So, Washi, I told you I would email you or post here with my comments about your story. And, here I am, late as is par for the course with me, but here nonetheless.



Where to begin? As a wannabe writer myself, I guess I would have to start with the fact that you have captured the essence of the Willow and Tara characters very well. I enjoy fan-fic's that are able to not only be innovative in their own right, but also true to the nature of their original incarnations. There were many times when I could actually "hear" the voices of the characters coming through, most particularly in Willow's inner thoughts. You really nailed that trait quite well.



As for the content? Well, I have never thought of myself as a very good writer of smut, or sex. It is something I have struggled with. Probably why I like to write scripts -- leave it up to the director and actors to "get busy." But, jeepers, wow! That was some heavy-duty sexing going on there. You are quite adept at writing very sensual and sexual scenes, but that in itself isn't what is good about your writing. I think that lines like, "Tara poked her head in her and Willow's room and smiled, seeing her lover's brow furrowed in concentration. Willow's mind worked in mysterious ways, but Tara knew that sometimes, it was well worth it," "Thanks baby, but I think I'm just good at you," "Nah, you're just really really good. The best I've ever had." Really show an intimacy between the characters; and for me, personally, intimate peeks into the characters' lives always heighten sexuality and sensuality. For some reason, these simple statements delivered that. Again, very, very nice.



The sex, itself? Well, I guess if I knew how to do one of those emoticons, I'd give you a fainting thud one. It was very steamy. But again, also, I liked little things you wrote, things that implied a deeper intimacy between them. For example, ". . . tossing her head back and uttering one word, the word she knew would make her lover melt into a puddle of spineless desire. "Oh Willow." she moaned. Until then, Willow had stopped herself from jumping from the seat and ravishing her lover." Just those lines show how well they know one another, on more than just a sexual level. Bravo.



Why you wanted my feedback is still a mystery to me, but. . . . I wanted to make sure to write something. And not just because I said I would, but because you are a good writer and deserve to know that. Keep writing, Washi, keep writing.

I'm really happy that you thought I wrote the character true to themselves (I was going to say true to life, but then I thought more like true to paper ). It's something I kinda stumbled at at first, but that I eventually think I managed to do well.

I'm one to think that the intimacy of the relationship is very important. Even thought it may be sexual and raw, and even kinky, it's still two people in love. I'm glad you thought so too.

Well, the reason I wanted feedback is because I'm a feedback whore. Actually, as a fic writer, like many others here, it's our only 'pay', i's the thing that keeps us writing, plus, I like to know what I do well and what I don't to know how I can improve myself.
