll just stop now and park the car.”
“This is you relaxed?” Tara asked.
“Yeah, you should see me when I’m worked up,” Willow said pulling into her parking space.
“We’re home,” Taylor said trying to unbuckle herself.
“Push in the button first,” Willow said offering her expertise.
“I got it, I got it, I got it,” Taylor yelled excitedly trying to open the car door.
“I’ll get it,” Willow said getting out of the car, “I have the child lock on,” Willow explained to Tara as she ran around to let Taylor out.
“I could’ve opened it,” Tara said smiling.
“Well, I didn’t think of that,” Willow said blushing. “I guess when you’re used to doing everything by yourself all the time, it’s easy to forget when you actually have help.”
“And I am here to help. I want to help,” Tara said.
“I’d feel bad asking, you’re my guest,” Willow said retrieving Tara’s bag from the trunk.
“I’m not a regular guest though,” Tara said.
“Exactly,” Willow agreed, “you’re an extra special guest so let me pamper you and take care of you, and then the next time you come I’ll put you to work.”
“At least let me carry one of my bags.”
“Nope I’m taking them both, but you can take the key and unlock the door,” Willow said holding out the keys.
“Come on, come on,” Taylor said grabbing Tara’s hand and trying to drag her up the path. “I want to show you my room and my Dora tent that Mommy got me to sleep in while you’re here. I even gots a camping mat and a sleeping bag.” Willow did her best to keep up with her two girls and she hoped Taylor wasn’t pulling Tara’s arm off. The blonde fumbled with the key a little before she finally got the door unlocked. She wanted to wait for Willow, but Taylor pulled her through the door.
“Well, this is home,” Willow said coming up behind the blonde.
“It’s very nice,” Tara said glancing around the apartment. From where she stood at the front door she could tell that she was in the living room. She was able to see the kitchen and what she assumed was the dining room.
“Come on, this way,” Taylor said pulling her again. “This is my room,” the little said dragging Tara down a short hall to the door at the end. It was bigger than Tara thought it would be and full of toys. “This is my bed and this is my Dora tent, see?”
“I do, it’s very cool.”
“Taylor, please let Tara go, I want to show her the rest of the apartment and you need to get your pajamas on and go to bed,” Willow said.
“But I don’t want to,” Taylor protested.
“I know you don’t want to, but she’ll still be here tomorrow, and it’s late,” Willow said gently.
“I don’t care,” Taylor cried. Willow picked up the little girl and took her from the room. Tara looked around wondering if she should wait there in Taylor’s room or if she should go wait in the living room. Just then her need to use the bathroom put in it’s own vote. It wasn’t too hard to find the bathroom and she was glad to have something to do. She wondered what Willow was saying to her daughter. She couldn’t hear any yelling which was a good sign in her opinion. After washing her hands she ventured back out into the living room and sat down on the sofa.
“I’m sorry,” Willow said coming down the hall. “I know she’s really tired and that’s probably why she was whining, but...”
“You don’t have to apologize for parenting,” Tara smiled. “I understand and it’s nice to see how well you take care of her.”
“Thanks,” Willow said moving closer to the blonde. “Do you want a tour or would you rather just sit and talk? Or, you know if you’re tired we can go to bed, I know you must have had a long day, and I didn’t mean we could go to bed like sleep together go to bed, I meant that you could go in my bed and I would go in Taylor’s, I would never presume...”
“Willow,” Tara said stopping the babble and giggling, “I knew what you meant, and I’m okay right now. We can do whatever you want to do.” Willow smiled at Tara and sat down next to her.
“I’m nervous,” she said.
“Me too.”
“It’s weird, you know, because I wasn’t at all, and now...” Willow said fidgeting with her hands. “You’re here, and I just can’t believe you’re here.”
“It does seem like a dream,” Tara commented.
“A really, really good dream,” Willow chuckled.
“Yes.”
“Mommy, how about...”
“Taylor, how about you go back to bed,” Willow said secretly grateful for the interruption.
“Do I hafta?” Taylor whined.
“Yes,” Willow said. The little girl huffed off back down to her room. “Again, with the sorry. I have a feeling it won’t be the last time she comes out.”
“That’s okay,” Tara said.
“You really are too wonderful,” Willow said. “ I mean, you’re nice, understanding, sweet, and beautiful,” she finished giving the blonde a shy smile making her blush. “I really do enjoy doing that.”
“I know,” Tara said knowing exactly what Willow was talking about.
“God, you’re beautiful,” she said sliding closer just wanting to be able to feel her, to touch her. She stopped as soon as their legs made contact taking Tara’s hand in her own. “I’m so very happy you’re here,” she said. “I know I said that already, but... I just thought it bared repeating.” Willow leaned forward lightly brushing her lips over the other woman’s. It was possibly the most gentle kiss she’d ever experienced. Tara’s lips were so incredibly soft. She longed to deepen it, to explore her and taste her, but that might be taking things just a little too far. Reluctantly, very reluctantly, she pulled back.
“Wow,” Tara said blushing.
“Yeah,” Willow agreed nodding. “So... how about that tour?” Willow said needing to put some distance between them before things went further than she was intending them to go. Tara smiled, understanding, just like Willow knew she would.
