This is another Tara perspective from the moment she knew she had to leave Willow when she became ultra careless on her magic binges. I guess I'm in one of those angsty modes this evening...so here goes!





Inside,

I rupture.

I move to undo

what has been done.

My life in boxes

which won’t pack themselves...

and now,

I strain to leave

all that has been home.



My heart implodes

a familiar pain.

It leaves me trembling,

hurting,

alone in grief.

I fear

that in this darkness

you've helped to create,

you will choose

it over me.



Horrific,

this pain I simmer in.

When you played

with magic

you played me out.



I am not yours

for the sake of your enjoyment

only.



I am yours

because I have love for you

only.



But when I speak to you

my words

seem empty.

And I know

I must lose you

to hopefully find you again.



I hope you find me, Willow.



I remain yours

but I must leave

so you find us again.

And I loved how you echoed "only" at the end of 2 lines in the Tara leaves Willow poem. I also think that you beautifully articulated her dilemma and much better than the ME writers did. I'm not much for angst but you so beautifullu captured Tara's feelings that it was wonderful to see the love in the pain. Thanks.

Perhaps Tara might have thought and felt something like this during the brainsucking effects...like being catatonic and/or unable to express yourself...but you know exactly what's going on around you.









Hollowness crept

within my mind

tumbling and drifting

me further away...

yet I knew you were there.



Darkness plunged

inside my heart,

cold and helpless

in a prison of self...

yet I felt you beside me.



Fingers stirring

inside my head,

a horrible tonic

which never mixes....

yet you held me strong.



My body hated

the dirtyness I felt,

filthy and stale,

this unwashable misery...

yet I knew I was loved.



I was trapped and caged,

unable to break free.

My mind jagged,

broken...

whispery shadows of what was.

But in that place

I could not survive,

I knew you were there.

This kind of love,

your kind of love...

it pulled me through.

Tara: It's not really so much about hating the men...

Willow: We're more centered around the girl on girl action
